Same basic principle is why I buried my thoughts on last night's boring ass Smackdown in the Match Review thread that only 3 or 4 people, none of them fans of modern wrestling, ever read. I didn't want to hurt any feelings. The WWF kid in me does, on some level, still enjoy seeing people get excited about my longtime love. I basically didn't want to be the guy to tell them Santa isn't real. Now back to whales and stuff.

Hot take: it's actually better it ended up this way because Rock hasn't wrestled in forever, may not have the gas tank for an extended singles match (and who knows if his giant muscles are gonna pop off his tendons) and a tag match is the best way to hide all of that
