Motherfucker. I finally had everything all set up, all my pictures picked out, my music selected, all my formatting right. I wrote out all my descriptions and was right about to send it to PI when I accidentally hit backspace and it went back to the previous page and I fuckin' lost everything. I'll send the card in tomorrow, I guess.

Damn that's brutal. You can go through your settings and turn on drafts and it will autosave your posts.

If that happened to me (KITNs situation), I would shoot myself and need to buy a new computer on Black Friday from my rage.

So I was bored and looking at Shows roster this morning , just in case I'm lucky enough to win (I won't , my card is weird) and just seeing what my options would be - and it's weird how like no one on his roster is someone I really really want. Not to say it's a bad roster , it's one of the most rounded rosters in this draft IMO and one identical to something I'd draft in most cases - but I switched it up and it may burn me.

I didn't really get any strong feedback. I'll throw it out there once more, and give everyone until this evening to chime in. Reshuffle or fixed.

If we don't get a majority responding with a choice, or if we end up with a tie, I'll make a King Solomon decree after work.

Personally, I feel like reshuffling keeps things more fair and interesting. But what do I know.

Also, start giving me an early consensus on acceptable next due date for Round 2 cards.

I like a fixed tournament bracket, I've already got some loose plans based on the bracket we got, predicting who I may be facing and what steals would be available through the next couple of rounds. I like this element of strategy coming into play, it's not there if we reshuffle every round.

Also I could be wrong but I don't believe we've ever done random draw every round of the tournament in any of the previous drafts I've been a part of. I don't really see any reason to start now.

Shin does have a point about knowing who you are facing and potentially setting up future steals and plans , I've always done that and it's nice to be able to do that. If I'm forced to vote , I'd vote fixed bracket.

Also, fuck, I think we might have a mess on our hands...

I've gone through the Round 1 threads, tallying posted votes and comparing them to the polls, and we have issues in every thread. Mostly minor, a couple of major.

In every case, the total number of posted votes don't match the total number of poll votes cast. This is the minor issue experienced across all match-ups.

Another issue is lack of/inconsistent turnout. With 16 draft participants, plus Dazz and RT considering their previous involvement, I would've thought we'd at least see 14-16 votes in every thread (depending on whether or not people abstain from voting from themselves or their opponents).

The major issues affect SM vs. pduh and jTjohncenaGOAT vs. KITN.

In the case of the former, last I checked, the poll favored SM, 7-6. However, unless I overlooked or misinterpreted something, posted votes in the thread only totaled 9 votes overall and favored pduh, 5-4.

In the case of the latter, last I checked, the poll favored Jeff, 7-5. However, unless I overlooked or misinterpreted something, posted votes in the thread only totaled 5 votes overall and favored KITN, 4-1.

This has unfortunately turned into the mess I was fearing if polls and posts didn't align. Voting is still open until RAW starts or ends, depending on the thread. As much as it feels like it'd be screwing SM and Jeff, I did make the decree that I'd only be tallying winners based on posted votes because of the reversible vote option in the polls. I encourage the group to post your votes to help account for those votes in the polls. Tag anyone you can think of. A group effort is needed here!

Meanwhile, as an FYI, I won't be posting polls with Round 2 match-ups (I can't think of any other way to avoid this confusion while also maintaining consistency moving forward).

Anyway... Post your votes! Please! I'll try to post in each thread with tags for people whose votes might be missing in posted format.

I don't think anyone changed their votes in those threads , some people probably didn't even read the fine print asking for written in vote. You made the decree though , but I do think forcing people to post in the thread (on a message board mind you) might turn some people off. Especially if they are voting on mobile and don't have time or means to get to a PC , and turning away voters could be worse. 

I didn't vote at all in the KITN/Jeff match , I abstained because I really didn't want to vote for either. KITN rosters always are the polar opposite of my tastes and there's no card and while Jeff had an interesting concept and I like his roster - it wasn't really a card. On the premise of "what show" am I going to see it makes it impossible to vote. 

In theory I would know I'd at least get to see 20 wrestlers compete for KITN , the matches just aren't advertised. I also got the interpretation I would only get to see one match if I picked Jeff's card. Typing it out confuses me all over again.

I'll own up to fucking up and not posting the decree or editing it into the opening post of every thread. Hopefully my 8 posts just now will help make up for my lack of making the decree clear and readily visible by all.

I don't for one second by that posting a vote is difficult or harder than casting a vote in a poll. The mobile skin isn't an excuse. I'm pretty much exclusively on PW via the mobile skin, and I just made my last 8 posts in here via the mobile skin... The mobile skin isn't a constraint.

I also don't buy the post-only voting option being a deterrent. Looking at the poll numbers, yes, it's s bigger turnout there, but it's not even capturing everyone who SHOULD be voting. At minimum, I would think that everyone participating in this draft should at least cast a vote out of respect for the draft and their fellow competitors. Abstaining is fine if necessary. Just post that you're abstaining. Just one word: Abstain. Don't even need to post reasoning. It's not asking too much, and I don't think it's a real reason why people would be discouraged from voting.

Again, I'll fall on the sword for this first round... I didn't realize this message board's polls allowed for reversible voting until it was too late, and I didn't clearly/consistently post my decree on the work-around in all threads. The fact that I continued up put polls up with subsequent threads, without also posting the decree, likely only led to confusion.

I've got myself and the new board's limitations to blame, in that order. Sorry to all for any confusion on your ends; I'm trying as best as I can to clean this mess up quick and do right by you all.

I'm pretty sure Round 2 will be a lot more straight forward if polls are simply excluded. However, if the majority wants polls and wants to just go by poll results next round, speak up. Please!

2) Polls results determine Round 2 winners, or no polls in Round 2

Polls or no polls is a tough one. I feel no polls is more likely to generate fewer votes than more posts, but I could be wrong. And I'm not convinced people are going to change their votes, at least not a significant amount. I believe in the integrity of PW.
