YouTuber Jake Paul faces heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in a professional boxing match on 15 November in Arlington, Texas.

The bout is a controversial one considering Tyson is 58 years old, but on the undercard are three world-title fights including the highly anticipated rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

Organisers are hopeful of selling 60,000 tickets at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium, which can hold 80,000 fans. The fight night is also the first boxing event to be streamed by Netflix, with Taylor and Serrano serving as the co-main event for the undisputed light-welterweight title.

It will work with normal Netflix.

What I mean is I work in a sports bar. So if this was a traditional PPV the venue just pays a public fee (about $2k) to show it.

Considering it’s just on Netflix we can’t show it as we can’t legally just use a personal Netflix account and show the fight to the public.

As a boxing fan, i'm kinda hesitant about this match. As much as I want to see Iron Mike get a KO. Lets be real, its not gonna happen. I predict that its gonna be a draw to set up for a rematch.

Tyson looked awful 15 years ago when he was losing to scrubs. I feel like I’m doing a double take on social media with people commenting on Tyson workout footage ‘look how fast he is!’ Like, what? He looks dreadful. The only way I can see him winning is if he nails a good shot someone like Paul may never have felt before. Otherwise no chance.

If this was a 12 round 5 minute per, Paul would clinch and out cardio Iron Mike to a victory but the current rules plays to Tyson's advantage of looking for a quick KO and it encourages Paul to have to get in some offense and not play for points.

I would still take Paul for sheer age(Tyson had a medical emergency a few months ago...which PPD the date back of this bout) but this still proves nothing, he's beating a 60 year old retired boxer. He has a lot to lose from this(As if the Fury bout didn't do so already) so I don't get why he wants this bout outside of living a dream of facing Tyson. And money.

I don't think the Fury fight did any damage to Paul, tbh. He's too popular and famous so even losing to a "legit boxer" didn't harm him because he wasn't knocked out. If Tyson knocks him out, then it's a different story on Pauls legacy.

I do think Tyson knocks him down, potentially out. I'm riding with Iron Mike, because you never bet against greatness.

In my fantasy I see Tyson KOing Paul in the first few minutes of the first round. But I know that's not what the hype machine is about. Still a girl can dream. In reality even if Jake Paul wins, he wins against a 60 year old Tyson. There is zero way he would have been able to stand toe to toe with him in his prime.

Last time he worried about scaring (his) kids, he bit Holyfields ear off.

Likely. Mike is being paid handsomely to play his WWF/E DX self. He'll make Paul look good and everyone (but those few petty ones-like me-who want to see Tyson hand Jake Paul his balls) will be mostly happy. Everybody wins.

I don’t think Mike Tyson knows what scripted is to be honest. I’m laughing at picturing him saying the word “scripted” with his lisp. Mike Tyson is going in for the kill.

I'd pay money to watch Tyson just slap the crap out of Jake Paul for 8 rounds. Like just humiliate and embarrass him, but I don't think that's how this is going to go. It's all a show.

Paul stepped on Tyson's foot during the stare down, IDK if it was intentional or not but that probably triggered Tyson to respond the way he did.



Prime Mike Tyson was a legend.

Betting in the UK has Paul a pretty big favourite. Most of the money is going on Tyson.

I can’t look past Paul for this fight. I remember the end of Tyson’s career, it was horrendous, and he’d only just touched his 40s. He’s now 58. The man isn’t past his prime, he’s almost a pensioner. As for his boxing experience, well sure, but Tyson didn’t have a good boxing IQ in his prime, he was raw athleticism, which is part of the reason why he aged so badly once the muscle twitch slowed down and started losing to bums.

I hope I’m wrong because it would be funny to see Paul get knocked out. But honestly social media is annoying me today with this fight. People saying it’s fixed if Paul wins and legit if Tyson wins. Like a child saying I care when I win but I don’t care when I lose. Very Trumpian.
