The great pain in the ass.
Here is the question that you were hoping this thread was asking... "Are you anal about things?"
Some people are chilled and some people get antsy about every damned small detail in their life.
With some things I am totally anal, if I am going to do a job, I would much rather not do it than do it half-assed (Anal is never half-assed) I never walk into a meeting or a customer without having prepped for exactly what I am going to face and every contingency I could imagine (Hence why I don't sleep a lot) However when it comes to expectations I consider arbitrary or unimportant I won't get that worked up regardless of how the other person feels about it. My desk is a mess but my PC is organised... My person is always tidy and hygiene of the highest standard, but my car is often a bit of a mess.
Where do you get all worked up and where are you chill.
Ps. :rocking: <-- Bring back this icon, I am anal about it

I took a personality DISC class at work. Aparently, in most of my life I am an IS personality which in a nutshell is a 'people pleaser'. However, interestingly (though not surprising to me) I exhibit a great many D (dominant) traits when it comes to work which according to the person teaching the class is unusual.
At home, I don't care if there's dust on things or dishes don't get done perfectly or even for a couple of days, etc. I usually let people walk all over me especially A type personalities and cater to everyone usually at my own expense. At work, I am a dominant personality. I work like a demon to produce results and you better too. My desk is 'organized chaos'. I often take on the world and have problems delegating because they don't do it as well or it will be easier and less time consuming for me just to do it my damn self. I speak my mind freely even to people above me, which I wouldn't dare do to most of my friends.
I'm a damned paradox.

A few years ago, I tried to articulate how I perceived time in my head, and people thought I was crazy. Long story, short, I experience what is called 'Spatial Sequence Synesthesia' - in it's most basic definition, it's visualizing a timeline in one's head. Most people see a circle around them, I see a straight line in time. Everything in the past, is to the left. The future, to the right.
It helped explain why when I was younger, I had a walls of CDs and DVDs in the order of when I bought them, when used, they would return to the same exact place. Locating them in this vast randomness was instant and a matter of recalling the time of purchase or recalling a memory or moment relating to this timeline in my head. It also meant I was very emotional about people touching my shit for a long time. It got to a point, I could walk into my room, glance at the shelf in passing and know exactly what CD/DVD was missing.

Probably the biggest one for me is how I organise my music files. Back in the day of P2P programs, it would drive me insane to see so many of the songs with weird capitilisation, spelling errors or wrong artists attached to them (eg. blinded by the - elo). Filling it out manually wasn't a big problem, but I couldn't believe how many people would let that go. Nowadays, I couldn't imagine listening to the poor audio quality of those files.
It's mostly a thing of the past, these days the only problem is when you've got artists collaberating with other artists. A brand new Kanye West album could be attributed to different artists, so the first thing I've got to do is edit out all the categories so it will pop up the right way.

Big Pete that’s the worst, newer CD’s seem to have stopped with that, but any time I’d put a hip-hop album in iTunes would have a breakdown.

I can be in certain things. Like, if I'm watching something on record, I keep checking the time left and I'll like set myself a real-world time for it to be finished by and I become obsessed by it, to the detriment of the enjoyment of the TV show. That's my worse thing.
The missus has got Aspergers syndrome so she is a lot more controlling and "anal" about things than myself, and most people, but of course can't really help it. Certainly an eye opener to me.
