They’re going to get Osprey the belt in advance of Wembley.

Not so sold. They could be going Hanger vs Swerve for Wembley and give Will to someone else, maybe Okada or ZSJ.

Swerve has massive crossover appeal that Will does not have, be stupid to take the belt from him so soon.  For Okada, they could unify two redundant belts.

Will eating a title loss is a bigger mistake in my opinion.

I love Swerve. He’s not a cross-over star. Maybe he can be, but he ain’t now.

Maybe Don Callis screws Will out of the title in this one. A way of kicking him out of the family.

Swerve drops the title on his second real defense making him the person to hold the title for the least amount of time there will be a backlash.  Real bad look making your first black champ appear the weakest to put a second belt on Will.

Yeah, I like this suggestion and as long as the opponent is good enough (Zack Sabre Jr is a good shout) the fans won't mind and it just adds to Ospreay's eventual ascension. Just look at Cody and how much Wrestlemania XXXIX did for his career in the long run. The feud with Brock only strengthened his case, whereas before the fans weren't 100% completely behind him.

I've only caught the odd wrestling show since Mania, so apologies if I'm horribly out of the loop, but Hangman/Swerve seems like the obvious direction. It's a good way to continue that feud and help establish both guys as stars of the company to put them on that pedastal. If that can't be arranged, then MJF/Swerve is as good an alternate as any. You can always bank on MJF to deliver on the big show.

Personally, I'd love to hold MJF back and have him feud with the EVPs.

I haven't caught Dynamite yet, but I love that they're pushing Swerve/Ospreay right now. Swerve got his big babyface win over Christian, we don't need another filler PPV, let's cut to the chase and drum up some hype before All In.

Could also give Will Jay White as they been amazing when matched in the past. Will vs MJF also would likely be great.

That would be a small minority of chirping. And anyone who brings race into that choice would be looking to be offended.

Either that or Swerve gets a major defence by handing Ospreay his first loss in AEW, then they run it back at Wembley and he gets the win there.

Regardless I am interested to see how this plays out. I did not expect Ospreay to win last night at all.

Edit: Strickland/Ospreay will be a banger of a match as well.

Unless my thought of Callis screwing Ospreay out of the title occurs.  Then Will has no option but to enter The Owen, win the tournament, and earn that spot at All In.
