What the title says. Let's do a roll call as people make the jump over here. It's going to be a slow transition away from PW but I, along with many other mods, feel it needs to happen sooner rather than later. PW is on its last legs.

Real talk, I was getting the fan fic itch lately. But obviously there was no point in writing on PW. I dunno if all the mods/PW faithful are on the same page, but I hope to see them make the pilgrimage.

RT, can we get the low down on what changed with PW?

I made the jump! No promises, but the blank slate is kinda tempting me to start writing again.

I don't know how burdensome of an undertaking it might be, but I hate the thought of losing some of our history; i.e., great feds. Could we possibly organize a group effort to start transposting certain feds from PW over into here?

I'm settled in Ontario at my sister's now and I need any distraction I can to keep my mind off missing my family and when our house out west is going to sell, so I'll be here hoping to get some writing done as well.

I'm a bit out of the loop myself due to being insanely busy the past month with life, but I'll lay out what I know in a long, rambling post:

PW was updated, as you all know, but the new admins don't seem to care about fixing all the bugs or doing any maintenance. They're keeping the Adblock pop up despite huge outcries, they're focusing on making money off the boards (even though the past admin, Cornelius, who we all liked, told them that was impossible before walking away entirely), and they don't really care about much else from what we (the mods) can tell.

I know of several mods that have had nothing but problems since the update and have been mostly ignored by the new admins. On top of that, most members have run into the same issues and are just leaving PW altogether. For the past couple months it's basically been:

-Member notices issue and tells a mod.
-Mod says "yep, we're having the same problems and then some, I'll tell the admins."
-Mod tells the admins and is either ignored or gets a response several days later.
-Nothing gets fixed, issue continues to happen.
-Repeat

Traffic and activity is way, way down because of these issues. I've barely been on the past month and when I logged on this week the site was a ghost town, and the consensus among the mods is that it's probably going to stay that way for a while.

The site constantly goes down, sometimes for maintenance, sometimes for no reason, and the admins don't communicate anything. We just have to hope it comes back up when that happens.

Just this morning I tried logging in to get the link for this site (I lost it) and after three attempts to log in, I finally got in, then just kept getting kicked every time I clicked on a thread. After about 8 or 9 tries it finally worked for no other reason than I kept trying.

To put it in perspective, the last Raw Party had 60 posts total. That's less than 3 pages. Even just a few months ago Raw parties were hitting double digit page numbers without even trying.

Anyway, I'm here for good and working with the creators (HR, Oncall, etc) to try and keep the "PW spirit" alive on a new URL. It won't really be a mass exodus or anything, and PW isn't going anywhere, but at least we have a board that works that we control to post on, which is what we need.

Even that's a problem because the last update took all the old threads and double-posted every post. Migrating those threads to this one would be a nightmare of a task.

It upsets me too (a number of those old great threads are mine!) but part of me kind of enjoys just starting over completely. I would never expect anyone to take on that amount of work and I'm cool with it.

I'm eventually just gonna copy and paste all the stuff I posted on the old forum to here, but I don't want to do anything until I feel 100 percent certain this is the site we are sticking with. So it looks like I'm gonna be holding off for a bit.


At least all the old things will still be in our hearts and minds.


Except drafts. I want the slate wiped clean, so I can be the first ever winner.

Honestly, a draft could be a decent way to generate some initial interest/activity... assuming we can get 8-16 folks here.

I'd be and even willing to help organize/run one for once if it would be at all helpful to the mod team (is it even a mod team, or is it just RT? )

Its just me for now. WMS basically said he might join us here one day but not to count on it. He's realized hes outgrown discussion boards.

Send him a message on PW if you want. He's an open guy and if enough people bug him to join he might come over. He's on twitter and facebook too and will give you an add if you ask him nicely so you can keep in touch. He's a good guy.

If you guys want to do a draft, go for it. I probably won't help outside of editing posts if you need me to or whatever. Throw up a sign up thread and see what happens.

Better yet, approach some History of Wrestling guys and organize a co-draft. Survivor Series is coming up and we could do like a 3 roster vs 3 roster Forum Battle. More if more people sign up for either side.

Yeah I think I am going to start fresh, and new. Transferring all the old stuff from the other forum to here takes lot of work, and too much time might as well start new, and fresh.

I was going to spend a bit of time tonight transferring over The Canadian Death Tour and continuing on with The Commonwealth Championship but I started getting ready to copy and paste the thread and just...didn't.

As excited as I was to write The Commonwealth Championship tournament, spending the last few months away from the boards and dealing with life in general just torched that whole idea for me. I think if I had an end game in mind I would have been good continuing on but I honestly didn't. I didn't have a winner sorted, didn't have much story planned out, and was only using it as a vehicle to introduce more "territories."

I put a lot of work into building that alternate universe but at the same time, I feel like I've been handed an opportunity to do the same idea but more clean and easier to write. I think I'm going to do just that.

I tried to get Jeff the message to come here, but it keeps bringing me to a gateway error over at the original site. Anyone want to give him the shout?

So I was granted about $8,000 in financial aid money for the school year. However, it's been two months since classes started again, and not only have I not received the money yet, I have also been charged over $3,000 for the semester, which shouldn't happen as my financial aid should be covering all tuition costs.


I've sent an e-mail and am hoping things are fixed so I don't have to fight this too much, but it makes no sense. And it usually only takes about two weeks into the year for the school to send out financial aid and pay things off.

Start panhandling in the meantime. In fact, just stop school. You'll make more money that way.

AJ Styles was my number one choice glad I got him who my was top five choice while my other targets who are my top five targets already taken The Rock, EG, Undertaker, and CM Punk. Revamp my top five choices so I have an alternative options a few actually hopefully they are not taken by the time is my pick
