Yes, one of the first ever ECW tapes I finally got seeing the commercials on there for the tape of Dreamer and Brian Lee fighting above the ring full of tables on a fucking scaffold that looks like it was built by my uncle Rick and Randy in this dark little arena, talk about setting the fucking vibe

There was an ECW table spot in 96 with I believe Brian Lee choke slamming Pitbull 2 off the equipment truck through 2 or 3 tables, pretty glorious spot that I noted in my reviews bitd that it’s odd the clip was rarely/never replayed or shown in any clips, just a 5 star table spot that happened one week on HCTV and was just another day at the office for ECW. This is my fucking brother for life

It would take up like the full hour long session to watch two or three 7 second clips like that with all the loading and constant crashing. We went from that in 1999 to now we can watch movies in 4k on the internet, crazy

Listen to the sound of those tables breaking, the metal pieces clanking together on impact along with the crunch of the wood breaking, and think this was 1996 think about what was going on in WCW and WWF when this table spot happened, how far ahead of it's time this table spot was. And how lost in the shuffle it was, I had never seen this spot until we did AHT a decade ago. It wasn't on a PPV or anything big just a random show(where was this? That doesn't look like ECW Arena?) so it never lived on in a commercial tape ad, it was like they forgot it happened?

Jesus I've watched it like 30 times now haha! Glorious, love it.
As a carpenter that has built big houses and had to work up that high off the ground, it can get a little scary, so look at the drop this guy took, and how they pulled that off so smoothly without any apparent injuries is pretty impressive. These guys were underrated stunt men, wrestlers/fans use that as a negative but as a big action movie fan being a great stunt man is an artform all in of itself, yeah this was a great spot. Love it.

Just a random TV taping in front of 700 people. A spectacular spot lost to time.

Was this not the same venue where Austin kind of made his ECW debut a year earlier?, still rocking Hogan hair, crashing the Sandman vs Mikey match with one of his first live promos in front of a crowd, always thought he was so visceral in that scene he was cussing a lot more than he would later and seemed really jacked intense.

Same town, but different venue, so impressive memory flex! That was: ECW @ Middletown, NY – Sportland Cafe – September 23, 1995 (800) Which was such a cool looking venue that I don't think they ever went back to.

Damn those shots look good! This is the Re-C-Dub remaster? Yes! It's really well done. The transitions from the WWE HD footage to the old rips (which happen more than just splicing in ECW Ads and such) seamlessly dissolve from HD to 480P so it's not jarring. A lot of care was clearly taken. Honestly, as much nostalgia as I have for VHS, I've quickly become appreciative of seeing images in better quality than some of those poor 1995 rips that we've been putting up with for 15 years. I've also become very impressed with the camera work in ECW. Like Paul E. had some rag tag group of guys doing production and so many of the compositions are cinematic and more thoughtful than what WWF/WCW were doing at the same time. The ECW production crew needs more shoutouts for being as good as they were.

After Austin burried the place so hard in his promo who could blame them for never going back haha. This place is a complete shithole! I'm fucking horrified to even be here! World Championship Wrestling wouldn't take a shit in this place much less book a god damn wrasslin match in it!

The first ever table bump I ever saw was the infamous Nitro where the dream team of Goldberg/Sting teamed up and lost! It was a DQ loss, but still I was distraught and logged onto any Geocities or Angelfire website that was happy to call it a No Contest. Regardless during the fraccas Hogan made his way to the ring, only to be powerbombed through the announce desk by Kevin Nash.
Now, I wasn't shocked because a man just got slammed so hard they broke a table, no even as a newcomer I was just shocked Hollywood Hogan was actually willing to take that big a bump.
My sweet Nana was in the room while all this was going on, turned to my Pop and hit him with a...
And I was never allowed to live it down.
