They probably held QB Jordan Travis' injury against the entire team and said it's a night/day difference when he's in vs him being out now. Think it sets a terrible example that you punish an undefeated side who scheduled as good as they possibly can that because 1 player went down, that should sink everyone else. 

Sucks for Georgia too to drop 5 spots vs a team that made the CFB final, Georgia had a bad 3 hours throughout the entire year and are now out because of it.

Reminds me of 1973, and the Big Ten's decision of having Ohio State earn the bid for the Rose Bowl over Michigan.  Their game ended in a tie, so the athletic directors of the conference had to vote on who earns the bid.  The Buckeyes "earned it" because Michigan's quarterback Dennis Franklin got injured during the game.

If Florida St beats Georgia and a 1 loss team wins the playoff will there be a split national title.

I would kill for LSU/ND, not sure if that can or will happen but whoever gets that one, whether it's ABC/ESPN or CBS or FOX, will be hyping the heck out of it.

EDIT: Oh nevermind It's Oregon St/Notre Dame. Oregon St lost their HC to Mich St so it's an interim coach. 

Happy for these people, that is a lot of families fed and money to be made for the workers. Those are tears of joy and shock of the guy behind the bowl game. That's like waking up and finding a nice $100 dollar bill stashed in the back pocket of a pants you were looking weeks for.


EDIT: Wow this happened because of the Florida St miss, it bumped ND into a pool of getting picked for this game. 

I would just like to say just Deion Sanders winning Sportsman of the year for a 4-8 team is an absolute joke.

In my opinion, I would've thought they'd give the Sportsperson of the Year honor to Travis Kelce.  Heck, if Time Magazine could name Taylor Swift its Person of the Year, might as well give SI's honor to match.  It's not like they're that relevant now-a-days.
