Two teams are really in the spotlight this week in the primetime games - the Bills enter tonight after three straight poor performances, their offence has been sluggish and is still trying to find a complementary weapon for when Stefon Diggs is held in check, while their defence has laboured since losing key figures Milano and White. They should be able to take care of a Tampa team that has seen a rapid cool down from Baker Mayfield, and a complete ineptitude at running the ball - but we all know that TNF can be weird.

The Chargers follow up as the "under the microscope" side on SNF. Justin Herbert is coming under the microscope for the first time in his career, and the stars on the LA defence like Joey Bosa and Derwin James have been complete non-factors. Lose to Bagent Orange and the Bears and Brandon Staley will be on very dangerous ground.

The game on Sunday that I think is the most intriguing is Cincinnati vs San Francisco. The 49ers have gone from looking utterly unstoppable to very mortal in the space of a fortnight, and now look set to be required to start Sam Darnold. The Bengals started to circle the wagons prior to their bye, and the week off came at a perfect time for Joe Burrow to get closer to 100%. It's still early but they can't afford to fall below .500 with the Ravens surging and the Browns eking out close wins.

Buffalo should have had like 3 interceptions already. Offence is rolling but not getting that last conversion from 1st and goal is a bummer. Really needed that.

Such a weird ending to that game, Tampa's long drive getting endlessly extended through third down conversions and Buffalo penalties, capped with the fluky two-point conversion that had me thinking they were going to pull off the comeback, only for Baker to throw that incredible hail mary that landed untouched, just bizarre.

I couldn't believe he got through waivers to me in our league. Turned out to be a great plug and play, that so nearly could have been even better if he'd managed to get that shovel pass over the goalline for a second TD. He's got so much talent the next month with Knox out should be 📈

There are two guarantees in life as a Bills fan:
