Like the title says. I’m more so looking for outdoor activity ideas, it’s winter here so going to the beach isn’t optimal.
Do you think you use your leisure time wisely?

The point of leisure time is not to use it wisely... Right?
My only downtime for the whole week is watching the footy with pizza on a Friday or Saturday night.

I mostly spend my free time tinkering with my computers and or watching tech videos in the same vein. As far as outdoors? Not a whole lot, I play basketball every morning but that's about it. I used to spend all my time arguing with you people, I haven't done so in a long time.

Oh... I do workout, but I don't count that as downtime, I lift weights and box 6 times a week.

I know you travel a lot, do you go to a chain of gyms or stay in hotels with gyms inside them? I was the most active member of my gym last month, but I wouldn’t consider it leisure time either. Mostly I end up going to the movies, but the general public makes that less and less enjoyable as time goes on, as well as going out to eat. A lot of people I know are crazy about camping, maybe I’ll take that up. I went fishing with a friend and it was somewhat relaxing despite them being a nazi about it.

Another Aussie here, and I too have been thinking about how little I do in my feel time.
Besides sitting in front of the TV and drinking coffee, I'm usually out in the yard, gardening, mowing lawns. There's something about yard-work and trips to Bunnings that excites me. That and I take great pride in my Subaru Crosstrek.

I work outside all day long hard brutal physical labor, it's been over 100 degrees here all week, yesterday it was 105, the callouses on my hands are getting out of control, I could probably file them to a point and use them like the old timey pro wrestlers the way they would grind them across their opponents faces and cut their eyelids open. The last fucking thing I want to do in my spare time is hang out outside but it does me some good every once in a while to get the kayak out on the lake and just drift around smoking a spliff listening to some one drop reggae beats.

I've monetized a bunch of my downtime with part-time jobs. I have two. A mall job and catering. Running in the woods as a hobby has lead me to organize my own trail race and help others organize and operate their races. Which has lead me to sitting on the board of directors for a pediatric cancer foundation that has 2 races for fundraising and on the strategic advisory board for a charity that helps people organize fundraisers. 22 weeks a year I spend one night a week volunteering with boys in an organization that builds leaders. Only one in the US but some of the international folk here may be familiar with the Boys Brigade. Thursday nights I hold a regular meeting of up to 15 people at a bourbon bar where we discuss topics normally considered inappropriate.
I vary my running from 2 nights a week to 3 depending on how I want my weight to be. I work out most nights, before and short spurts during work. So, if I run like I used to (5-6 nights a week) I get too lean. People in the past here have questioned my ability to change my physique from 155 leaned out runner to 195 and competing in a strongman competition. It's attainable when you have a gym right next to your office and you can work out 3 times during your work day and before and after work.
Oh yeah, I have a wife that likes it when I sit on the couch and watch youtube with her head in my lap. I read right before I go to sleep and while I brush my teeth. Nonfiction only. Travel about once a quarter, before it was normally to California now it is primarily to the south.
Yep, that's most of my freetime. I still cruise on my skateboard from time to time. In California, I will bring my board and cruise down long bike paths on the beach.

Play with kids and hangout with my wife. Love to cook. Try to workout 4-5 times a week. This, but I don’t workout anymore. We go on walks/hikes with the kids, I do push-ups once in a while when I feel like a piece of shit, but that’s about it. Don’t go to the gym anymore, but I eat well most of the time and cut way back on my beer intake, so I’m not ballooning up. Maintaining a nice dad bod though! Netflix and chill, video games with my daughter, wrestling with both kids, walks/hikes/getting outside as much as possible, the odd date night when we can land a sitter..typical family stuff.

Please tell me you are not a Crossfitter I am always choosing hotels now based on how nice the gym is or on whether there is a gym close. Next week I am signing up with an NZ gym franchise just because I am there so often. So far this year I am down 23kg in weight.

I got a puppy a few weeks ago so he is taking up a lot of my time!
I watch TV most nights after work, and play soccer twice a week.

I work outside and the Texas heat is killing me. So when I do do things I like for it to be in the ac movies, dancing, Astros. I bought a 14 acre jungle a few years ago. I enjoy jumping on my bulldozer and pushing trees.

Yeah I'm lazy now in my downtime. I work all the time so about the only workout I get or want to get is couch surfing or my thumb clicking the remote.

I’m lazy in my free time and when I do have it I’m mostly just chilling out at home watching stuff on Netflix or any of the other streaming services I have, playing video games, lounging about and listening to music or podcasts. When I’m not doing that I do go out and hang out with friends, and lately I like to go to a lot of local wrestling shows.

Bike ride...and I don't mean some stationary bike bull shit, I mean an actual bicycle. I try to get an hour or maybe a bit more in every day. I just pop in my ear buds and listen to a podcast and time goes by fairly quickly. It's the physical activity I mind doing the absolute least. Ass gets a little sore from the seat but meh. And yes I have tried different seats. In the end they all end up hurting after awhile.
PS4/Movies/Tv...you know, just general entertainment. There is a lot of this going on, probably too much but it's true. I'm a junkie for the idiot box.
Then hang out with my daughter and her baby and help with all that stuff.
And I occasionally go on a date but it's becoming more and more rare these days. I find relationships exhausting and take away from me doing the shit that I actually like doing.
