Thursday Night Chargers @ Raiders
Saturday Vikings @ Bengals Steelers @ Colts Broncos @ Lions
Sunday Early Bears @ Browns Bucs @ Packers Texans @ Titans Jets @ Dolphins Chiefs @ Patriots Giants @ Saints Falcons @ Panthers
Sunday Late Commanders @ Rams 49ers @ Cardinals Cowboys @ Bills
Sunday Night Ravens @ Jaguars
Monday Night Eagles @ Seahawks
Bezos got one good game a couple of weeks ago but after Zappe vs Trubisky last week he now gets AOC vs Easton Stick. This game is completely irrelevant, the sole intrigue might be if crotchety Al says anything about being bumped by NBC for the playoffs.
Saturday games start this week and NFL Network actually have a good slate with three matchups between teams with winning records. The most interesting one is the primetime clash between old buddies Sean Payton and Dan Campbell. The Lions desperately need a win having lost 2 of their last 3 and really laying an egg last week against Chicago, while Denver can turn up the heat even more on the Chiefs in the suddenly hot race for the AFC West.
Early on Sunday we'll see if the Dolphins can recover from their truly awful loss on MNF against the suddenly offensive capable Jets. If Miami falter again then it will provide great motivation for the Bills in the late window for their tough clash against the firing on all cylinders Cowboys and new MVP favourite Dak Prescott.
Sunday night features the team who had the best possible Week 14, the Baltimore Ravens, and their opportunity to increase their hold on the #1 seed in the AFC against Jacksonville. MNF sees the Eagles try to right their ship against a Seattle outfit that are on their worst ever losing streak under Pete Carroll.

To top it off for the Bezos Prime Disasters we get every Thursday, other stars missing the game tonight are Josh Jacobs and Keenan Allen.
This is literally a game I told my wife last week “should be fun” and then Sunday happened and here we are. Garbage vs garbage.
Maybe we get a vintage Davante Adams game tonight and he pops off for 150/2. 🤷♂️
Overall, I think the Raiders win tonight. I think the Chargers are about to quit on their Head Coach like the Raiders did to theirs a few weeks ago. Raiders to win 20-17.

If it was my football team I would be embarrassed clinging onto a history that happened somewhere completely else, just the way they are going about it scream pettiness it's all so very bizarre to me. It doesn't get more cringe than Titans fans hollering "Luv Ya Blue" a pure Houston thing that nobody was fucking saying in Tennessee in 97-98. And they wonder why Texans stadium has been empty all year even with this team on the rise, 1/3rd empty seats vs Denver the rest was all Broncos fans. Houston I think is just about ready to give the league the finger with this Titans/Oilers bull****. It wouldn't bother me so much if they kept the Oilers since 1997 through all this time and never changed but they played to empty stadiums the 2 years they wore them then made a big huge official deal about "retiring" it all, to the point where it's even in the Chronology of the league in the record and fact book, the one and only time a franchise retired it's colors/logo/name to change to something else. So Houston gets a new team, the greedy old **** crooked owner pulls his **** that the only way he would vote for Houston to get the expansion team was if they had no access to the Oilers. So lets dig our trash out of the dumpster so the people we screwed over and that are still paying taxes on my bull**** can't have it. Pretty oddball stuff just bizarre and weird that Tennessee titans fans actually embracing all this says a lot about that part of the country, weirdos.
Somebody today said in defense of Tennessee what about the Colts? Well the Colts never changed their **** and threw it in the trash and Johnny Unitas always said **** Indianapolis, I wish some of the old Oilers had that backbone but they need the money. Can't blame them.

I seriously doubt Bum Phillips would have anything to do with the Titans if he were alive, that man was Houston through and through, the shithead franchise waited until he died to put him in their ring of honor get fucked.

I’d be shocked if Staley still has a job tomorrow. The guy might be the worst coach in the NFL - it’s a disservice he’s lasted this long.

Leafs were getting killed last night so I flipped to the football game for background noise while I set up my kids Christmas present (PS5). Saw it was 42-0 and just started laughing. Prime time football delivers again.
Funniest part is the Leafs came back and tied the game. Down 5-0 going into the 3rd and they forced overtime and I missed the whole thing. Then they lost anyway. Leafs!
PS5 is fuckin sweet though.
Go Bills!

Chargers got to figure out how they’re going to build around Herbert. If they land Belicheck, they automatically become contenders by his name value but man. Keenan’s old. Ekelers old. Their secondary is trash. Quentin Johnston doesn’t seem to be it and his mom quit her job. Is Khalil still under contract next season? What a waste of a great season by him. Big nose Bosa always hurt. I don’t know what they’re going to do but I just don’t see it being a quick fix. You still got Mahomes in your division. Sean Payton, hate him or not, has the Broncos looking a lot better recently. This organization might waste Herbert’s career.

Taking Quentin Johnson over Zay Flowers, and Jordan Addison was a fire worthy offense by Telesco. Addison is another one of those cases of "Don't take the combine so seriously, enough to ignore the tape".
He got Herbert for the franchise but that final 1st round draft pick may be the one that haunted Telesco the most who is gone.

I am starting to believe that I can't watch my favorite teams play sports. When I do, they lose. If I turn on the game. They lose. If I don't, they win. Today, I tried to watch my Colts. They were down 13-0. I went to the bathroom and dropped my phone in the toilet while trying to watch them play. I had to put my phone in a bag of rice and missed the rest of the game. They won. Phone survived and I hadn't started using the bathroom yet so it was (mostly) clean water.

Interesting looking back at 22 years of Texans vs Titans now on the eve of what has to be the biggest game of the series. This will be the 44th game between the 2 teams, Tennessee leads the all time series 23-19 going into tomorrow's game. Tennessee dominated the Texans early years, going 10-2 vs Houston from 2002 to 2007, then the series was split 4-4 from 2008 to 2011 then Houston dominated the series going 9-3 from 2012 to 2017. Tennessee has retaken the series going 6-4 vs Houston over the last 6 years. I know it was such a huge deal when the Texans beat the Cowboys in their inaugural game in 2002, but honestly the bigger deal to me that I was looking forward to was the first game against Tennessee that year. To beat the Titans in that first game to me meant more than to beat the Cowboys. We played them for the first time in the 9th game of the 2002 season, we were 2-6 they were 4-4 in a year when they made it to the AFC Championship(got blown out by the Raiders). It was a close game, Tennessee took a 17-3 lead in the 4th quarter but Houston fought back to close it to 17-10. Texans got the ball back with a chance to tie it but couldn't get it done in the final minute. The game was in Tennessee and I wanted Houston to win that one bad, it would have been the sweetest to take them down in their beloved new home that they left us for. What was the biggest Texans game of our first season to me just didn't really seem like a big deal at all to the NFL in general, which would become the common theme of this whole rivalry over the next 22 years. The rematch later in Houston was the final game of the 2002 season and set the record for biggest crowd our first year, attendance cracked over 70,000 for I believe the first time. It was something I noticed years ago writing my Diary Of A Mad Texans Fan that all of the Texans biggest crowds up until that first playoff game in 2011 were all Titans games. Tennesse would take the first game in Houston 13-3. The Titans contributed 7 of the sacks that helped David Carr break the record for most times sacked that year. They got after him in both games, Jevon Kearse was still really good that year. In 2003 things got ugly with the 38-17 beating in Tennessee early that year. The rematch in Houston later in the 2003 season may be my personal favorite game out of all 43 these two have played. This game in Houston broke the record from the previous year for biggest crowd in Houston up to that point. Tennessee was really good that year with a strong playoff push and Mcnair winning co-MVP with Manning. This game was such a fight, Houston was way outmatched but had it won at 24-20 with under 2 minutes left. Titans needed a touchdown and had struggled against our defense all day but Mcnair iced it with a huge clutch touchdown with no time left to win it 27-24, I was heartbroken. I went from the euphoric high of thinking we had our first win over the Titans only to have it ripped away in the final seconds. Absolutely brutal, but really a great great game. Mcnair and Eddie George and one of the best teams Tennessee ever had and we took them on, great game. 2004 was the year it finally happened. We beat them 20-10 in Tennessee that year and then whooped their ass 31-21 in Houston later in the year to complete the sweep. The Houston game the Texans came back from a 21-3 deficit, Andre Johnson caught the key touchdown catch with a bobbling one hand catch with a Titans defender all over him to put us up 24-21, then a long Dominick Davis touchdown run iced it 31-21. One of my favorite NFL games ever and Andre being the guy to get it done is one of the reasons why he is the ultimate Texan to me over JJ Watt, he was there to beat the Titans for the first time. Titans doubled down after that and dominated from there, sweep in 2005. It got interesting when Tennessee drafted Vince Young in 2006. Stories I've heard from back then was that Jeff Fischer Titans coach didn't want to draft him wanted somebody else, but was forced by owner Bud Adams to take him because of some kind of weird Houston-related motives going on with the pick since Young was from Houston. Young went 2-0 vs the Texans his rookie season 2006, including his amazing 39 yard walk off game winning touchdown run in overtime in his hometown Houston. The 2007 game in Houston ranks up there as one of the most memorable of the series, to me it is the stand out game that I always remember from that 2007 Texans season(which was fairly forgettable). Our current head coach Demeco Ryans had a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the first quarter to put us up 7-3. From there it was all Titans, they took a 32-7 lead going into the 4th quarter! Then Sage Rosenfels came so fucking close to pulling off the BIGGEST comeback in NFL history that day, I could not believe it. Rosenfels threw 4 touchdowns in the 4th quarter, the last one put us up 36-35 with just seconds left on the clock. Tennessee managed to get down into field goal range and Rob Bironas kicked his 8th field goal of the day with no time left to give the Titans the win 38-36, just another heart crusher, had they been able to hold on it would have broke the record for largest regular season comeback in NFL history. In 2008 the Titans gave us the first of 4 losses after we were displaced by that hurricane that fucked our stadium up. Tennessee won 31-12 but we got payback once we got going later that year. Titans were 12-1 coming into that game, Houston was 6-7 and we pulled off the big upset with Andre Johnson having over 200 yards receiving(he led the NFL that year) with the lone touchdown in a 13-12 win. 2009 was a great year where the series really started to feel like a rivalry. The 2008 games started to get heated but the 2009 games felt different. The first game that year in Tennessee has to rank high up there as one of the best these two ever played against each other. It was an explosive offensive duel between the 2 best players that year, Andre led the NFL in receiving and catches again that year, while Titans rusher Chris Johnson had 2,000 yards rushing season. They both balled out in that game. Andre had 2 touchdowns including a 72 yard catch that put Houston up 21-14 in the first half. Johnson had 3 long touchdown runs, 57 yards, 69 yards, and a 91 yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter that put Tennessee up 31-24. Schaub to Owen Daniels tied the game to put it into OT where Houston won it 34-31. The rematch later that year on Monday night football in Houston was a beautiful game. Vince Young was suddenly back in the lineup and showed out again in his hometown with some big runs to give the Titans the 20-17 win in overtime. The Texans vs Titans games got chippy with a lot of fights in 2009, these two teams really didn't like each other. It's a shame neither team was that good because these games in 2009-2010 would have been even more tense had there actually been something on the line like a division title or playoff spot. The 2009 season was the 50th anniversary of the AFL so the Titans broke out the Oilers throwbacks for the first time that preseason. I think they also wore them against the Patriots that year in the game where they got beat 59-0. I was not a fan of them bringing the Oilers uniforms back at all that year. After Bud Adams and the Titans officially retired the Oilers I feel like there should have been some type of hearing or vote for them to be able to wear them again. In 2010 the rivalry boiled over as this was the year we got the Andre Johnson vs Finnegan fight that seems to be the thing about Dre's career people remember the most. That skirmish had been building up to that point since 2008. The teams would split the games in 2010 and again in 2011. After the Titans beat Houston in the end of the 2011 season they led the series 14-6 up to that point. Another Houston connection is that the Titans promoted Mike Munchak to head coach for the 2011 season. Munchak was an all time great Houston Oiler offensive lineman during the glory days retired after the 93 season and never played for the Titans. 2012 Texans swept Tennessee for the first time since 2004 with 2 dominant wins that were part of a great 12-4 season. The week 2 game of the 2013 season is another one of my all time favorites because it was just days after I lost my little sister, after a few days of chaos and breaking down to sit down and watch the Texans beat the Titans was big for my mental health that week, something that helped bring me back down to earth. I'll never forget Andre Johnson catching the game winning touchdown and getting knocked out with a hit but still holding onto the football to win the game. That win put Houston at 2-0 and they lost all 14 the rest of the season to finish 2-14, what a fucking disaster 2013 was all the way around. Texans and Titans fired their head coaches both Gary Kubiak and Mike Munchak after the end of the 2013 season. 2014 JJ Watt Uber-Watt MVP Watt feasted on the 2-14 Titans that year, 30-16 win in a game where Watt had 2 sacks, 1 batted down pass, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 quarterback hits and a forced fumble. The rematch 45-21 Texans win Ryan Fitzpatrick had 6 touchdown passes, JJ Watt caught a touchdown pass on offense then had 2 sacks, 6 quarterback hits, 1 tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. 2015 was about the same, Houston swept Tennessee with combined score of 54-12 in the two wins. It was the 2016 Brock Osweiler season where the Titans signed the all time greatest Texan Andre Johnson. Truly a heartbreaking moment to see Andre in those uniforms in that game playing against Houston. Brock threw 2 scores and 254 yards(2 interceptions). Andre caught 3 passes for 33 yards for the Titans. A Will Fuller punt return for a touchdown would win it for Houston 27-20 in a game I also remember him picking up a huge block on Brian Orakpo(almost twice his size) on a critical first down run earlier in the game. The Titans win in the rematch at the end of the 2016 season would snap a 5 game win streak in the series for Houston(it was a meaningless game for them since they already had playoff spot locked down). The 57-14 beating the Texans laid down on the Titans early in the 2017 season was my favorite lopsided beatdown in the 22 year series between these two teams. Texans rookie Deshawn Watson had a breakout game with 4 passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown and was getting mentioned in the same breath as Gale Sayers all day. Andre Hal had 2 big interceptions that set the tone for that beat down that I'll always remember him for. Of course Watson would end up lost for the season shortly after that game and Tennessee would win the rematch beating Tom Savage led Texans. The two teams split the series in 2018 and 2019 the prime Watson years then they played 2 excellent games in 2020 both won by the Titans. It made my heart smile to see the boys show up and beat the Titans in 21 and 22 even though they were terrible those years, two big wins over good Titans teams led by Mike Vrable that spun off of the bullshit Bill O'Brien coaching tenure where he purposely trashed the Texans for him on the way out. Always will appreciate that from Culley and Lovie that they brought in those games to get those wins. Today it's the big one though. We got Oilers uniforms on this bullshit sellout franchise that threw this stuff in the trash 25 years ago. On the 30 year anniversary of the 1993 Oilers a team near and dear to my heart, the 30 year anniversary of the Christmas where we got Oilers Warren Moon helmet/uniform that came with the pants. I'm channeling all those great heroic moments from the past in this series, Andre's bobbling game winning catch in 04, his one handed grab in the 09 win, the Finnegan beat down, JJ Watt completely raping them in 2014, Fuller's punt return in 2016, Andre Hal 2 picks in 2017, Lamar Miller 97 yard touchdown run in 2018, Davis Mills touchdown throw last year, channeling it all into a manifestation of a Texans win over this bullshit team, lets fucking go.

It's time for Houston legend Case Keenum to earn his Texans uni and stand up and defend the city vs Will Levis. I wasn't impressed with HOU at all last week so I took the Titans this week in a pure Hopkins revenge game but it's any given Sunday.
Aaron Rodgers on the verge of being cleared means he's going to spank the Washington defense next week, again I have a huge decision to make next week for our keeper league playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers on the verge of being cleared means he's going to spank the Washington defense next week, again I have a huge decision to make next week for our keeper league playoffs. Keenum went 0-8 on that 2013 team but I liked him and didn't feel like he was the problem on that 2-14 team that year. I thought it was time to move on from Schaub, Keenum & Yates would have been fine in 2014-2015-2016 instead of the shit parade they bombed the team over those years, ride with Keenum & Yates and build the rest of the offense then take Mahomes in 2017 and the Texans would have taken Texas my friend, Cowboys would have been an afterthought outside of Dallas. Everybody here loves the Chiefs, he played high school ball at Whitehouse or White Oak I forget but both towns are nearby about 45 minutes away, roughly 2 hours out from Dallas. Honestly I'd say the safe bet would be to bench Stroud for the rest of the season. We've already given him a pretty nasty concussion his a growing baby boy still his brain is still developing so trotting him back out there with this injured team to take a beating is not smart. Boxers get knocked out you have to take months off by rule of commission. Did Payton Manning get kayo'd his rookie year?
