10 days out from Full Gear, the AEW World's Champion, still without the actual belt, continues flirt with impending disaster.  Fresh off defeating Kenny Omega on Collision a week and a half ago, with "Switchblade" Jay White waiting in the wings, and a locker room hunting him down, MJF is back defending the title tonight against Daniel Garcia.

And speaking of Mr. White, Switchblade is also in action tonight.  The other half of the Full Gear main event will be going one-on-one with the returning Mark Briscoe.

And speaking of returns, we haven't seen Red Velvet in an AEW ring in nine months.  But tonight, she's back.  But she'll have a daunting task ahead of her.  As she battles the House of Black's Julia Hart.

Stardom becoming the fastest gateway to a major fed for girls these days. Makes sense though given the quality of wrestling there. Those girls are perhaps the best wrestlers in the world. To get over there you need to be able to do it all, power moves, technical stuff, fly and hit hard and take hard hits, all while showing character and selling, while not leaning into stereotypes like the former idols in TJPW do.

I remember seeing previews for that movie but didn't know that is what it was about. But yeah that.

Was about older white people stealing the bodies of well built black people that they felt were physically superior to essentially move towards becoming immortal.  

Was one of the best takes on Lovecraft's The Thing on the Doorstep done, even using Lovecraft's own racism in the narrative. Really was a genius horror film, and up there with The Thing for best Lovecraft adaptations.
