The WWE didn't issue the apology. You could argue they should never have taken the product to Jeddah in the first place, but I don't have a problem with them respecting local customs. The whole women's revoltuion has been on the nose since it came to be some 3-odd years ago. The women are still booked like a side-show attraction and there's little interest outside of the main programs. It always will be a side show, much like the cruiserweights. However, how women are being used as compared to say, the Attitude Era, or the RA era has changed. And overall, the level of talent has completely transformed. I don't agree with tokenism. And that's what is often mistaken for equality. Say for example, if they had pushed Darren Young on his sexuality and race rather than (lack of) talent, that would be tokenism. And you're right, when they bang on about the revolution / evolution constantly, it's off putting. In 2018, it ain't the WWE without Charlotte Flair or Alexa Bliss on the card. On another topic, I saw a comment on LOP about how the audience had a type of innocent, that was prevalent prior to the Attitude Era. I often need a more vocal audience. I've been to a number of live events in Melbourne, the 3 WWE events were 90% families, the NXT event was 90% young men in black t-shirts, the NXT show was super fun because of the crowd, the workers playing off the crowd and the over feeling as if, people were enjoying the show more.

As much as the WWE pretends to care, the way they've gone about booking these historic matches for the women have felt like nothing but shameless PR exercises.
Women's wrestling was really good in 2013-15 when NXT cared about the personalities and put together matches that the fans cared about. While that has had a flow-on effect in the WWE, it has yet to reach those heights.

So I couldn’t finish the Rumble at work so I finally caught up now and as someone said here, Titus Shockmastered himself. I truly believe that his career died in Saudi Arabia. That was sooooooo embarrassing. Yet sooooooooo hilarious.
Daniel Bryans chest was destroyed. That shit was crazy.
The Rumble was genuinely boring. Kevin Owens was the most entertaining person in it. Bobby Lashley looked awful. A few notches from him alone. Watching him now is like watching him years ago. He’s boring and does nothing to entertain me.
My favorite part of the show besides seeing Undertaker again was the way Seth Rollins won the ladder match. That was genius and original. I loved it. That’s literally snatching victory out of your opponents hands. Beautifully executed. Also the end of Brock/Roman was a cool concept but sort of backfired. I’m sure had Roman won, everyone would be trashing it here and this thread would be 2 pages longer. Instead, zero reaction? Strange.

Comments like this are pretty disgusting, bro. We all don't like the obvious gender issues at play here, but to go on the offensive against a whole country by calling it third rate is third rate in itself. Be better than that, man.. Oh kiss my ass , any country that denies women the most basic of rights I will classify however I feel. In the most classy way possible. Gotcha, UnTrumpable!! Rather than just ignore this travesty of an event you prefer to begrudgingly go along for the ride while making it clear the country that is hosting the event is third rate. Personally, I just wanna say that your lack of sensitivity while expressing your ignorance is disappointing. I would like to hope that with the recent changes towards entertainment on Saudi TV in general that they will continue to progress and it is only a matter of time before we are seeing the Womens championships defended on Saudi soil.

Oh you're so clever and altruistic , look at you taking the low hanging fruit and comparing me to that dolt Trump. I'm very proud of you , I'm sure your parent is proud. And it's not about the Women's championship , it's everything else they are denied to do , again basic rights. And you act like it's a progressing country when in fact it's actually falling behind the rest of the world even further in gender equality. Go ahead and stand up for Saudi Arabia though and their THIRD RATE views. Maybe we'll see a womens match on Saudi TV , and maybe they can actually talk to another man , or I don't know , compete in sports or make a life decision without the permission of a man.
