THE FINALS
NOBI
The final Best Of The Best event shall unfold as the single biggest ever in the history of this realm that was created by an Eternal Championship Council, a realm that was created to reignite a flame within the human spirit that had gone extinguished across the vast multiverse. The flames had turned to embers left glowing in the dark. At one time those flames burned hotter than the sun, that time was 1998 when the WWF and WCW battled for supremacy. Both leagues went head to head on Monday nights and their war reached a boiling point as their two most dominant stars reached their apex in the Summer of 1998...
WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg, undefeated buzzsaw that ran through the entire WCW roster on an unprecedented 157-0 winning streak including defeating Hollywood Hogan in the Georgia Dome to win the strap in July of 98. Goldberg was taken from this time and brought to the Best Of The Best realm by the Eternal Championship Council and he has continued on his undefeated run, capturing the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship Of The World by defeating Ken Shamrock at Best Of The Best V. Goldberg defended the title by defeating The Eternal Warrior in his toughest challenge at Best Of The Best VI and he legitimized his claim as the BADDEST MOTHERFUCKER ON EARTH when he decimated prime undefeated 1988 Mike Tyson in a hybrid rules bout at Best Of The Best VII.
What happens... when THE unstoppable force...
...Meets a Rattlesnake... that REFUSES to die...
The Baddest Man On The Planet....
The Toughest Son Of A Bitch....

The Baddest Man On The Planet....
The Toughest Son Of A Bitch....
Live on a neutral site in Las Vegas, Best Of The Best presents Austin vs Goldberg, prime vs prime, one on one, WWF World Champion vs WCW World Champion at their peaks from the Summer 1998. There will be no shenanigans, there will be no run ins or interference, there WILL be a decisive winner. The match was not officially signed to be no disqualifications but it has been made perfectly clear that there will be a positive finish in this match, nobody will be getting counted out or disqualified for using chairs, ring steps, or uncovering the padding from a turnbuckle. The only way to win this match will be by pinfall or submission or until somebody can no longer continue. This is the ultimate match of the century from a time when the fire of pro wrestling was burning at it's absolute hottest. This is Austin vs Goldberg live in Las Vegas with all the glitz and glam that comes along with it, all the media coverage from every outlet across the globe, from ESPN to USA Today to the New York Times, EVERYTHING from Japan to London to Australia, all eyes around the world will converge on Las Vegas for Best Of The Best VIII: AUSTIN VS GOLDBERG!!!
The co-main event will be an equally high profile contest due to the build up in the promos on the weekly Best Of The Best episodic television show as the feud between Macho Man Randy Savage and The Rock has reached a new level of microphone greatness. Macho Man from his prime form as WWF World Champion in 1988 will showdown against The Rock at his peak of WWF popularity and in-ring ability in 2002. Both men will be interviewed in their locker rooms prior to the match and the heat will be undeniable after the incident that unfolded at the press conference where Savage smacked The Rock in the mouth. The two brawled before being separated but the Madness was unleashed as Savage attacked multiple security guards that were trying to hold him back, piledriving one of them onto a steel chair. Both Savage and The Rock have made it clear that they have a chip on their shoulders about being in the co-main event slot, both men believe they ARE the main event and will be fighting to make a statement and steal the show as they electrify the MGM Grand Garden Arena! OH YEEEEAAAH! DIG IT!
The second co-main event of the evening is the ultimate clash between the most popular boxer and the most popular wrestler of the 1980's in a showdown where the Best Of The Best realm turns the clock back to 1989, Hulk Hogan in his peak against Mike Tyson in his peak, with Hogan returning to the style of match that initially made him a household name when he wrestled Rocky in Rocky III.
The MGM Grand Garden Arena will be abuzz for Mike Tyson when he steps in the ring with The Hulkster for what will surely be a match that will turn Las Vegas UPSIDE DOWN!!! This will not be a shoot style hybrid rules bout this will be a pure sports entertainment spectacle of the purest form, in a tribute to the classic boxer vs wrestler exhibitions throughout history, THIS is the ultimate 1980's dream match!!! HOGAN VS TYSON!!!
The third co-main event will be the final showdown between The Eternal Warrior and the dark forces known as "The Nothing". The Warrior's ongoing saga with The Nothing has been a journey filled with holograms, time paradoxes, lightning bolts, and subterfuge. Pentagon Jr's use of time paradoxes to summon the Road Warriors '84, Hogan '98, and Savage '90 failed after the group was defeated by "The Mega Power Maniacs" that seen Warrior, LOD, Savage, and Hogan defeat their evil doppelgangers once and for all in a War Games match on Best Of The Best TV. Warrior finally made good on his promise to undo the original time paradox he created by going back in time and stopping himself from going back in time to stop Hulkamania before it ever began. Warrior succeeded and the hopes and dreams of an entire generation was restored in their original timeline. What happened next was a glitch in the matrix, proven by the actual formatting glitches seen on this forum. Matt Hardy's 2000 timeline was somehow hacked by his future 2016 self, "Broken" Matt Hardy.
Broken Matt's attempt to delete his brother Jeff somehow linked with The Nothing, which had now become self aware. Broken Matt Hardy became one with The Nothing, the living embodiment, The Nothing Incarnate. Through this Broken Matt took the powers of Pentagon Jr. after turning on him in a tag match against Hayabusa & Jeff Hardy on Best Of The Best TV. Now Broken Matt Hardy had the power to travel through time, giving him the ability to collect the 7 "Falcons Of Eons" that were spread out hidden across the multiverse. If Broken Matt Hardy can obtain all 7 of the Falcons Of Eons he will obtain the secrets of the Eternal Championship Council and the ability to DELETE all of existence. Hardy has already collected 4 of the Falcons Of Eons but now The Eternal Warrior stands in his way to stop him from gaining the final 3. The final battle will be on in an Eternal Deletion, Broken Matt Hardy vs The Eternal Warrior with the fate of the multiverse on the line!
The undercard is stacked with huge matches that could main event the MGM Grand Garden Arena on their own, including 2 major title matches. The Legion Of Doom overcame their evil 1984 doppelgangers after defeating the young Hardy Boyz to regain the Best Of The Best Undisputed World Tag Titles for the second time, becoming the only 2 time Tag Champs ever in BOTB history. The greatest tag team of all time will defend their titles in a NO DQ Match against the greatest tag team in PW Fan Fiction history, BUSHIDO!, the team that dominated the ECW: The 2001 WWF Buyout/2002 (R)Evolution universe, an alternate universe where Hayabusa never broke his neck and carried the FMW torch in a brilliant run in the USA. Hayabusa and Jinsei Shinzaki will reunite to face the LOD in a dream tag match between the 2 best tag teams in Best Of The Best history!
The Unified Undisputed Light Heavyweight/X-Division titles were won by Jerry Lynn in a shocking upset over Owen Hart and Jushin "Thunder" Liger at Best Of The Best VII. Lynn put on one of the best matches of the night in a losing performance against Owen for the vacant Light Heavyweight Title back at Best Of The Best V but he was able to rebound by winning a gutsy comeback victory over Jinsei Shinzaki at Best Of The Best VI. Owen had previously been unbeaten in the Best Of The Best realm with a victory over Lynn to win the Light Heayweight Title and then a victory over World X-Division Champ Jushin "Thunder" Liger to unify the titles at Best Of The Best VI. Now Owen Hart and Jerry Lynn both have pinfalls over each other, each being their only losses in the Best Of The Best realm. Jerry Lynn enters their third meeting as the defending Unified Champion in what will be the deciding 30 Minute Ironman Match! Both men have been shown pushing it to the limit in training montages and vignettes on BOTB TV leading up to the grueling match, with Jerry Lynn setting up training camp back in Minnesota while Owen returned to the Hart Family Dungeon. This is the match that many feel could steal the show!
The MGM Grand Garden Arena will be taken to the EXTREME when a roll of barbed wire is suspended above the ring for the STAIRWAY TO HELL MATCH! Jeff Hardy and Pentagon Jr will face off in the climax of their bitter feud in one of the most brutal match types known to pro wrestling. The wrestlers will battle it out over a ladder to get the barbed wire and use against each other in a fight to the finish! Styles make fights in an interesting showdown between Ken Shamrock and Yoshihiro Tajiri in the Lions Den match. Tajiri destroyed Shamrock with help from the Guerrillas Of Destiny in their match on BOTB TV recently. Now Shamrock will get the Japanese Buzzsaw inside the ominous Lions Den steel cage set up in the MGM Grand Garden Arena and there will be NO WAY OUT!
Juventud Guerrera and Jushin "Thunder" Liger will put their masks on the line in a Luchas De Apuestas confrontation bringing sensational high flying Lucha Libre to the MGM Grand Garden Arena LIVE in Las Vegas! The two men traded victories on BOTB TV recently with their respect for one another thrown out the window during the heated rematch. Now everything will be on the line when Juvy faces off against Liger in one final match with everything at stake! The PPV opener will be a wild ECW style Falls Count Anywhere brawl between the unlikely due of Raven & Tommy Dreamer against the Guerrillas Of Destiny! Raven and Dreamer destroyed each other in their Exploding Barbed Wire Time Bomb Death Match at Best Of The Best VII. Dreamer left Raven laying in the middle of the ring as the explosion timer counted down. Dreamer could not find it in his heart to leave Raven to die after the beating he had given him, so he raced back into the ring and shielded him from the blast. Both men were hospitalized with burns and lacerations from the brutal match and when it was all said and done there was no more hatred for one another in either man's hearts.
Tommy Dreamer became a target of The Nothing when he made his comeback. The Guerrillas Of Destiny held him down for Raven to attack him but Raven turned his back and walked out on them. The G.O.D. attacked Raven the next week on BOTB TV until Tommy Dreamer came out to make the save. Tommy challenged the G.O.D. to face him on the next week's episode of BOTB TV. Dreamer asked Raven to be his tag team partner but Raven walked out on him without answering him. When the match came Dreamer was forced to face the G.O.D. by himself. The G.O.D. had Dreamer beat until Raven made a surprise run in to make the save. Raven scored the pin after a DDT but the G.O.D. destroyed both Raven and Dreamer with chairs after the bout. Now the match has been made official, Hell has frozen over! Raven has agreed to partner with Tommy Dreamer to fight the Guerrillas Of Destiny in an ECW style match where falls count anywhere in the MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA!!!
The stage is set for the ultimate fan fiction show ever in the history of PW. The MGM Grand Garden Arena will be the site of the biggest spectacle imaginable, a 4 hour super spectacular sensational event of the grandest magnitude. This is it! The Eternal Championship Council presents the grand finale, BEST OF THE BEST VIII: GOLDBERG VS AUSTIN!!!

THE SHOW
SHOWDOWN Championship Wrestling: 90’s vs NOW
{Premise}The 90’s were a time where things were much simpler. It was a time when you’d gather in the living room with family members or friends and watch classic shows like Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Friends, and Ren and Stimpy. A time where listening to music meant going out to the local music store and buying CDs or cassette tapes of your favorite artists like Nirvana, Pantera, and Tu Pac. Watching wrestling meant recording shows of your favorite promotion and trading these tapes among your friends to watch the latest episodes of Hardcore TV. Nowadays everyone is occupied by technology. Whether it’s binge watching tv shows on your iPad streaming countless amounts of music directly from your phone, or tweeting celebrities on social media, nobody has time for social interactions anymore. Even wrestling has changed since then. Gone are competition. Now everyone can watch archives of multiple wrestling shows at their discretion due to the WWE Network. The fun of the tape trading days is over. Everything is sanitized and convenient. I thought it would be fun to take the best wrestlers of the 90’s and the best wrestlers of the 00’s – two completely different eras – and battle it out to determine once and for all the better era.
SCW Heavyweight Championship – CM Punk © vs Shawn Michaels
{Spoiler}Ever since coming to SCW, CM Punk has lived up to his moniker of being the best in the world. He has had a stranglehold of the Heavyweight Champion and defeated every big name in the promotion. His latest challenger needs no introduction. To some, he is the showstopper and the headliner. To others, he is known as Mr. Wrestlemania. Amongst his peers, he is called the GOAT. Shawn Michaels is returning to pro wrestling because he feels the champion has a major ego problem (the irony). Truth be told, both CM Punk and Shawn Michaels are known to be controversial and polarizing figures backstage. It’s fair to say they neither of their egos will ever let them live it down if they fail to win this match. Even with the title, CM Punk is a paranoid individual with a chip on his shoulder to still prove all his doubters wrong. Shawn Michaels has been happily retired for years now but has flirted with making a return to pro wrestling for several years. Now with CM Punk being the top guy in the wrestling world and Shawn Michaels disagreeing with everything he stands for, now is the right time. CM Punk refuses to allow another Klique member to mess with his career while Shawn Michaels is determined to prove why he is the showstopper and the headliner. Does HBK have one more show-stealing performance in him?
Generational Technical Wrestlers - Daniel Bryan vs Bret Hart
{Spoiler}Daniel Bryan and Bret Hart are two of the most well regarded and technically sound wrestlers of any generation. Both guys are fan favorites of their eras and were both passed over by management for the bodybuilders and giants of the wrestling world. But neither could be denied and both men reached the pinnacle of the WWE; ultimately resulting in winning the WWE heavyweight championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. Daniel Bryan and Bret Hart were brought up the “right way” and possess similar skills. This will without a doubt be a mat classic and the match pretty much sells itself.
Battle of the Behemoths - Brock Lesnar vs Big Van Vader
{Spoiler}This dream match has become a fan favorite and somewhat cliché over the years. The greatest big man to ever throw down in the squared circle and the greatest physical specimen and athlete in wrestling history. In the 90’s, Vader squared off against and defeated a who’s who list of wrestlers in the three biggest promotions of the decade: WWF, WCW, and AJPW. The list includes Ric Flair, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Kenta Kobashi, and Mitsuharu Misawa. Since making his debut in 2002 and returning to WWE in 2012 to make his mark, Brock has slain some of most renown giants of the 21st century. The list includes Big Show, Mark Henry, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and The Undertaker. His biggest achievement to date was famously ending the undefeated WrestleMania streak of the Undertaker back in 2014. During his break with the WWE in the mid-2000’s, Brock joined the UFC where he became the reigning, defending, undisputed UFC heavyweight champion of the world. Despite all of those accomplishments, his next challenge may be his toughest. Can Brock Lesnar add to his list of slain giants when he takes on Big Van Vader at the next Showdown PPV?
The Undertaker vs Samoa Joe
{Spoiler}
Samoa Joe has been putting fools to sleep since he debuted in ROH way back win. His punishing and relentless style made him successful in various stops around the world. He failed to defend his longtime rival CM Punk for the title and set out on a warpath to challenge the one guy he’s never had a chance to face; none other than The Undertaker. Week after week, Samoa Joe has been choking out opponents, mocking Taker with the throat slash and rolling of the eyes, and begging him to appear. One night in Texas, the lights turned off and rumble of thunder could be heard. Smoke slowly began to appear from the titantron and the infamous gong hit. Out came Undertaker who stared eye to eye with Samoa Joe for what felt like an eternity before gesturing his famous throat slash. Before he could finish, however, Joe headbutted the Undertaker and viscously choked him out. Now it is time to put up or shut up for Samoa Joe. Can he choke out and beat the Deadman when it counts or will The Undertaker add Samoa Joe to the long list of victims who called the Deadman out only to be silenced?

Texas Death Match - Cactus Jack vs Dean Ambrose
{Spoiler}Dean Ambrose grew up idolizing Mick Foley. He watched Mick Foley throw himself off cages and put his body through unbearable punishment and thought it was the coolest thing ever. When he grew up, he wanted to become just like Mick. He emulated the graphic violence and dangerous stunts that made Mick a legend. Glass, barbwire, thumbtacks. You name it and Dean Ambrose did it. Once he realized his dream and made it to the WWE, his body was a wreck. By trying to make it to the big leagues and be like his idol, he racked up numerous injuries. Because of the years of putting his body through punishment, he was not the performer he once was. It was then that he realized that punishing his body was not worth it. In a scathing promo where he called out his idol, he ended his speech with two words: “Thanks Mick”. Essentially, he blamed Foley for his body being a mess and for glorifying that type of wrestling. He called out the Hardcore Legend and challenged him to a fight to punish him for what he made famous. Ultimately, Mick accepted in the form of Cactus Jack but asked Dean to be careful what he wished for. The hardcore legend of the 90’s takes on the guy implemented his style in the 2000’s in a Texas Death match. Two men enter the war zone. One escapes with his legacy (and body) intact.
90’s vs Now Survivor Series Elimination Match:
Team 90’s: Kane, X-Pac, Bam Bam Bigelow, RVD, and Sabu vs Team NOW: Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Christopher Daniels, and War Machine
{Spoiler}This match will determine which generation will have bragging rights over having the more talented competitors. Team 90’s features the tag team of X-Pac and Kane, one of the most agile big men in history Bam Bam Bigelow, and two of the most iconic ECW wrestlers in history – RVD and Sabu. Team NOW is composed of three of the best pure talents in the ring in Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, and Christopher Daniels. Along with these accomplished athletes are one of the most devastating tag teams in the world today: War Machine! This match is more than just about pride; it is about proving once and for all which generation is better.
Aleister Black vs Psicosis
{Spoiler}The opening bout of the final Showdown event pits two of the more versatile performers in the industry. Psicosis is one of the greatest high flyers in history making a name for himself in nearly every major company in the world. Since his debut, Aleister Black has been perfect. No one has been able to solve this puzzle yet. He has the ability to knock people out with one kick and showcases an array of strikes, kicks, and submissions in his arsenal.
