The sun is shining and Wrestlemania season is behind us, and the future of professional wrestling looks bigger and brighter than ever. However the IWC is in shambles and tribalism and negativity is at an all-time high. Which is why I have decided to run the Fan Fiction Draft a little early this year and add insults and competition to the mix! positivity and friendship to the mix!

Hopefully we can capitalize on the influx of activity on the boards and get 12-16 people this year. It would be nice to have a big draft like old times. I'm sure we can take breaks between arguing about ratings to post some picks.

You all know the drill. Draft 20 people, living or dead, as long as they were employed by a wrestling company or competed in a match. Snake draft, 24 hours to pick, after 10 rounds we double up to speed up the process. Tag the person that picks after you so they know they are up.

I'm not doing write-ups this year. I'm making a card out of my roster and leaving it at that. 

Does that put me at a disadvantage? Sure, but that's the way she goes. I'm just gonna try and build the most interesting card I can and hope it speaks for itself.

KING KID can't defend a title I took from him last year, IWC negativity is the lowest it's been in 20 years, and RT would have been reduced to a quivering wreck after being overcome with the vapors had he spent 5 minutes online during the Monday Night War.

Same here I’m all in on Best Of The Best 96 about to crank back up, so this will just be card only but still aiming to win!

I've also been reading Roy Shire's book lately and am tempted to draft folks from that era which is also an automatic first round out.

pduh is the definition of AI posting.

We should take the draft histories of two FF legends and run them through AI and see how well it drafts for some guys like KJ or PI.

I’ve beat pi in a draft before. Now I want to beat pAI.

RT needs to get off his arse and start this thing already.

Alright 10 can work. Sorry work was busy but I am off now and will get this started.

I have an idea for the tournament this time and I think it’s good, but tell me what you think.

We do two groups of 5 in a round robin. After the draft everyone submits their cards, and that is your card for the round robin portion. You don’t need to make a new card for every match, just submit your best effort and hope you stack up against the other 4 people in your group.

Voting for each match will be open for a couple days. The top two from each group of 5 will face off in the semi-finals. There will be steals after the round robin I just need to figure out how it will work. Maybe the 1 seed steals first, then the 2 seed, etc.

Semi-finals and Finals would work the same. Might even do something fun with the 6 eliminations as well.

This gives everyone a fighting chance in the first round and you don’t sit out immediately after a long draft if you lose your first match. With fewer people it sucks when you do a draft that takes like 6 weeks, work your ass off on a card, then by luck of the draw you face someone with a stronger card and you’re done immediately.

Anyway I think this will be fun but if anyone has any objections or concerns let me know ASAP.

EDIT: I will get the draft started either way while we discuss this. Can get that rolling while we figure it out. We got time.
