I've been feeling the itch to get back into fanfic. The only question is what project do I tackle?

Do I continue the wild and crazy world of George Plimpton's New Generation Wrestling?
A 93-94 WCW do over?
Finally get back to work on my mid 90s WWF project?
Or work on that whole saving the AWA thing I've had in the back of my mind for years?

So many options.....
Will take suggestions!

Kilgore did a late 90s WCW rebook while I did a 93-94 one featuring the greatness of ROMEO~!

Maybe I'll come back to that. Expand and perhaps start at the beginning of '93 instead of randomly in May. Think I only wrote up a few months of it before pooping out (it was my first major project) and then I simply listed PPV results for the next year +. 

I like to think I've gotten better since then. Plus there is some stuff I want to change. Will start playing around with it.

Oh, and I simply must get to my 1996 WWF Invasion at some point. It's gonna be glorious.

I was planning a WCW 98 project over the summer but i scrapped it. I started to get that itch over the weekend so i started over with a basic plan that i liked, i got some stuff booked up to Spring Stampede, i need to find a format that is fast and easy that works for me and ill run with it.

I started working on an outline for my new 1993 WCW project this evening. Going to TRY not going overboard with it this time. We'll see how it goes....

I've loved wrestling since the moment I first laid eyes on it. I just don't love it anymore and it sucks. I literally only watch clips if I hear it's a "must watch". I tuned in for the beginning of RAW tonight and had zero interest in continuing to watch. I didn't even feel the excitement of The Shield reunion. All my childhood heroes retired and now all that's left is annoying fans who try to ruin great characters by taking over shows (ala Roman Reigns and John Cena.) Plus I'm not a huge fan of these "Indy Gods", because they truly suck on the microphone and promos were always my favorite part.

Mourn with me.

I feel the same way about MMA right now. It's really a dead scene right now all the best fighters in the game have boring personalities and boring fighting styles, the UFC has truly sanitized the sport and it has died as a result. The Pride tapes are the sport at it's best imo, before that the bareknuckle 1-night tournament era was full of characters. The sport today has evolved so far beyond what it was when I fell in love with it that it's almost something else entirely and I'm not so sure I like it.

Got a lot keeping me busy these. Girlfriend, work, gym, a writing/music project (Parallel X on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram). Don't really watch the current WWE product much anymore besides the odd happenings similar to Kid, I just watch classic stuff on the WWE Network. Much like a lot of you, I've got a few ideas on a notepad of fics that I just don't find time to sit down and flesh out, let alone write. If I can nail an easy format that I'm happy with and find the time, maybe one day.

Bit stressed atm due to debt. Without going into ins and outs, up to my eyeballs with outgoings and a couple of dumb loans I took out when I was younger and misguided (should've got a 0% interest credit card, hindsight!) so up at night often worried about things beyond my control. Hoping to turn the corner in the New Year. Saving to buy a property with the missus in a few years, so that's the end goal, settle down, start a family when the time is right.

Just wish I'd been smarter with money when I was younger. The hitter irony is now I'm in a position in my life that I want to save and move forward with my life, debts won't allow me to. Is what it is.

I like to think almost everyone gets stupid and in debt at some point in their life.  Getting out of debt is one of the best feelings there is.  Staying out of debt is whole different animal.  Good luck.

So a little under an hour ago, I was denied a promotion/raise. In not so many words, I was told that I wasn't good enough and the supervisor position I'm in now is my ceiling. Totally devastated about this.

This was an hour after I found out my money league QB Deshaun Watson tore his ACL and is out for the season.

You put fantasy money life and work money life together into a bowl and you get my shit luck.

I haven't been this upset in a long time. It's a weird feeling.

And yes to RT. Happened to me many times. You need to take a mental writing pause because of it. Wait for the hype for real life wrestling to die down. Then get back to it. It's not as bad as wrestlers dying out of nowhere (Eddie and Benoit) while they are your champions and you have to change everything.

What's the EMT career ladder look like? What's the promotion you were gunning for? Is it better to go government or private as an EMT?

After the cop stuff fizzled out, I got it into my head that I really should've pursued my interest in medicine that was sparked in senior year of high school. I took supernaturally to it, especially first aid/first responder-type stuff. So much so in fact that even as recently as last Thanksgiving I was debating joining the Army Reserves to get some training as a medic.

Is the civilian spin on the gig dope at all? Or just full of bullshit like any other job out there?

Would love to know more from an inside guy who's been there and seen shit.

I'm going to tell you this as a friend, but being a civil servant is exactly that. A servant. You are a slave to everyone and you get disrespected more then appreciated and that gap is so big that it's not even worth it. There's good feelings you get from the job, like when you actually help someone who was in dire need. However, with the landscape (especially in NYC), you can call for an ambulance for literally anything and that's the shitty part. Stuffy noses and stubbed toes, I've had them all. You get more bullshit calls then serious calls and not to mention, having to lift people up or down flights of stairs because they can't walk or are just being overly dramatic and lazy. Not to mention, the morbid obesity community is much more visible when you work this field. I didn't know how many morbidly obese people there were in this world until I saw them in this field. They're usually in nursing homes, rehabs or hiding up 15 stairs in their custom made bed. Not to mention, the community fucking hates everyone that wears a uniform so you get to deal with that. Then to top it off, shit head bosses.

As for the promotion, I wanted to get into being a road supervisor and getting out of the office supervisor role that I'm in. More money, more convenience, except I'm the wrong religion to get that.

I waited to watch Survivor Series to see what changes I wanted to make to fit the story I want to tell with my fed. It'll be posted later today, most likely.

After the next couple posts I'm just taking over WWE entirely and branching in my own direction. It's been a mega slow burn due to being so busy with life, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait when I start going crazy and writing insane stuff that will never happen in real life.

So my kid dumped coffee on our laptop the other day. I’m on my work iPad right now.

Fortunately the laptop is insured. Just have to exchange it. My WWE will be on hold until then and posting will be limited because typing on this iPad SUCKS.

Update: I'm still alive despite barely being online this month. Laptop is a whole thing, we've sent it off to wherever we bought insurance from and are waiting for them to either send it back fixed or send a cheque so we can buy a replacement. Hopefully we'll have something this week or next.

I'm sorry to whoever tried to reach me this month and didn't hear back. Aside from not having access to a laptop, I worked out of town a lot and had all the usual holiday family obligations that go along with this time of year.
