I’ll do one better and tag him in here and then you’ll have to deal with the both of us. 49ers lost because Brock Purdy has sleep apnea. That explain everything!

USA Today make a very bold prediction that Jets will win the Super Bowl over the Packers Blindy don’t blame me this time if things goes south for the Jets this season again 😂😒  "SUPER BOWL?!?! DONT TALK ABOUT SUPER BOWL? SUPER BOWL? YOU KIDDIN ME I JUST HOPE WE CAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!" Reddick has 6 days of grace period that he's earned for rocking out the Samurai Champloo OST in his visit in Japan as a feudal foreigner before I have to shit on him. Tick-Tock.

It is very Jets to trade for a guy who is available because of contract issues and then have him hold out because of contract issues.
GM Rodgers too busy trying to rename the team to the New Jersey Jets.

Especially when you had a homegrown talent who while might be unproven as a run stopper, put up stupid good pressure rates who you didn't sign and let him go........................................to the team that was trying to get rid of Reddick.

I have to say Aaron Rodgers is unlikeable as fuck.
Michael Gallup retired today making his Raiders stay short and sweet. Kenyan “the fantasy legend” Drake retired the other day. All the guys we grew up watching had their sons drafted into the NFL recently. Time flies.

I am rooting for Becton but he does this every year. Come out of shape and then process to vomit or hurt himself mid game. It's why he could not be relied upon nor was he brought back. Shame because his rookie year was amazing, arguably the best of that tackle class besides maybe Wills in Year 1. He just lost nearly 2 seasons due to injury and just bombed in year 4 where he was absolute ass at LT and got blown off by anyone with any kind of speed/burst off snap. Watching him vs Myles Garrett was humiliationing.
The fact that he refused to want to play G here but is willing to do it in Philly is lame but reeks of desperation to stick in the league.

it begins:
Terrible on someone setting up a 7th round rookie safety to go out and be on camera doing this stuff. Taylor single handedly set up the rest of his Raiders secondary this year to get destroyed.

Tua and Love both getting big paydays based off of limited amount of starts is crazy. Good for them though and I guess in MIA/GB's cases, they are cashing in before they inflate their price even more.

Love has also been in Green Bay for years and they clearly have faith in him as do I. He was a Top 5 QB last year and got paid like it. The numbers mean nothing , yes it’s a lot but it’s also just a price you have to pay this day and age.

I was almost spot on with my predictions from a couple of pages back. I think it is so weird that everyone gets up in arms every time a new QB contract is signed, you'd think people would understand how the market works by now. This has been going on since the Flacco/Eli era.

This has been going on since the Flacco/Eli era. Flaccos was a little different but otherwise I agree. The numbers mean next to nothing and less than nothing with the rising cap numbers every year. And the way Loves deal is structured it’s really a 5 year deal with his current year remaining dropping the average to like 47 annually and then the Packers added a void year so it’s even less than that. At most his cap hit should take up 10-12% of the cap any given year which is palatable.

I’m intrigued to see if guys like Love, Stroud and Richardson were 1 hit wonders like RG3 or if they remain the real deal this season. I think all 3 are set up very well to succeed but you never know. Who would’ve predicted the fall off by Herbert and T Law last season?

Set up well to succeed by having the youngest offense ever surrounding him? I don’t get that argument. There literally wasn’t a receiver with over two years of experience.

I’m saying going into this next season but I see your point. I don’t know why I can’t crown Love yet, but I have such an easy time crowning Stroud. What do you think separates Love from Stroud? I’d love to hear your opinion on it.

I wonder if Love is actually in a better position with his recievers than Stroud this season, because it's the same group and they seem to have a great camaraderie. Everyone froths over the big name acquisition but it's possible that Diggs actually upsets the balance in Houston rather than being a force multiplier, a bit like Calvin Ridley was with Lawrence and Jacksonville.

I’d also say no one gave Stroud a chance with the unknown weapons and line he had and he crushed it. The common denominator is both these guys raised the play of their offense - their offense didn’t cause them to succeed.
As for what differentiates them - I think Love is a little more volatile while Stroud is brilliant playing within structure. I also think they both have a chance to be brilliant this year.

What bugs me about the narrative that the offense helped love last year is going into the season no one gave him a chance because of his supporting cast and now they give him no credit.
I love our receivers and love they are all growing together with Love and think HR has a great point but we can’t just change the narrative to fit what preconceived conclusions.

I know you're talking about the wider football cognoscenti *pregnant pause* but check the tapes! I remember having a conversation with you around this time last season when I said I thought it was dumb that people thought Love would struggle because he was obviously different from a regular "rookie", and that it was a huge overcorrection that the Packers were fourth favourite in the division.

That reminds me, I’ve given Greggs new pod a shot and I don’t know if I can do it. It’s got some solid segments but far too much Claybon. Still better than Ringers though with Steve Ruiz who is the dumbest man on the planet and the beginning of “Love can’t succeed with those weapons” *Love succeeds* “Well Love succeeded because of his weapons” I do like The Athletic though even if Mays can get a little too smarmy and geekier than thou about everything. PFF is solid too. Oh and Mina. Seriously though between Nora and Ruiz - Ringer weirdly has the worst show out there.

I tend to listen to fantasy football podcasts more than anything. FantasyPros gets the most promotion on YouTube and TikTok, but they’re probably one of my least trustworthy places to listen to. I prefer FantasyFootballers and anything Matt Harmon is on.

The NFL top 100 players voted list of best players in the NFL is always a riot but man Sauce Gardner at 38 and Daron Bland at 30 proves these players are more wowed by the interceptions/playmaking over the actual coverage of a player.
Quincy Williams is the highest rated Jet on this list at 32! If you told me heading into last year that he would be our top rated player by his fellow peers I would have laughed at your face. He beat out Quinnen by 5 spots.

I've listened to most episodes, it has been pretty much exactly what I expected, some interesting parts but overall just a far inferior experience to ATN. Did you listen to the trending schemes episode with Jourdan and Nate? I thought that was particularly good - that tactical analysis is the "football nerd" stuff I like, not heaps of obscure created stats to try and prove a point. I will start picking and choosing episodes based on the guests when Dan and Marc's show starts which sounds like it might be next week!

Keon Coleman had the "Crazy Bills WR that you want to love" going for him, which included him asking what kind of signature should he sign his rookie contract with, an autograph one or a normal one but this, this RT is the winner: x.com/danfetes/status/1817930518861680783

@admin we doing anything with kickoff/punt return points in fantasy with the new rule change? It’s going to give players extra opportunities to score if they return kicks for their team. It might make the position more valuable, maybe too valuable, but I still think it’s just another reason to draft smarter/better. Adds a new element to the game of fantasy. What you think?
