Nah Canales isn’t nearly as bad. Mayo is brutal game in and game out.

Mayo has played and coached for 1 team and under 1 guy his entire pro career, makes you wonder where he learned this from? We can agree it is a bitch thing to throw your team under the bus yet get on his mentor for being a hypocrite when he's been cold as ice throughout his time and always pushing the "Patriot Way" above all. He just wins, regardless of controversy or not so no one can say anything bad about Belichick. I just think throwing your former player/coach under the bus on the McAfee show is equally weak if not worse. That was your mic caller/LB on defense for years and a coach under you.

McDaniels/Patricia never once got roasted for his failures to connect with players by Belichick but BB isn't coaching anymore so he can be candid.

I actually like Eagle. That style of announcer appeals to me. He gives you the meat and bones with energy. Kevin Harlan is similar.

You guys complain a lot about Charles Davis but he is pretty popular, his team with Eagle are always 1 or 2 in the Awful Announcing rankings as well. By some coincidence I never watch the games he does so I don't have an opinion.

Since they moved to MNF I think the Buck/Aikman team have been the best, while Kevin Harlan is the best pure commentator. On the other side Al and Herbie on TNF are by far the worst booth, while Rich Eisen (thankfully only on the international games) is not suited to PBP at all.

I still would contend that his popularity stems from him being the voice of Madden for like a decade now.

(Seriously AI , do some good and get Maddens voice back on that game!)

He is awful. Bloated commentary with the most irrelevant tangents. Awful attempts at humor and all well adding little insight. He just refuses to let the game breathe for a second.

Agree with the Buck/Aikman being the best. Romos been way better this year too. Greg Olsen needs to be back prominently.

Eagle is fantastic, he does the Jets preseason games. I wish he'd do the Jet games every single week. Charles Davis is inept and has so many miscalls especially with review involved. He always sides with the officials when it comes to Roughing the Passer.

Aikman blows though, he is so snarky & arrogant when it comes to Jet games. I hate whenever NYJ is on MNF because Aikman feels like he's being held at gunpoint to watch them, could he be less enthusiast when it comes to their games. I know we have been a massive letdown as of late but cmon dude. Quinnen Williams even busted on him last year for misquoting him and trying to stir up a little trouble.

Buck is actually fine, he's like the Michael Cole of NFL. You get so used to his style of announcing and his comatose way about things that he's solid. Buck in the World Series though is pretty bad though, like dude show some inflection in your voice.  Still way better than Bob Costas, I feel like you have to pay me to listen to him. The Yanks/Royals series was brutal due to him. 

I like Tirico/Collinsworth the best of the national duo.

Rich Eisen on the Jets/Vikings call was fantastic, him and Warner were pretty good. I wish Eisen did PBP more actually, he really cares about the NFL as a whole and it shows. Harlan is phenomenal though I think of him more as an NBA guy than NFL as he's usually the go to guy of TNT. 

Speaking of announcer teams, 

Jets/Patriots get Archuleta and Spero Dedes and the saying among Jet fans is "Hello darkness my old friend...." We are so used to getting CBS 5th team so besides this mini obnoxious national media coverage the past 2 years, we are used to these 2. I like Dedes, he did some Knicks stuff for a bit but I forget if I Adam Archuleta or not.

Shocker Blindy hates Aikman because of some weird perceived bias and loved Eisen (a known Jets homer) despite it universally being agreed upon that he sucked.

Collinsworth is fun enough but more because he’s almost become a parody of himself, kinda of like Madden in the later years. I prefer him much more with Al though.

Well the Cards might as well call their season now, because it’s officially Call of Duty season for Kyler.

Sucks that JD5 is probably not playing this week but I'm good with it. Better to not risk long term health. Bears D is tough but I think with Mariota we still have a chance. Just gotta commit to the run game and get pressure on Caleb because our CBs are gonna get lit up by the Bears WRs.
