It was a match that was supposed to happen in Japan but COVID cancelled.

It is likely Will wanted the match. Jericho is a massive influence on Will, and this is a dream match of his. I do not like it, but if Will wants it, whatever. He is not an AEW employee, so just happy to get him when he does show up.  You do not say no to the best in the world.

The guy who is missing that really has me going WTF is ZSJ.  I am guessing it is PAC, ZSJ and someone joining BCC as PAC also is notably absent from this card.  If Nigel is doing a match this is the clusterfuck to do it in.  Otherwise may get Kip in here.  Secretly hoping they use one of the UK Hooligans or Roy Knight Jr though.  The old man Ricky Knight is just a little too old now I think to be used.  But would love to see a Knight family member in that match.

Looks like no Fenix or AR Fox for All In. Fox has a sick grandma people are saying, and sounds like Fenix had passport issues which is why he was written out and numbers got silently changed.

Looks like both were extreme last minute changes.  

Also feel bad for Tony. No way All In can compete with two Gatoh Move shows in London this weekend.

A little more final hype for All In.  Crazy their chemistry is still fucking amazing here.

It's incredible how likeable they are. That's a surprisingly effective hype video.

I could see Cole & MJF winning the ROH tag belts. Then the story continues. They could stay together & slowly make each other worse people instead of better people. They could make this angle huge for a while.

The tag match is to obviously inject tension into the main event.

An obvious miscommunication between MJF and Cole would lead to Aussie Open retaining and the two main eventers turning on each other.

Or, the masterful villain MJF feeds Cole to the wolves during the pre-show and Adam Cole is against all odds in the main event coming in hurt.

Both these things could have been achieved on Dynamite or Rampage this week.

I don't understand why'd you risk injury either guy by having them open the show.

Or ALL IN opens hot with the tag match having broken down and Adam Cole and MJF being separated by security and then Nigel McGuinness stands up and says " I've just got word from TK, the World Title match starts now! Ring the bell! " and the place explodes.

Ohhhh if they didn’t already announce that it was the main event, that would be a fucking crazy start to the show. Cut away from Zero Hour with the crowd losing their minds and MJF and Adam Cole about to rip one another to pieces. Fuck yeah.

I don’t know anything about AEW storylines but having the main event double up with a pre-show match makes absolutely no sense. Why wouldn’t you keep the anticipation to see these two stars until the end of the night?

I still can’t get over how terrible it is. It was the wrong call, whoever made it.

He needs a generic mean heel theme and that’s it. He’s not nearly over enough or charismatic enough to pull off whatever vibe they’re going for.

Adam Cole asked MJF for a favour, which was that he never won the ROH Tag titles during his time there. He said he wanted to win them with his new best friend before they do the biggest main event in history together. MJF said he was crazy for asking him to wrestle twice in one night, but would do it because it meant so much to Cole.

Then every time they were in the ring together over the following weeks, they both teased turning on the other, but would eventually hug it out.

I’m not really sure what the point of all of it was but I assume whatever pay off is coming is happening tonight, then no matter what they will be bound by the tag titles and have to figure that out.

I don’t hate it and their story together has been really fun, but I don’t really get it either. Whatever is what it is.

MM will lose patience when she realizes nobody stacks up to her in the division & just leaves. This is still better than signing Saraya. She has been useless.
