**Spoiler Alert** **Thread Contains Spoilers**
Cast & Characters
Chris Hemsworth as Thor Tom Hiddleston as Loki Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk Anthony Hopkins as Odin Cate Blanchett as Hela Idris Elba as Heimdall Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie Karl Urconectonban as Skurge
Based off the trailers, this looks like the best Thor movie yet, I'm definitely looking forward to going to see Thor: Ragnarok this weekend... anyone else planning on seeing it opening weekend? As an actor, I rather like Karl Urban, so it'll be interesting to see his take on Skurge, though it's strange (at least to me), that they would use Executioner (Skurge) and not Enchantress, considering how much of their history is linked to one another.

Easily the best Thor movie and one of Marvel's strongest outings. The literal only thing I didn't care for was the treatment of the Warrior's Three. That was honestly appalling, but didn't take away from the movie too much. No reason they couldn't have stood alongside the rest of the heroes. Made me wonder why they even bothered putting them into the movie at all.
I'd rate it a 8/9 out of 10. Highly recommended. Black Panther is up next and then the main event! Zero hour is getting near!

It was fun! I always enjoy the comic book movies that don't take themselves so seriously, but I think they got the balance spot on in this one between being having plenty of banter but not being completely silly. All the side characters were fun but I particularly liked Korg. I haven't seen the previous Thor movies but I remember people having a crack at Hemsworth for being a bit stilted and unnatural, so either they were/are wrong, or he's gotten a lot better.

Korg may have been the best part for me. Liked the movie, but do have to admit the Marvel quip/banter dialogue for a decade is starting to not be as funny as it makes it hard to take anything seriously. I'm sure based on the previews that Thanos/IW will change all that.

I thought I commented on the movie already, I guess not.
Anyways, I rather enjoyed Thor: Ragnarok, as HR said, it's a fun movie, in my opinion, the best of the Thor solo movies*, and honestly, I think a big part of that, is it wasn't anything like the previous two Thor movies. As far as new characters, I think Valkyrie was my favorite, though I wish they did more with her, I will say this about the actress (Tessa Thompson), I haven't seen her in much (just Creed, Dear White People and Thor: Ragnarok), but I'm definitely a fan of hers, looking forward to seeing more of the character in Avengers: Infinity War.
*I'd rank them in the following order...
1. Thor: Ragnarok 2. Thor 3. Thor: Thor The Dark World

Yeah, it sort of undersold the gravitas of Asgard being lost as rock-being made unintentionally funny quips about the destruction of their homeland.
