Pulse is dreadful. I'm not anti remakes: I like the American remakes of The Ring and The Grudge, but Pulse is an insult to Kairo.

Back to back!
Killer Klowns is a ton of fun and probably the ultimate B movie. The fear some have a clowns bakes itself in but it’s one of the movies where the villains steal the show. It’s goofy and obviously doesn’t take itself seriously but it’s worth a 90 minute watch .
The Final Chapter is easily the best Friday. I’d say it’s the movie most people envision when they think of Friday in general. Jason is hulking and as intimidating as he is in any movie, the proverbial meat bags are the most likable of the series and the ending is awesome. Plus Feldman as a young Tommy Doyle is awesome.

Oh it’s the original. The original is awesome. Don’t even have to be a guilty pleasure as it’s just a good 90s horror movie.

Ghost Ship came out in the early 2000s.
Either way - great opening scene but completely lackluster rest of the movie.

I didn’t actually realise that Mike Flanagan was connected to this movie but it makes a lot of sense thinking about it. This was surprisingly a really good movie, my expectations were a bit low watching it initially but I really enjoyed it

One of my favourite movies, there is scenes in this movie that genuinely scared me as a child, not only the typical jump scares but even the way some characters are mentally tortured. I haven’t watched the original, so I probably should one day but I have always loved this one. Also it introduced me to Marilyn Manson and I immediately fell in love with his music so another brilliant reason to enjoy it

After watching the original House On Haunted Hill you realize how this remake takes a pretty big shit on the original, kind of like it's own version of what Rob Zombie Halloween is to the original Halloween. It is such a huge product of it's time though for 1999, what a strange time for horror movies.

Re-Animator is such a wild trip. Only recently seen it for the first time finally so not one that I grew up with.
Ghost Ship will forever always be connected to that second Mudvayne album that came out around the same time in 2002. Their first album grew into such a big deal by the end of 2001 into 2002 that there was a ton of hype for the follow up that year. The lead single Not Falling was debuted in this movie and was a big reason why a lot of Mudvayne fans went to see this movie because everybody knew it was going to play in the end credits(something everybody found out about through the internet I'm assuming, just spread through word of mouth also). So going to see a movie solely for the chance to hear a brand new song from one of your favorite bands debut for the first time in the end credits, very cool concept, especially for heavy metal music(being the major selling point for people going to see a horror movie in theaters). Shame the movie wasn't better, but it was ok. Definitely brings back the 2002 nostalgia vibes even thinking about it.
