I had a bad feeling about this Browns game just like the Jets game. This was the type of game why I can't get excited about being a 6 or 7 seed in the playoffs it's just a big chance of somebody getting injured in a way that effects next season. Good lord look at the 1993 stats for Keenum today, plus the Dolphins beat the Cowboys on a FG and Lions won their division it doesn't get much more 1993 than that, homages abound, love it.

Also got to drag that dead horse back out one more time we played the Browns today, a game between the 2 youngest baby teams in the league, the final 2 expansion teams with Cleveland in 1999 and Houston in 2002, two cities that lost their teams in 95-96 then were held to totally different standards when they got teams back in 99-02.

The Cleveland Browns of today's NFL despite wearing the uniforms and being called The Browns have about as much relation to Cleveland Browns lineage as the Texans do the Oilers, they were an expansion team in 1999, they could have just as easily been called something else and had new colors and started from scratch the same way the Texans did. There was no relation from the 1999 expansion team to the original Cleveland Browns that moved to Baltimore to become the Ravens. 

the Baltimore Ravens are the team that has that true Browns lineage going back to the 1946 AAFC(the exact same way today's Tennessee Titans have that Oilers lineage that goes back to 1960 AFL inaugural season), but yet while I got gremlins and trolls from Tennessee kids online telling me the Oilers are the Titans and that's the bottom line here we have the 1999 expansion team that started from scratch has claim to Paul Brown, Jim Brown, Otto Graham, all those AAFC Championships, the 1950's and 64 NFL title banners, team records, etc. All of this because they had better lawyers, shit on the fans of Houston.

It was around the same time that the agreement was made for Cleveland to get the Browns back that the Oilers were "retired" by the NFL so Houston couldn't get them back. It's just the icing on the cake of the whole scenario that drives me mad, looking over here at this 1999 expansion team and all they got that we were denied of but it's like it's ok. I think all of this has always been a big element in my fanhood of the Texans though, it made me like them even more and it always put that extra meaning in those Titans games made it that much sweeter to take them down. 

The Texans actually had more connection to the Oilers than the 1999 expansion Browns did to the OG Browns since we at least had Gary Walker defensive lineman that played final 2 seasons in the Astrodome with the Oilers. Walker played in the final game ever in the Astrodome in 96, then was part of the expansion Texans team that played in the first game ever at NRG Stadium, he was in on that safety in the win over Dallas in the first game in 2002. He was the Texans first pro bowler that season. I'm pretty sure none of the original Browns played for that expansion team in 99 they were all busy getting ready to win a Super Bowl the next season in Baltimore.

It would not have mattered, Purdy picked the worst time to throw 4 INT's. I would have done that deal if I wasn't against the BYE for some of my RBs at the time you asked as I told you.

Congrats, I still think I have the best team of the league and that 1 off week doesn't offset a 12-3 record but it always happens vs you in the playoffs. Now please win this whole thing, otherwise HR is gonna brag so damn bad winning this league back to back times.

I’ll try my best obviously it’ll be harder without my original QB stack of Burrow/Herbert. As of now, I can’t trust Mullens because I feel he could be benched at any moment so I’m going to have to go elsewhere. Love/Minshew/Browning. We’ll see.

As for my main league, for the 4th time in 5 years, I have lost in the semi finals. I am absolutely devastated. I had Sun God, Bijan, Fields and Tucker all go off for me but was wrecked by DJ Moore, K9 and Kincaid all shitting the bed. I’m more concerned about his future, my favorite Packer player right now and it’s been a really fucking weird year for him and the Packers.

Less concerned about JJ , Joe Barry is calling the defense - we could throw the 2000 Ravens out there and we giving up 30.
