I can't wait to find out what's behind the Malcolm Butler drama. I keep waiting too, but I doubt we find out. Butler said he guesses they just didn’t think he was good. If only there was an iconic play he could show to prove them wrong? 🤔

What if Philly trades Foles and he becomes a top tier QB and Wentz becomes a dud? Nirvana.

Never gonna happen. Sure Foles played the game of his life but I'm sure he was under no illusions that win or lose Wentz was going to be the starter next season. Wentz is the future there and as long as a lot of the same pieces of that puzzle are there next season, there is no reason to think he won't be just as effective next season as he was before he went down. Foles is a much bigger question mark. Sure he came through in the most important games but if he was at the helm the whole season who knows what would have happened.

Was rooting like crazy for Nick Foles and the Eagles. He played the game of his life tonight and I couldn't be happier for him. Also happy to see one of my favorite players, former Saint Malcolm Jenkins get a ring. One of the best at his position and an even better individual.
Say what you want about the Pats, but all of their SB games are full of drama and come down to the final play. This game was probably even better than last years since the Eagles didn't just fold like the Falcons did. Philly fans setting that city on fire right now LOL.

With that said, there's no guarantee that Wentz comes back next year and things just carry on as they were - just look at what happened to Derek Carr and Oakland. It's very difficult to stay at the top in the NFL, that's why even in loss tonight, Brady and the Patriots are still so remarkable. If only there was an iconic play he could show to prove them wrong? 🤔 To be fair, I think that was more of just an awful play by Seattle and Butler just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Nah, go watch it again. He reads the slant brilliantly and makes a great play to beat Lockette to the ball.

Nah, go watch it again. He reads the slant brilliantly and makes a great play to beat Lockette to the ball. Lockette telegraphed it the whole way, holding his hands out practically as soon as the ball was snapped, still a great play by Butler , but also a bad play by Wilson. Terrible ball placement, leads it late high and to the outside, put it where it's supposed to be or on time, no chance for that pick. Taking nothing away from Butler though, did absolutely everything right, while they did pretty much everything wrong.

He reads the slant brilliantly and makes a great play to beat Lockette to the ball. The same could really be said with Foles too , in fact he's already proven he's capable of great runs and stumbling right back down to the bottom of the barrel of NFL quarterbacks one time before. Once teams get a chance to really get tape on him it will be interesting - all this talk about his RPO success is great and all but it's also unsustainable at that rate. It's why I cringe at the idea of a team emptying their wallet for him because I don't think he's as good as he's been in the last two games and he needs a great offense to work in. Wentz I think will be fine , he's more talented than Foles in every measurable way and has shown growth his first two seasons. I want to see what happens next with Carr - this season was a disaster and they fired his OC that he made the leap with and broke a bone in his back on top of it all. Pederson isn't going anywhere and Wentz hopefully can stay healthy and bounce back - he was a blast to watch.

Has yet to be confirmed about Butler, but the speculation around town is he missed curfew Saturday night and was caught with weed. Who knows if that will ever be officially confirmed by the Patriots?
McDaniels also has yet to officially say he is going to Indy, he may back out...meaning he could be the heir apparent to BB, which could be after next season.
The DC job is supposedly between current LB coach Brian Flores and Greg Schiano of Ohio State, though he has yet to leave the school. Schiano and BB have been close since Schiano was at Rutgers. It'll come down to Schiano and if wants to get back in the NFL.

You might well be right, but I'm prepared to give him a Jeff Fisher mulligan.

It might not matter , as I was wrong and found out today that Foles is in Philly for another year - I thought he was a free agent. Philly will probably use him to begin next season depending on Wentz's recovery timetable. It'll be interesting though if he started the first four games and Philly goes 4-0 or 3-1.
