Sadly I did not. The Gunns cut a promo last week saying they were the best brother tag team in AEW and to prove it they were going to fight The Hardys and win.

Somehow they went from The Gunns possibly joining Bullet Club Gold two weeks ago to this. I have no idea what is going on either. Hopefully this is just a reason to get them on TV so something else can happen.

CM Punk vs KENTA was penciled in for Forbidden Door but apparently it has been scrapped. Good chance neither shows up tonight, unless they come up with another plan for Punk.

Rumours are swirling that MJF is actually going to no-show Forbidden Door and Punk is going to put his title on the line in his place, but those are just fan theories really. Punk was supposed to face Tanahashi last year but got injured, Punk has a title that he claims still belongs to him, Tanahashi is looking for a title match, MJF thinks NJPW is beneath him...it would all add up but I don't see it actually happening.

Also consider that Adam Cole won the Eliminator match and also has a title shot. Wonder what he says tonight. I could see him calling out Tanahashi and being like "wtf bro? I had a title shot first and you just walk in here and take it?"

KENTA from the start did not seem to want the Punk match. Not surprised he is not there. Great that Hangman and the Elite all told to stay home, now MJF may be told to say home on the PPV. So glad Punk returned, look at how the company thrives.

And drew basically the exact same rating as the Elite.

I forgot to list the tag team Blind Eliminator tournament that will determine who will face FTR for the AEW Tag Team titles.

They just announced that the draw will be happening tonight, so it looks like they will draw teams who will compete over the next few shows and the winners will face FTR.

No timeline has been set so we don’t know if the match will take place at Forbidden Door or not. I guess we will see.

Guessing Bullet Club Gold win, unless an NJPW team get drawn and speed run the tournament to face them on Sunday.
