Although, I've predicted Cody ( now returning a favour ) and being part of the Reigns led faction vs The Rogue Bloodline at War Games... we have to remember, Sami is a " blood " brother kayfabe wise.
I'd you're wanting cinema and emotion and a build for the ages - Sami Zayn is that man.
Maybe just maybe Jimmy returns to help Reigns. Yet, they're still getting this ass kicked.
A few weeks later Jey coming to their aid solidifies their place as true babyfaces but they're still unable to fight off the odds.
A week or so later, Jey says to Jimmy that he knows a guy. Jimmy instinctly looks at Roman for his guidance but Reigns tells him, that ship had sailed Uce. Heyman steps into frame to a massive pop, and with tears in his eyes he says, " not necessarily... my Tribal Chief " as Reigns and Heyman hug, Jey ruins the moment... YEEEEEET! As The Usos do Sami's handshake.
They go to RAW the following week and invite Sami to the ring. He no-sells the shit out of Reigns' humble acknowledgement of his crimes against humanity and as Reigns goes to leave having not convinced Sami, Sami says - if he does this, there's no more OG. No more Rogue Bloodline. No more Tribal Chief. All of it... it's over. No more. After 4 years, it's finished. Reigns nods.
The closing segment sees The Rogue Bloodline destroy the OGs as Sami watches from the ramp, torn. He eventually walks out.
A week later it's War Games with The OGs going in 3 v 4, and when it's time, and we're at fever pitch and the babyfaces are in dire straits, Sami comes out as the 4th man to even the odds. And it's fucking fantastic. The place has exploded.
The OGs win and they're celebrating and then, it's clear. It's all over. It's a curtain call. The OGs hug in the ring as the audience is giving a standing ovation. It's emotional. Heyman comes out. He's emotional. Hunter is on the ramp. He's emotional. Cody has come out, he's watching on as Jey and Sami are his boys. And he's emotional.
And then...
IF YAAAAAAA SMEELLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?!
The Rock returns setting up Rock v Reigns for Wrestlemania.

Personally I don’t want Samoan Wrestler Spam happening. Bring back the Uso Bros when it’s time and let it ride with what we got. Zilla and Fatu are a nasty team together. They got a like powerbomb Samoan spike finisher that is nasty as fuck. Zilla also stands out since he is the smallest of them. HHH confirmed Jacob was banged up and getting checked out.

Peeps saw Jacobs in a boot after the event. No crutches, so may just have really tweaked his ankle.

Solo has been good at getting heat but once the bell rings his wrestling has been underwhelming.

Amazing show. All the angles they've been building up paid off in the best possible ways. Was a lot of it predictable? Sure. We all saw Dirty Dom turning on Rhea, and Finn turning on Priest. Reigns' return was pretty predictable. That doesn't make it any less effective. All fantastic moments and all phenomenal cliffhangers. The next Raw and Smackdown are absolute must-watches.
The match quality was outstanding too. Liv and Rhea told a great story. Priest and Gunther destroyed each other, strong style, with brilliant storytelling at the end. McIntyre and CM Punk wasn't exactly five stars in the ring but it was obviously going to be a clusterfuck and it was a wonderful one. The bracelet trading wrists throughout the match was a real highlight, as was the finish.
Sami/Breakker and Bayley/Jax were the dud matches, but I am surprised at both outcomes, especially Nia Jax winning.
Apparently Knight vs Paul was excellent but I skipped it because I don't care about either guy.
Solo vs Cody was a bit shit to be honest. As others have said, Solo is a bore. He's been completely overshadowed by Jacob Fatu, and even Tama Tonga is more interesting. Perhaps that's by design, or maybe Solo just isn't that good. He's not ready, as Cody would put it. He's not menacing or physically imposing like Roman Reigns. Nowhere near as charismatic.
Roman Reigns' return was obviously outstanding. The "OOOOOOOH AAAAAHHH" taunt is my favourite in all wrestling.

Seth should have put Punk's bracelet in his pocket but Punk being fixated on it was great storytelling.

That was a great show highlighted by three exceptional matches/moments with Punk/Seth/Drew , Gunther and Priest (easily the best he’s ever been) and of course Roman returning.

x.com/RealJackCassidy/status/1820080999067480470What a fucking loser. Guy is the biggest "Piss Break" in the WWE today and to say that to LA Knight who's pinky toe has more charisma than this vacuum of entertainment is perplexing. NATH45, This is the guy who Australians should be ashamed about, not Waller.

The same with Reed today. Just terrible.

Predictable but nearly perfect. What an excellent show. Even the guest spots were fun and I hate MGK + feel indifferent to Jellyroll (had a solid goozler of a chokeslam, though).
Liv/Rhea (what a match!) and Gunther/Priest stole the show for me. Both outcomes were easy to call but told a great story + were so much fun regardless. Knight/Paul underwhelmed me just a little by comparison but at least the outcome was right.
Loved how the entire table basically just shat on the Browns after Theory.
That closing segment had to feel good for Roman. That was a badass return. Not one forced pop in that factory of sadness. Good on them for throwing those dogs a bone.
So many title changes; this is the first SS in a while felt like a proper mini-Mania. Would of liked at least 1 tag team match in the mix but boy howdy did they deliver.

Feel like Priest in Judgment Day is sort of where HHH was in 1999/2000 with DX. It seems like he's gotten dumped on a lot, but if Twitter existed back then, I think Triple H would have, too. Very interested to see him fire up vs. Balor in the future ...

I don't know if you can compare him to Triple H in 2000. Hunter was clearly becoming one of the best in the world by 2000.. maybe he already was, the actual best in the world in 2000.
Priest doesn't have " it " in him to go to that next level, and he will likely be a good contender from here on out.

IDK. A lot of the criticism surrounding Priest has been how some Judgment Day material has been "silly" (e.g., R-Truth and Carlito), if Priest is not simply "too chill" in the face of it all. Those fans may not remember DX dragging a girl, supposedly Stephanie McMahon, into their locker room who later turned out to be 'some skank from Penn State', according to HHH, or Triple H making an incredibly dumb mockumentary about Mick Foley. A lot of what DX did was a lot sillier than Judgment Day, and HHH looked like the exact opposite of a "cerebral assassin" at those times.
People want to see Priest be serious, more or less; but his chance is coming up ...

I think this is the best Priest gets.
If you want to talk about a dramatic shift in character, maybe look at Balor potentially shifting into a more serious role. His second run in NXT a few years ago showed a more serious, vicious version of Finn Balor. That's a version we need on the main roster.

When Preist was choking Finn, I liked the intensity & fire I saw from him.
