Warrior on Cinemax comes along right on time with Into the Badlands coming to an end. Though I could watched subtitled, I do like the subtle touch when they cue switching from their Asian dialects to English (with the clear implication they're actually still speaking in their native tongues). Still, some really good performances, and top notch action sequences.
Though, it is still Skinemax, so just like Banshee and Strike Back before it, expect a decent helping of the hardest core of soft core sex around.

Banshee was such a good show and then they just rushed to the ending which made zero sense.

Definitely a disappointing final season compared to the rest, not altogether horrible, but a clear step down from the standard. Especially disappointing from a series who had what I'd consider one of the best TV antagonists ever in Chayton Littlestone, the Native American terminator.

Despite the ups and downs over the previous 14 seasons, Supernatural has always known how to do a god damn finale. "Moriah" was a hell of a thing. Now just hope the final season can live up to that epic set-up, as the amazing finales are often followed by lackluster premiers that basically undo the promise of the previous finale (discounting season1-5, which built brilliantly). I remember when season six ended with Cas proclaiming himself God and demanding worship being immediately thrown off for season 7's Leviathan arc, or as it's commonly known, the worst god damn season of the series. This one shouldn't have an easy out, it's the most intriguing set up since they decided to go past the perfect conclusion in season 5, can't wait to see how this goes. Hopefully they don't lumberjack the finale.

Started with Smallville, then Supernatural, now the Flash, 100, Jane, ect....

Two seasons down, one to go on Deadwood. I appreciate the quality, but it won’t break my ten favorite shows list or anything.

Finished Deadwood. I understand the weird Hollywood ending of the series with Olyphant’s agent and the expensive sets but what a real downer note to go out on. I haven’t done a ton of research into Deadwood, but I’m curious if someone could make a similar show where Al and Bullock are the bad guys and Hearst is a good guy, since history seems to suggest that’s more true.

God dammit, I was really hoping that with Into the Badlands' cancellation that they'd have formed some sort of an ending, as it does happen on rare occasion...but, nope, fucking cliffhanger for a season 4 that may never be. Son of a bitch.

Decided to start Mindhunter on Netflix the other night. It had been on my list forever and when I saw season 2 was announced for later this year I figured I should get on it.
We're both addicted. I really like how they're telling this story. And the ADT guy is freaking me out. What's he gonna do? They gonna catch him thanks to their research?
Probably not.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing where the story goes. It's amazing to me that this didn't even occur to the FBI until the mid 70s. Then all of a sudden there's a spike in serial killers in the United States. Makes you wonder how many were out there before Charles Manson and the Son of Sam blew this all wide open.

Started with Smallville, then Supernatural, now the Flash, 100, Jane, ect.... Their shows start great and then they have no direction, but I don't watch Smallville. Seems to me that CW doesn't know how to write drama without melodrama. Legends waned and I got tired of it Flash got too damn camp and I couldn't stand the Iris / Barry dynamic... She is leading the team but Joe is a police detective? Supergirl takes itself too serious and got too woke for my liking. Arrow is the only one that moderately held my interest by cooling it with the whole Felicity thing and finally ditching the flashbacks, just in time to decide they aren't making any more of them. The DC network is superior in every way, Titans was really well done, the only weak part was the writing in parts.

Of all CW shows, the 100 is the one that really pushes narrative the most (yeah, still some melodrama), last episode had an interesting development: Clarke's (the mainiest of the main characters) mind overwritten by a new consciousness, the way they said it to her, was the prior consciousness dies. But in the other instances they were removing the prior consciousness, so I'm thinking maybe there's going to be a rejection and Clarke will fight her way back to control. Really makes me wonder though, since any other CW show, guaranteed to be undone, but the 100 is their single show that has taken some pretty drastic turns in the story. That'd be a pretty major thing if it sticks.

Almost finished with Killing Eve, catching up on shows frequently on critics top list. It’s great, probably my favorite show this year. I think the plot really fell apart a bit in season 2. Villanelle is such a great character but I hope they're looking to wrap this up and not drag it out further.

I think the plot really fell apart a bit in season 2. Villanelle is such a great character but I hope they're looking to wrap this up and not drag it out further. Concur. I haven’t finished the season, but it isn’t the same show. Apparently the head writer changed so that probably had a lot to do with it. On top of the general messiness of the storyline there was a noticeable reduction in the black humour which offset the violence really well in the first season. The reigns are being handed over again for season three so we'll see if that makes things any better, or perhaps worse...

Yeah and I’m not sure it made a ton of sense to end it as a continuing series with Villanelle anyway. Have to create some real twists and turns in story to keep her a player that isn’t being hunted at all times.

Just caught up on Chernobyl this week. It’s been interesting. Nothing I would watch again, but worth the first time through.
As a bit of a palate cleanser, I’m watching the exact opposite show in Big Little Lies. It’s fine, the ladies are good actors and the director is interesting just like he was with Sharper Objects.

I'm cautiously optimistic for BLL season 2, hoping that it doesn't go down the Handmaid's Tale route of falling apart when they try and extend the story beyond the source material. What We Do in the Shadows has been great fun so far. Isn't this hilarious? I can't remember the last show that made me genuinely laugh out loud as much as this (maybe Flight of the Conchords!)

Looking forward to this weekend. We'll finally get an ending to Deadwood, with a two hour movie on HBO. Season 1 was great. Season 2 I lost interest. Got HBO NOW this past weekend to finish GoT and catch up on West World and True Detective. I'll have to give Deadwood another shot.

The Deadwood movie was quite the close to the series. I had watched season one years ago, then caught up just for the movie. Tremendous work, seems like it would almost certainly be the last thing to be written by the bizarre genius David Milch.

Chernobyl is the best miniseries since Band Of Brothers. The tone of this series is just insanely haunting. Brings back memories of being a 6 year old kid and wondering why fighter jets are flying in the sky and flying really low.

Disappointingly, Happy got cancelled. Such a uniquely absurd show, sad to see it go. Syfy's letting me down more and more.
EDIT: Oh, and Deadly Class...dangit. Fuuuuck you Syfy. Better not screw Magicians over Eureka style. Or even Z Nation style, 5 seasons and a dead drop.

Happy AND Deadly Class?!?! That's BS. I loved both those shows.
Where do I find this What We Do in the Shadows show? Sounds like something I'd enjoy the hell out of.
Just finished watching Dead to Me on Netflix. It got renewed for another season. Hopefully they don't do to me what they did with Santa Clarita Diet.
Did anyone ever watch Insatiable on Netflix. It started out great. Lots of inuendo andsmart comedy. Then near the end it took a drastic turn. I still don't know if I'll check out Season 2.

What We Do In Shadows is an FX show, so I'd start by checking their site, not sure if they offer whole seasons or not.
