The Jets have won their first playoff game since 1996. Great start.

Jets didn't play very well, but came away with a victory. That's excellent. Way too many giveaways!

It's great that they won. I'm very stoked to be there in person on Friday!

Where's Raven?! I need a Pittsburgher to celebrate with (unless Flyers rallied... Missed end of third driving to airport)

Man, the crowd in Winnipeg was unreal last night. That was the game I chose to watch and I'm glad I did. Not only was the game itself really good but the atmosphere was phenomenal. I'd hate to be any team that has to play in that building.

Did anyone see the pre-game ceremony in Vegas last night? They did some Medieval Times shit and it was crazy as hell. Look for it if you haven't seen it yet.

It was amazing. Every part of it. Especially Buff destroying Koivu. But ESPECIALLY Laine playing the violin with his stick as he skated past the Wild's bench. Love it.

Completely ass first period aside, the 2nd and 3rd periods ended in a 3-3 tie. I know it sounds like I'm clutching at pearls here (maybe I am) but that's something to take away from last night. The Leafs got brutalized again in the first, but they managed to right the ship and not leave completely embarrassed. I hope they focus on that heading back home because they need wins in Games 3 and 4 if they want a shot at taking this series to 7, which is really their only shot right now. They gotta trade home wins and go back to Boston tied, because Pastrnak and Co. can't keep this up forever and their only chance now is to make this go the distance.

Freddy plays amazing when he's pissed. Auston Matthews is pissed and swore in front of reporters (WHY ISN'T HE CAPTAIN YET!?). Mitch Marner, Tyler Bozak, Jake Gardiner, Zack Hyman and Connor Brown are all playing well and I don't see that changing. The Leafs have depth up front, so they're not going to miss Kadri and Komarov next game. They don't have any excuses to not make this a series.

Speaking of Komarov, I'm actually relieved he got hurt again. He's fucking dog shit and has been all year. "Oh but we need him on the PK." Do we? Because our PK fucking sucked in both games. It literally can't get any worse. Babcock's hard on for him is pure ego and nothing else. Everyone sees it but the guy in charge. He better sit and not get into the lineup so he can be even slower playing on an injured leg.

Here's hoping for that Game 2's Elliott doesn't show up and we get the return of Game 1 Elliott for another 7-goal squash.

Personally, I love watching Boston beat the Maple Leafs... I get enjoyment out of it. Only thing better than that, is watching the Jets take a two game lead against the Wild.

Still sucks though, that my Canucks didn't make the playoffs.

yikes Jets lose 6-2. I guess all the blizzard stuff really messed the Jets up. Having to fly in and get re-routed and then fly back to Winnipeg and then Turn around a fly back again. Although I'm more pissed about them losing game 3 as it means there will be a game 5 and I work right across from the arena and those outdoor party's are kinda a nightmare for our building lol

I'm loving these Blue Jackets. Two gritty road wins. Nationwide Arena will be thumping for game 3 and 4.

Great bounce back win by Toronto. And a great performance by Freddy Andersen. This is the kind of hockey that can bring a team back from despair.
