I’m watching AEW, and my family is genuinely upset with me.

In all seriousness this has been a pretty good episode wrestling-wise. Opener was a fun clusterfuck, women's match was solid even if there was some sloppiness during/after, Lashley squash was fun (CHEESEBURGER!) and Swerve showing why he is the most dangerous man in AEW was really cool. Now we got Darby vs Claudio and I got no complaints so far.

That was rough to watch. Darby landed so his head snapped over the edge of the table and because it didn't break he basically took all the impact on his back and neck. Fucking ridiculous. I love that little psycho but he's gonna be retired in less than 5 years if he keeps this up.

Which sucks ass because the matches tonight have been mostly great. That crowd was “Bobby Fish cuts a promo on Impact” quiet for most of the night. I didn’t think the show was very good. The matches were meh with no heat, and the promos were painful (seriously, was that O’Reilly’s first promo ever?). I also just cannot buy Mox as a tough guy. Not the tough guy he’s portraying that is. Wild hardcore man? Sure. Takes a lot of punishment tough? Yeah. Throws brutal strikes and stalks around the ring like an apex predator? No sir.

She said “god this is bad, babe.” Direct quote. She doubled down on this sentiment after the Jericho segment. At the end, she made it clear how much cooler Mox was as Ambrose. For my son, it started with being mad Cody Rhodes wasn’t on the show. He hated the Mone segment with Statlander especially. My youngest’s only moment of joy was seeing Lashley’s suit (“he looks crazy!”).
