Seems like a needed fix when most of the All-Stars are now in the western conference. Hopefully it makes the games a little more fun as well. I'm ready for Team LeBron versus Team Durant/Curry. Which is usually the finals as well.

No one will still play defense. So it sounds like it just going to be the same boring game with a different format. The East is pretty thin these days, so I can understand the decision.

I think it's great. It adds new drama and honestly, it should be done on LIVE television during the same broadcast as the Slam Dunk Contest and 3 point shoot out.
The Captains should stand on opposite ends of the court and the rest of the All Stars should stay in the middle. The captains should then live-select who they want on their team and have that player join them on their side of the court. It would add drama and humor and I would love to see the faces of the guys being skipped.
If they're picking behind the scenes, then I don't care for it. I want to see this shit go down. Like street ball.

The team draft better happen on tv. The NHL has done it before with plenty of hilarious drama that came with it.

I doubt this format will make this all star game "competitive" but it will make it somewhat entertaining, and interesting especially if they which they should, and better show the draft on TV. Personally, I like to see they try different formats every year something new every year for the all star game.
