The finish was a little flat but I think that was just due to the mayhem of it all. Nobody watching at home saw Moxley quit and it wasn't until Excalibur clarified that we knew why the bell rang.

I would have liked if they had Yuta trapped like they did, then both Matt and Nick revealed exploding shoes. They start to line Yuta up and Moxley, having been on the receiving end of one before, knows Yuta is about to be "severely concussed" so he calls it. I also would have liked to see a little more emotion from Moxley towards the end. He just sat there instead of trying to escape or get Claudio's attention. If he was freaking the fuck out and screaming at the ref then the finish would have looked better.

I did like that he just sat there after the fact though. The Elite were celebrating and taunting him and he was just like "it was 5 on 3 wtf do you want?"

So now either the BCC says they lost because they weren't at full force, or they turn their attention to Takeshita & PAC and teach them a lesson. Or they do both and we get yet another match when Danielson is healthy. I dunno.

Just saw that Tony announced PAC vs Claudio for the ROH World title at the PPV this weekend. That answers that.

No #AllElite graphic for Ibushi either. I was expecting one. I guess he is happy to be a free agent for now. Honestly it might be best for him. He doesn't need the money and he doesn't seem to like being tied down to one place. Obviously AEW could work that into his contract but this works too. They can get him when they want him. I hope he sticks around for a little bit and we get a Golden Lovers tag match next week.

BCC stuck around and shook hands with The Elite after the match. Feud over. Respect earned. Glad that made it onto TV!!

Blood and guts was fun, I enjoyed the match.

Bucks shoe was not the exploding gimmick. It was a shoe with the entire bottom having thumbtacks glued to it for the thumbtack superkick. So many people were wondering why it did not explode though. I assume the camera Mox fucked up was the one that would have gotten the shot of it.

I'm liking this new side of Jack Perry. I can't believe this career babyface is such a natural heel but he's doing a great job. Some people need a generic heel turn to get to the next level, perhaps there is no better example. Hook is compelling in his own way, and beloved, but in this match he just felt like an afterthought, a means to an end. I'm not saying Hook was bad or anything, but it's clearly the Jack Perry show.

I was skeptical about Cole/MJF, but that tag team tournament final was tremendously entertaining. They did the right thing and went 100% goofball, from the dance off at the start to the very end.

Blood and Guts was certainly something. Insane levels of brutality and they kept a strong pace going through the duration. It's odd how Mox was stabbing people with forks, throwing them onto glass and nails, yet he bled 10 times more than everyone else. I didn't even see how he got busted open the first time but suddenly there was blood pouring all over his body. Loved Callis demanding Takeshita leave when he saw that BCC were getting tied up.

The finish was poorly communicated but it was pretty clear the match was going to end around that point. One other thing I didn't like was how irrelevant Ibushi felt. But it's an odd place to be in - while this is Ibushi's grand return match, he's also not been involved in this feud at all so it may not be best for him to steal all the attention. Ibushi also looks...different. He looks beefier, and not in a good way.

I know that. I was just saying it would have provided a little more build and tension for the end of the match. Mox took an exploding shoe to the face and wouldn’t want Yuta to take two.

The production was shit all night. AEW has had issues for a while now. I know B&G is a tough match to catch everything but even simple shit was being missed. Ibushi enters the ring and kills everyone, then he picks up Omega and the two are about to hug and the camera cuts to something else. Happened twice.
