Batista wins the Royal Rumble and stays heel throughout the year, defeating Daniel Bryan (& Orton) at Wrestlemania XXX, much to the dismay of those in attendance. 
Daniel Bryan announces his retirement the following night, with Batista claiming responsibility and mocking him for being a B+ player and not the face WWE needs. 

John Cena fueds with Batista and eventually defeats him to become WWE Undisputed Champion to a much warmer reception than at the original event. 
Batista leaves WWE. 

- Evolution do not reform and The Shield do not break up.  

Brock Lesnar is awarded #1 contendership for Summerlam on account of breaking the streak..and being Brock Lesnar

- The WWE Undisputed Championship is merged into one belt prior to the event. 
- The Shield defeat The Uso's to become Raw Tag Team Champions.

Randy Orton defeats Roman Reigns in a back and forth match up with Randy Orton narrowly getting the win after reversing a spear into an RKO. Orton offers a disappointed Roman reigns a post match handshake, Reigns slaps his hand away and exits the ring frustrated with his narrow loss to Randy Orton, as Orton stands in the ring slightly confused. 

MAIN EVENT

 
John Cena dominates the early portion of the match up, catching Brock Lesnar off guard in the opening of the match with a succession of strikes. Cena’s early momentum continues until he is able to hit the Attitude Adjustment very early into the match up. Cena goes for the cover as the crowd is ecstatic.



Cena barely gets a one count and is defiantly thrown across the ring, Brock sits up laughing as Cena looks at him in disbelief. Brock jumps back and forth calling for Cena to get back to a standing position. Brock and Cena lock up and after a short contest, Lesnar backs Cena into the corner. Brock holds Cena past the 5 count and is told to remove the hold with a stern warning from the referee. Referee Charles Robinson warns Brock and the two men circle around the ring.



They again tie up and John Cena powers Brock to the other corner, Cena immediately breaks the hold upon Brock touching the corner. Brock promptly uses this distraction and suddenly tosses Cena into the corner, driving his side into Cena’s abdomen repeatedly. Brock whips Cena to the opposing corner, launching Cena with such velocity he ricochets into the center of the ring where he is caught with a thunderous lariat by Brock Lesnar. Again, Brock motions for Cena to get to his feet. Cena gets halfway to his feet before Brock hits Cena with a German Suplex.



Brock hits Cena with repeated German Suplexes, with Cena’s small attempts at offense throughout the onslaught having little effect on The Beast. Brock hits a succession of 15 Suplexes, mocking his prey as the referee asks Cena if he is willing to continue. Despite the beating, Cena wills himself to his feet. Brock again grips Cena around his waist, and prepares for his 16 German suplex in the match up.



Cena Counters! Cena walks backward and uses the momentum of the ropes to hit a bulldog on Brock Lesnar. Cena holds his abnomen as he winces will again holding the ropes, slowly than his usual speed. He hits Brock Lesnar with two shoulder blocks, but is unable to knock the challenger off his feet. Cena hits Brock Lesnar with a clothesline and Brock is dazed to a kneeling position.



Cena climbs to the second rope and hits the challenger with his signature leg drop. Cena grounds Lesnar for only the second time in the match up. Cena sets up for the Five Knuckle Shuffer, using the power of the crowd to will himself back into the match up despite the beating he took prior in the match up. Cena launches his attack, and is promptly countered by Brock Lesnar!



Lesnar grabs the champion’s arm and pulls him down, experly maneuvering into position and locking Cena in the Kimura! Cena screams in agony, as Brock kicks Cena in the ribs from his grounded position, again working the midsection of John cena. The kicking softens Brock’s grip to an extent, as Cena manages to slowly make his way to the rope. Cena’s fire looks to be fading, his “Never Give Up” attitude powering him throughout the pain. Finally Cena makes it the rope. Cena grips the rope as the referee calls for Brock to break the hold.



Brock intent on making the champion suffer, keeps the hold in place fixated on humiliating Brock Lesnar, consumed with the enjoyment of causing Cena anguish. In his bloodlust, Lesnar is disqualified with Lesnar seemingly unaware. Finally, the announcement of the result of the match breaks Lesnar from his haze.




Brock Lesnar has been disqualified. Therefore the winner of this match and STILL WWE Undisputed Champion

John Cena!



Brock sits up arguing with the referee, furious and begins arguing with the referee before hitting him with a thunderous F5. Brock tosses Robinson out of the ring like a ragdoll and jumps out of the ring after him. Brock drags Robinson up the entrance ramp by the hair, before shoving him down on the entrance way. Brock motions Robinson up to his feet and hoists him on his shoulders. Brock lines him up with the LCD screen on the side of the entrance ramp and F5’s straight into it, smashing a portion of the screen. Security swarms Brock Lesnar trying to restrain him, he instead fights off security and again hits Charles Robinson with an F5. Finally Brock makes his way backstage with Heyman yelling at him repeatedly, pleading with him to stop the carnage.


Finally, the carnage settles down as Cena makes it to his feet, immensely struggling to raise his arm in victory. Cena is downed! Reigns strikes Cena in the back of the head with his MITB Briefcase.



Reigns kneels in the far right corner, frantically hugging the breifcase as he calls for a referee as the tag team champions, Rollins and Ambrose surround the ring..the titles secured firmly arround their waists. Cena very slowly makes it to his feet as finally a referee enters the ring. Reigns gives the briefcase to the referee as the referee tries to assess Cena’s ability to compete. Reluctantly, the referee gives the briefcase to the time keeper as it is announced that Reigns is cashing in as the bell is rang shortly after.



Spear! Cena is downed only mere seconds after the match is started. 1-2-3!



The winner of this match and NEW WWE Undisputed Champion

Roman Reigns!



Reigns motions for a microphone as he is handed the undisputed championship, as Rollins and Ambrose enter the ring. Reigns motions for Rollins and Ambrose to hoist Cena up.



ROMAN:
John Cena..your time is up. OUR time is now. 



Roman tosses his title and the microphone aside, letting out his signature war cry before The Shield decimate Cena with their signature Triple Bomb. Reigns picks his newly won championship up, as Rollins and Ambrose follow suit..the trio proudly lifting their championships into the air as they stand defiantly over John Cena as Summerslam goes off air.

I’m not a fan of taking away Daniel Bryan’s WM30 moment but I’d sacrifice almost anything for a good Lesnar/Reigns booking so let’s see where this goes. Liking it so far.

Raw starts with a recap of Summerslam then cuts to the announcers desk where Cole has some quick announcements. Firstly, WWE has indefinitely suspended Brock Lesnar due to his actions against WWE official Charles Robinson and secondly that John Cena will not be in attendance at Raw tonight due to injuries sustained at Summerslam.



(The Shield’s Entrance music hits as they make their way to the ring, each competitor holding their respective championship. Seth Rollins grabs the microphone) 



Seth Rollins: For years, all we’ve been hearing from the WWE Universe is that you want New Blood in the WWE. Yet, year after year, month after month we’re getting the same old main events filled with the same old superstars..and you hypocrites sit back and lap it all up. You moan you want fresh new faces in the WWE, then go to the merch stand and buy John Cena’s 52nd new T-shirt. Who by the way couldn’t be here tonight..courtesy to the NEW WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns!



(Reigns Mocks Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” Gesture as he looks down at his championship)



See unlike you complacent sheep, The Shield did something about it. We took action.

(Randy Orton’s music hits)





Orton tells Reigns that is big talk from someone that couldn’t defeat another “Old-Timer” last night (looking in the titantron reflection touching his face to suggest he isn’t that old) and that if it wasn’t for Brock Lesnar, Reigns wouldn’t have had a chance in hell in defeating John Cena last night. Orton challenges Reigns to a rematch and the match is made for the main event of Raw.
  

Roman Reigns VS Randy Orton
[Non-Title/The Shield at ringside]



Roman Reigns is much more dominant in this match up, compared to his Summerslam encounter. Reigns controls the match up in the early going, with Orton only getting minor offense as Reigns continues to beat down Randy Orton. Reigns misses a Drive-By on Orton! Orton hits Roman Reigns with his signature hangman’s DDT. Orton takes control of the match up and begins to get the better of Roman Reigns and sets up for the Punt kick. Ambrose jumps up on the apron to distract Orton elbows him off the apron. The official stands facing outside the ring, telling Ambrose to make his way to the back… as Seth Rollin Nails the Tag Team Championship into the back of Randy Orton’s Skull. Orton slowly stumbles back to a vertical position as Roman Reigns stalks him in the corner and Rollins exits the ring.



SPEAR! 1-2-3.

Rollins and Ambrose clear off the announce table and motion for Reigns to bring Orton outside the ring. Roman Reigns violently tosses Orton through the ropes to the outside. Ambrose and Rollins set up Orton on their shoulders as Reigns helps them deliver their patented Triple Powerbomb, sending Orton straight through the announce table!

Reigns defiantly stands over Orton’s downed body as he hoists his WWE Championship belt high above his shoulder as Raw goes off air.

RAW RECAP

Raw opened with John Cena fired up challenging Roman Reigns to a rematch later in the evening, claiming that even though he still wasn't 100% thanks to the suspended Brock Lesnar he was willing to take his chances on the night. The Shield's music hit with Reigns declaring that he wouldn't put his title on the line unless it's at Night of Champions,because the new face of WWE won't put his title on the line in (insert cheap heat local town gimmick here).

The Shield surrounded the ring suggesting they were about to attack Cena when Randy Orton's music hit.
a brawl started and The Shield were looking to get the upper hand until Chris Jericho came to the rescue.

6 man tag gimmick is made for later in the evening.

2014 Summary

Night Of Champions 2014 

Ambrose Defeats Jericho and The Shield beat down Jericho after the match, destroying another victim that they claim is past their prime. They are eventually stopped by The Uso's who come to the aid of Jericho.

Roman Reigns VS John Cena ends in a double count-out, with The Shield banned from Ringside. Reigns and Cena continue feud throughout the rest of the year without Reigns ever getting a definite win over John Cena, with a variety of non-finishes with Cena and Reigns equally frustrated, with Cena not being able to claim a pinfall/Submission 
victory over Reigns, and Reigns proving Cena's point that he cannot defeat him without cheap tactics.

Reigns tells Cena he's had his fair share of chances after TLC, and that he needs to go the back of the line if he wants another shot at the WWE Championship. Cena tells Reigns he wouldn't be champion if it wasn't for his cronies and underhanded tactics, however he will accept the terms and try his hand at another title shot by becoming the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble. He admits he hasn't been able to overcome the odds, but that Reigns knows deep down inside he can't beat him in a 1v1 match without interference. 


 

 

What did Reigns/Cena do at the October PPV? Would be curious to see some more detail of how their through the rest of 2014 escalated. With the way this is being booked, this actually seems like the kind of rivalry and angle that legitimately calls for a HIAC match as a blow-off.

Roman Reigns earned a dominant victory over Jericho, retaining his WWE Championship. 

 

ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH

John Cena enters at Number one, determined to go the distance and once again get his hands on Roman Reigns

and the WWE Championship that Reigns has just barely managed to hold on to for the last few months.



Much to Cena's disadvantage, The Shield draw the #2 and #3 spots and waste no time double teaming Cena.

The Dudley Boys enter after, only for Bray Wyatt to even score as Bray & The Shield brawl with Cena and

The Dudley Boys.



Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins dominate the match up, gaining elimination after elimination yet unable

to eliminate John Cena. Kane enters at 24 and begins to clear house also. Uncharacteristically

the eliminations are quick and the ring is emptying at an alarming rate.

Big Show's music hits as only Kane,Cena, Rollins and Ambrose remain in the ring.

Kane and Big Show brawl and Big Show takes Kane to the ropes. As Kane and Big show Grapple,

Rollins and Ambrose double team Kane and Show and eliminate them both!



The Shield wave bye to Kane and Big Show only to be Double clothesline By Cena! Cena remains as the only person left

in the ring and #30 hasn't even entered the ring! This is unprecedented! Cena is exhausted,

one more elimination and he's off to Wrestlemania to face Roman Reigns!

BROCK LESNAR! Brock Lesnar is back from Suspension!



A fresh and ready to fight Brock Lesnar enters the ring as Cena stands across from him

exhausted. Cena motions "come get some" as he barely remains at a vertical position.

Brock Lesnar hooks Cena by the waist, German Suplex!



Cena pulls himself up by the ropes, and motions "You Can't See Me" as he again

makes to his feet. After all the punishment Cena has endured in this match up,

he still hasn't given up. This agitates Lesnar who shoulder charges him in the corner.



Lesnar pulls Cena toward the rope and attempts to eliminate him. Cena fights back!

Cena hits the ropes and hits Lesnar with a shoulder block. Lesnar remains on his feet,

as Cena attempts another shoulder block. Cena hits the ropes to attempt another shoulder block,

Lesnar counters...



F5!



Lesnar smiles as Cena lays lifeless on the mat, the F5 stopping Cena's second wind dead in its tracks.

Cena picks Lesnar up,



Attitude Adjustment!



Cena collapses having used all his strength and determination to down the beast Brock Lesnar.



Both mean are downed for several moments before Brock makes it to his feet, seemingly

only slightly inconvenienced by Cena's offense. Brock picks Cena up and throws him over the top rope!

He states that although he was victorious in the match that Cesaro fought hard and is a future superstar, unlike the people in tonight’s main event that need to stop living in 2003 and step aside to make way for the new era of the company. He states that he doesn’t care whether he has to face Brock Lesnar 1 on 1 or face both Brock and Cena at Wrestlemania, he will walk out victorious and usher in the new era of the WWE.

Brock Lesnar VS John Cena 

 

John Cena shows much more promise throughout the match up than their previous encounter at Summerslam, with Cena being to frustrate Lesnar as he is unable to connect with the F5 as Cena manages to counter at every attempt. Brock takes Cena into the corner and begins to ram his shoulder into the abdomen of Cena. Cena manages to evade Brock’s offence and sends him into the corner and connects with a series of strikes, getting the opening he needs in the match up. Brock is down onto his knees and Cena climbs to the second rope and hits Brock Lesnar with a leg drop. The Beast is downed!. Cena wastes no time getting back on the offence as Brock quickly rises to a full verticable base. He hits brock with a series of shoulder blocks, taking four attempts to get his opponent back to a grounded position. He hits Brock with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and then sets up for the attitude adjustment.



Cena attempts to lift Brock onto his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment, Brock elbows him in the back..counter! F-5!

Brock and Heyman leave the ring as Heyman congratulates him on his victory. After the duo leave the entrance ramp, Cena gets to his feet looking visibly disheartened and angry with himself at his performance, as Cena has put up a lot more of a fight in his other far and few between losses.



The PPV ends with Cena looking broken, staring at the Wrestlemania sign as he realizes his road to the main event of Wrestlemania has ended. 

 

MONDAY NIGHT RAW

RAW starts off with Roman Reigns’ making a promo claiming that he and Cesaro tore the house down last night at No Way Out, however despite Reigns being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion...he was in the opening match yet Brock Lesnar and John Cena were in the main event. He states that The Shield was formed to destroy the past of WWE and make way for the up & coming talent by force.

Reign’s claim that’s it’s obvious Cena’s Ruthless Aggression has run out as evident from his loss to Brock Lesnar..and at Wrestlemania he will show Brock Lesnar that it’s his yard once for all.

*BROCK LESNAR’S THEME HITS*

Paul Heyman (Accomanied by Lesnar) interrupts Reigns and points out that Reigns’ comes from a historic wrestling family and wouldn’t even be in the big leagues without them, and claims that Reigns’ is disrespecting former champions...former champions like Brock Lesnar.
Heyman puts over Reign’s accomplishments in the ring but says he is putting the feast before the fire that is Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania.

Heyman says that Brock Lesnar become the undisputed champion while Reigns’ was still in high school and at Wrestlemania the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be back around the waist of a deserving champion.

JOHN CENA PROMO

John Cena delivers a heartfelt promo, saying that he missed out on a huge opportunity in being in the main event of Wrestlemania and defeating the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Maybe his time is coming to an end and while he stands true to the motto never give up..
He needs to challenge himself and rekindle the Ruthless Aggression that brought him to WWE.


He issues an open challenge to anyone that wants a match with him at Wrestlemania.


*RUSEV MUSIC HITS*



Rusev (Accomplied by Lana) cuts Heel Foreigner promo 101, boasting about his undefeated streak and that John Cena represents everything he hates about America and at Wrestlemania he would nothing more than to crush John Cena and everything that he stands for.

John Cena takes great offence to Rusev’s comments stating that Rusev has belittled the country he loves and the creed he stands for. However he also recognises that Rusev is undefeated and has watched him destroy superstar after superstar, so defeating Rusev would be the challenge he needs. Cena makes Rusev an offer for the grandest stage of them all

Streak VS Career!

If John Cena cannot defeat the undefeated Rusev at Wrestlemania, he must retire!

Summary



Cena and Rusev are easily matched in the early going, Cena’s offensive not as effective as it has been in the past, a testament to Rusev..showing why he has been undefeated thus far.



Cena makes a small mistake which Rusev capitalizes on and turns the tide on Big Match Johnny. Rusev continues to beat down Cena and eventually puts him in the Accolade.



After an initial struggle, Cena powers out of it to a vertical base..lifting Rusev onto his back and

Hitting him with a modified back drop. Cena gets his upper hand back, leading into this five moves of doom.



Cena lifts Rusev onto his shoulders and plants him with the Attitude Adjustment for the three.

Brock Lesnar VS Roman Reigns   

Full Match



Roman Reigns charges at Brock Lesnar full force as soon as the bell rings, looking like he is about to hit a superman punch and Brock motions behind him and counters with a monstrous german suplex, the height and angle from Reigns momentum used against him as he crashes hard, causing early damage to his neck and shoulder, already opening up a weak spot for Lesnar to exploit already.



Lesnar jumps back and forth, laughing as Reigns used the ropes to assist himself back to a vertical base. As Reigns leans in the corner, Brock hits him with a thunderous lariat, knocking Reigns back down already. Brock laughs and again waits for Reigns to get to his feet as he does. Clearly in pain yet determined to slay the beast. Reigns charges at Lesnar for a spear, Lesnar side steps him and grabs him, sending him shoulder first into the ring post, affecting his already damaged neck as collateral damage. Reigns falls to the outside, as the referee begins his count.



The referee begins his count as Reigns appears lifeless on the outside. Brock again jumps back and forth in the ring laughing as the referees count gets closer to the 10. As the Ref gets a count of 7, Reigns staggers to his feet..resting his tattooed arm on the apron to assist himself up. As he slowly gets to his feet as the referee hits the 9 count, he makes his way back into the ring to break the count, much to the dismay of Paul Heyman’s yelling on the outside.



Reigns makes it back up to his feet, clearly in pain yet determine to continue the match. Brock Lesnar mockingly motions “come here” as Reigns staggers toward him. Reigns staggers towards Brock as Brock grips him for a belly to back suplex.Reigns locks his leg around Lesnar’s preventing him from performing the mouth and hits Lesnar with a right hand,which loosens his grip. Again with another right hand, Brock staggers back breaking his grip on Reigns.



Brock is backed into the ropes and pushes Reigns away, shooting him into the ropes as he sets up for another lariat. Reigns bounces back off the ropes and hits Lesnar with the Superman Punch!



Lesnar staggers to his knees but Reigns is failing to capitalise, the pain from his shoulder aggravated from the superman punch. Reigns bares through the pain and sets up in the corner for the spear.



Reigns charges at Lesnar for the spear, connec…



Lesnar counters! Lesnar locks in the Kimura! Reigns yells out in pain as Lesnar’s death grip on his arm is unflinching! Reigns holds off as much as he can, the pain becoming unbearable and the ropes unreachable...as he finally gives in and taps out in the centre of the ring.





Winner: Brock Lesnar!
