Achane apparently has a knee injury. McDaniel said he is "dealing with it" and wouldn't elaborate further.

Belichik era may be over sooner than later. Things look like they're only getting worse. Mac ain't the one. The defense are collectively on stretchers. Below .500 record in 50+ games since Brady took his talents to South Beach. No way Kraft fires him but a mutual parting if things don't improve within a few years doesn't seem too crazy. Vader probably wants to end his career with the Giants one day anyways since that's where Emperor Palpatuna helped to mold him. I think this terrible season is only good for the future of New England. If somehow, some way they end up getting Caleb Williams not only will Blindy have a stroke but I don’t think they let anyone but Bill start his career out in New England.

Wow, some of the highlights today. Football is so exciting. I had no expectations of the Giants today and as a result just enjoyed Miami's offence who are becoming a whenever possible watch. Achane is an almost unfair add to Hill and Waddle. He's averaging 12 yards a carry which is just absurd. Giants defence actually did a decent job forcing three turnovers (after none in the first four games) but the offence is just so inept they might as well not have bothered. Having watched Minnesota most weeks this season it's hilarious to see their good fortunes from last year bite them in the ass. This year's team is a lot better than last but they are finding unique ways to shoot themselves in the foot every week. Cousins has been absolutely fantastic but today his receivers let him down with a number of poor drops, and O'Connell had some poor timeout usage that really cost them. Not much to talk about with the Chiefs but the Mahomes play on 3rd and extra long where he was backpedalling from both edge rushers in his face and just lofted it up perfectly for Justin Watson to go up and get it was just spectacular. SNF always felt like it would either be a classic or a 49ers boat race, and boy San Francisco are just plain scary. The offence looks basically unstoppable, the skill position players always get the attention, but Trent Williams completely erased Micah Parsons - and tonight Steve Wilks really brought the defensive heat for the first time this season. The only concern for them is probably if they are peaking too early. Just read that the Dolphins have the Top 7 recorded speeds on a football field this season with Next Gen Stats. 3 of them are Hill 3 of them are Achane 1 of them is Mostert. And then they also just have Waddle hanging out as well. It’s absurd.

I don't think there's much of a chance Belichick is there next season if they have the #1 pick - all indications are that his relationship with Robert Kraft is strained and I don't see the owner standing for it if they continue getting whitewashed like this. What does Bill do well at this point? He's been a poor GM for a long time, the roster is extremely talent poor and he hasn't adjusted to the fact that he can't rely on the championship discount, he's completely bungled his coaching situation by rehiring his old staff rather than adjust to the changes in the league and bring someone in who has fresh ideas, and he doesn't even have his team playing disciplined anymore which used to be his calling card, and should be the first place that a short on talent team starts.
There's no reason right now why you'd choose him for Caleb Williams over someone like Ben Johnson or Ken Dorsey.

Crazy that Achane almost broke it as well and is definitely capable with a 21.93 already this year.

There’s a bunch of Ben Johnson and Ken Dorsey’s in the NFL coaching and they haven’t done anything to change their teams culture and chances to be a dynasty. I would take Bill as HC in Cincinnati, Minnesota and the Chargers right now and I bet all 3 organizations would be much closer to SB contenders then they are now.
Grass is not always greener on the other side. The injuries to New England are a much bigger problem than Bills coaching. As a matter of fact, this debacle of a season could just be the sacrifice he and the organization is willing to make for their future.
They’re not blind to their division either. Miami is too good and too fast and probably have a 2-3 year window. Buffalos window is about the same unless Diggs throws another offseason bitch fit and leaves. The Jets have next season and that’s probably it for them too. New England will be fine. They should just really trust the process that made them fine to begin with. You don’t want to be the Cowboys for the next 20 years.

Rappaport is evil for playing with Jets fans emotions of saying it was only a calf injury for Alijah Vera Tucker, only to confirm via MRI that it was a torn Achilles(Same injury Rodgers got). Once again AVT loses his season in Mile High stadium, and I feel for him because he's in year 3 of a 5 year deal. He should have his 5th year option picked up but I know this will be used against him for his 2nd contract. He deserves to be taken care of. Words can't describe how egoless he is to switch from RG to RT and play about as good with it. In-season too no less, there's a reason Jets fans stan hard for this guy.
This also means Max Mitchell has to hold it at RT until Duane Brown returns who wasn't even great to begin with. I am not huge on switching Becton back to RT to cater to Duane Brown due to seniority but I guess that is what will happen and hopefully Becton is down to do it even if it's not easy to go from RT to LT to RT again.
Jets HAVE TO take an OT round 1 next year, they got sniped this year in the draft on Broderick Jones but this year is no exception, especially if Rodgers does come back. Take a WR in round 3 or whatever, Becton had his option declined and Duane Brown is probably retiring along with AVT coming back maybe midseason at best next year(Get him on whatever stuff Rodgers is on, he is insane to try and comeback this year).

As a matter of fact, if Bill does get let go after this season, if I’m the Chargers, I’m firing the whole coaching staff and bringing in Bill. That defense should be way better then it is and that coaching job has blown 2 seasons already going on 3 with his terrible game management.

The Denver/New England game might decide it too. You want to see how bad Sean Payton will try and throw that one if they're in striking distance. I saw a lil peek of the Denver schedule, @kc/vsGB/vsKC/@buf next 4 games, what could possibly go wrong?

Sean will probably not want a rookie QB anyways next season and sign someone like Tannehill or Minshew to be their QB next season. Someone is being traded on that offense soon too. Whether it’s Sutton, Jeudy or both. They will start their Sean Payton rebuild and it’ll be a 2-3 year experiment. I also love the hot mic catching Saleh saying “Stay Humble” to Sean Payton after the game last night. That’s that New York energy this team needs.

Getting a young QB high buys you time as a head coach, it gives you essentially 2 extra years and I don't think this will be Payton's call alone if Caleb or Maye or whoever are selling tickets for the owner. I don't think Russ can be moved though so he's gonna start over the rookie QB until they make the change. Think Saleh said "Stay Healthy" in that little exchange but Payton pulled a Belichick and ran off after like a 2 second handshake.

Raiders are another one to watch out for, Garappolo isn't going to stop anyone from drafting a QB high and new HC may be brought in(Ben Johnson of DET?) and tempted with a signal caller. DEN/LV II is going to be intriguing, I don't think the Raiders are good enough to sweep anyone this year(I say the same about NE but Zach Wilson falters like such a bitch especially in Foxboro).
Deep QB class but yeah might be lots of suitors, good news for the Jets. Leave us the blue chip OTs, thanks.

I actually think it's the opposite and that he's on thinner ice internally than the broader public would assume, as I said he and Kraft regularly snipe each other these days, I think the grace period is well and truly over. They've been bleh for three seasons and now just plain bad, and Jones has gotten worse each of his three seasons. They're scoring 5 points per game this season on offence. FIVE. Raiders are another one to watch out for, Garappolo isn't going to stop anyone from drafting a QB high and new HC may be brought in(Ben Johnson of DET?) and tempted with a signal caller. O'Brien might be better for a young QB over McDaniels who has on his resume Jimmy G riding bench for years and Tim Tebow for like a cup of coffee before John Fox took over. McDaniels should pull a Kingsbury and like go to Thailand and relax for a season, maybe take over for Belichick if Kraft is that smitten over him. EDIT: I guess McDaniels had that rookie year of Mac where he showed something. Forgot about that, feels like ages ago.

Fair point and you’re not totally wrong but I think when someone is probably the face of your franchise and amass arguably the most dominant infrastructure we’ve seen in modern football - it’s just not that easy. It’ll happen because of the relationship, which was only made worse with the Brady stuff but I don’t think it’s just that simple. And the biggest problem is his GM stuff , roster management obviously but even more egregious is his staff management. I don’t think given the pieces that he just forgot how to coach but if he could go to a place where he doesn’t have full control and just asked to coach under a good GM I think he can be good. The Chargers would be interesting. I’d love to see him in Dallas which I think have a really fun collection a talent.

If Belichick does move on, I can see Robert Kraft go heavy after Jim Harbaugh and try and get him back into the NFL. Probably means JJ McCarthy gets taken in round 1 and the two hook up together.
Stephen Ross still treats Jim Harbaugh as the white whale but you can't let go of McDaniel.
