Lots of matches that matter, namely the Owen Hart Cup, showcasing the best in AEW battling. Willow vs Kris was a real highlight. Danielson vs PAC was good too but they're capable of far better.
Britt Baker's return promo was great. Liked the past/present/future structure. Between her promo and Serena Deeb's recent promo about her real life health issues, it made me think that is it really a good idea to air these things in a wrestling promo? Britt seems to think so. I suppose she felt she owed the fans an explanation, which is fair. Loved the jab at Mercedes' gimmick, and she's instantly proven right when Mercedes comes out, the fans chant CEO - apparently in support of her - before booing her the moment she speaks. Fans will latch onto any easy chant won't they? Moné and Baker know this, but as Baker pointed out, her three letters are legitimate.
Hangman's return was awesome, both the Jarrett match and the segment with the Bucks. I'm intrigued to see where they go with his character. RT needs to turn heel and change his avatar. The bad news is that Jay White is certainly losing in the semifinals, on the flipside a Hangman/Danielson final with a potential Hangman/Swerve at Wembley is mouth-watering.
Surprisingly, Don Callis didn't get involved in Ospreay vs Garcia. It's only a matter of time before Ospreay gets jumped by Takeshita and Hobbs.
Good match with an aftermath I was foolish not to expect. I had bought into MJF's good guy gimmick, a brutal beatdown to close the show. Interesting way to set up MJF/Ospreay.
