I mentioned in the other thread, that I'm super excited for this show.

Bryan Danielson vs. Zack Sabre Jr. is going to be awesome AF, but I'm also pumped up for FTR/Aussie Open, honestly either one of those could easily be the match of the night. I'm also happy to see that Julia Hart is getting a title shot, even though I doubt she'll pick up the win. Honestly, there really isn't a bad match on the card.

Edge is free for Wrestle Dream. Does not mean he will appear, but he can appear. Tony did say this marks the end of the first era of AEW, and what better way to bookend things than bringing out Edge.

And Darby vs Christian feels like a great place to do the debut. Have Edge destroy Darby in his hometown leaving him in a bloody heap.

I wonder if this is why Khan booked WrestleDream for this date?  Knowing that Edge's contract expires the day before.

I really want to say yes. If he is a fan of Edge, even if he could not land him, I think he would prepare in case he does get him to show up. And for Edge, I assume he agrees to work, he sets the terms and is on a Sting like deal of doing what he wants. Then I assume like Sting he will be a fucking maniac forgetting he was forced to retire at one point.

What gets interesting is if Edge does appear, Matt and Jeff both said they wanted to go out after a ladder match with Edge and Christian. Likely could see Matt, Edge and Jeff all walk off into the sunset together at some point in the near future. Assume when that occurs, Matt becomes an AEW agents, Jeff focuses on his music, and Edge either sits home doing Edge things, or HHH gets him to work with HBK in NXT teaching the promo classes.

But yeah, we get Edge, it likely will start a very special program with him, Christian and the Hardyz eventually. And everyone's dads.

Wrestle Dream has a far more exciting card than All Out.

They sold me solely with ZSJ and DB. Anything else is bonus.

That said, Hangman vs Swerve is likely to be amazing and I suspect can steal the show. Likely will be Hangman doing what he does best, and Swerve mirroring it.

MJF vs the Righteous is gonna be interesting. Was a good match form the start but now with Cole hurt, gonna be very interesting to see where they go? Does Strong replace him? Or does someone else step up as MJF's ally?  Real interesting audible that could be called is Strong trying to replace Cole as MJF's best friend.  So many ways this all can go to keep the stories going while Cole is hurt.  Also buys time to get Kyle into the mix.  Everything is a hot mess, but Tony plays it right, hurt Cole can just make this story even better, like hurt Strong did.

Gunn Club been on fire of late too so expect them to be awesome in the scramble.

Also based on what Britt was saying on social media, Cole is not looking to take much time off. He needs surgery, but sounds like he will be back as soon as he can travel again afterwards.

This card is equivalent to bacon!

-I will be stunned if Edge shows up. I don’t think he will join AEW, personally.
-if he does show up, he is getting a massive pop.
-would be very hard to align him with Christian after that.
-especially if Darby wins and gets the hometown pop. Don’t wanna overshadow that.

This card absolutely fucks. This might be the best show AEW does all year, and that is saying something because they have had some great shows this year.

Rampage/Collision might shed more light this weekend but I’m really curious where things go with MJF/Cole/Jay White. It was pretty obvious that it wasn’t MJF who attacked Jay White with masked henchmen, so who was it? And why are the framing MJF? And if MJF is distracted heading into the handicap match, does that mean he is dropping the titles to The Righteous? I can’t see either of those dudes pinning the AEW Champion who hasn’t been pinned since CM Punk did it like a year ago.

I’m guessing The Kingdom & Roderick Strong had something to do with it, but there were extra guys there. Maybe Kyle O’Reilly is back? Maybe it was just extra bodies to fuck with MJF more? Really interesting stuff.

Anyway, there isn’t a bad match on this card. I’m really looking forward to this one.

Here is another story that could happen. The Righteous been saying MJF and Cole are not good people. Maybe they pushed MJF to unleashing the devil again. And in the match no one comes out, but instead, the Righteous coax out the devil in MJF, forcing him to not only win with the ring and cord, but to bring out the MJF that feuded with Punk. The violent MJF. And he wins while Cole and crew look on in horror.

Righteous lose the win, but win the contest of will.  Not to different from how Righteous turned Grayson, then Dark Order into more violent versions of themselves either.

As for the rest of the people I assume they are setting up Kingdom, Strong and MJF to feud with BC.  Cole begs MJF to help strong to move forward the strong friendships story while he is hurt and cannot help himself.

With the Rampage Andre promo, thinking that was LiG that attacked White, given they been feuding with Andre. Which would make the devil Rush.  

If WrestleDream marks the end of an era, you can damn well bet, LiG will open the next one.  If Andre is really committing too, it will likely be amazing.  

I still like my idea better, but LiG vs Bullet Club would be fire and leave the the MJF crew to do their own thing elsewhere.

If Christian is in the main event, that means Tony got Ledge. Otherwise it would have been DB vs ZSJ. Only Ledge would be bigger.

Cole said Kyle still is not ready for a return.  And he may never be cleared. He has the same injury Big E has.

For what is up with him, he had neck fusion surgery, then post surgery issues, and he has type 1 diabetes that makes this all a lot more complicated.  Any sane man would have retired, but he wants to return.  It is gonna take time though.

Odd that they would put MJF at a disadvantage against The Righteous & not The Kingdom. I'm leaning towards a Flair-like double-cross when Cole fights The Kingdom with MJF being Sting in that circumstance.

They built up the Righteous before Cole got hurt. They are just kind of going with it still rather than pivot.

Kingdom vs MJF is more of a slow burn I assume.

Emperor something I read this morning re: The Righteous that I didn’t know. Apparently Bray Wyatt wanted to bring them to WWE and be part of his “Wyatt 6” storyline that he was building. Stable would have been Bray, Bo, The Righteous, I assume Alexa Bliss and another person.

The Righteous ended up signing with AEW/ROH because of Wyatt’s health issues and not knowing when he would return. Anyway it reminded me of our conversation the other day.
