I am not sure Saleh is cool with Shanahan doing that McCaffrey bs to him. That's something you do to a fellow coach you detest. I thought an advisor to Matt LeFleur makes more sense.

There was talk of Hackett losing power as a signal caller and Todd Downing getting more leeway but it's going to be up to Rodgers.

None of this will make a difference - the Jets are fundamentally broken. The QB is in control of the roster and the coaching and so far he has delivered an offence that is no better than what they had with Zach Wilson.

Sure the situation isn't great but at some point you just have to see if the kid can play, there have been plenty of examples of a quarterback change making a terrible o-line look suddenly competent.

Todd Downing isn't much better but I hope he can at least understand offensive fundamentals in 2024 like motion on the line and play action, stuff Hackett rarely if at all ever calls. Much like with Zach last year, team does best in a 2 minute hurry option where Hackett can't get too involved. 


They should have started Maye vs Miami, much better matchup for him since they don't have much of a pass rush. Arguable he should have come in sometime in the game with how much Brissett was struggling. This seems like a crazy idea to throw him in vs the Texans.

Saleh wore the patch last year, why is it a big deal now? I don't get these people sometimes. 3+ years a HC with a 16 game difference in the W-L column is an eternity, he got a lot of chances to prove himself. 

I think they assume because Aaron Rodgers is the QB and Woody Johnson is the owner that the Jets are a full fledged right wing organization I guess. 

This is why organizations are hesitant in hiring minority coaches because if they don't succeed, then there becomes a "You're racist for firing them" belief. I heard the same when the Jets let Todd Bowles go back when there weren't many black HC in the NFL.

At the time it was considered heresay and I don't care if it's a woman or man who was saying that, a lot of Jet fans were just tired of the negativity but again it looks correct with how things played out.
