It's a cliché to say an older wrestler is the best they've ever been, but in Adam Copeland's case, it's true, at least for me. That match with Garcia was brilliance right from the opening forearm strike to...the run in finish. Copeland is gritty, he hits hard, and the way he heeled it up with the fans was glorious. I've not been consistently entertained by Edge more than I have in AEW.
What was up with the finish to Willow Nightingale vs Skye Blue? Heel is beating the face clean, the face's manager distracts the referee allowing the face to beat the heel.

Darby just reminds me so much of every single punk rock asshole I ever met. I will never be able to get behind him. Like I expect him to start on a rant about how the Exploited here at the peak of punk rock then smash a beer can on his head.
I'm the opposite. Darby is my favorite male wrestler in AEW history.

I think that was the plan originally, but may not be now. Think Edge is having a lot of fun working the young guys and taking a lot more matches than planned. Not so sure he just walks after the Christian feud wraps up. I suspect he goes part time or something in the future but sticks around for a while.
My issue is they are dragging out this Christian story way too long. The only reason I can see it being this long is that it's Copeland's last hurrah.
This issue is renting space in my head and I want to talk about it more.
The booking is so simple. Christian beats Copeland in the first match, Copeland gets the return match in Canada. Copeland beats Christian exactly as he did. No bullshit swerve afterwards. Copeland is the TNT champion. Have Killswitch turn on Christian around this time (not necessarily at the show) because that's been dragged out even longer.
Copeland does his open challenge as a champion instead of a somewhat convoluted angle of doing an open challenge to earn another championship shot. He has the same matches against the same people with the higher stakes of the TNT championship. Christian can weasel his way into a rematch later if they want a blowoff match.
