WWE 2K18 (PS4)
Because I'm a sucker, who'll give in, and eventually buy the game.

South Park and Gran Turismo. The gameplay videos for South Park just look so good. It really looks like they've gone forward.

WWE 2K18 (PS4) Because I'm a sucker, who'll give in, and eventually buy the game. Said I wouldn't buy this, I barely played the last one. However, the arena creation could sucker me back in. I can send more time in the creative space than actually playing it.

Probably will gamefly South Park. The difficulty setting is pretty funny.

Above all else, I'm interested in Odyssey. Despite the breath-taking atmosphere of the Galaxy series, I've always had a soft spot for the freedom you would find in games like 64 and Sunshine. Since the release of Breath of the Wild, Nintendo have made a real effort to give the players more freedom and it's exciting to see where that takes the Mario series. If you had have told me as a 5-year old that there would be a thinly veiled Jurassic Park x Super Mario crossover my mind would have exploded. That or I would have been immediately reminded of the cheesy 90s movie.
As for Mario & Luigi, I'm going to be sticking with the GBA original. I've read about some of the changes they've made and it seems like Nintendo stripped a lot of personality out of the game. A lot of character models were replaced by bland looking Koopas and Goombas and the gameplay overall is too easy. Mario and Luigi games were never difficult, so taking it down another notch signals Nintendo's intention to appeal to a much younger market.
It's been a long time since I've been able to execute a body-slam with a Sony controller. From what I can see, WWE 2K18 still seems to have the same rigid lifeless animations of it's predecessors and the AI still seems as dumb as ever. However, it has been 5 years since my last wrestling game and since that was my favourite genre growing up, there's interest there so I'm looking forward to your impressions.

South Park and Mario for me. I loved Stick of Truth and have full faith in getting a great sequel and I haven't played a 3D Mario since Super Mario 64....

Edge gave Super Mario Odyssey a 10. The publication is really behind the Switch. So far Breath of the Wild (10), ARMS (9), Splatoon 2 (8) and Mario & Rabbids (9) have all scored well and with Odyssey joining them the Switch has been a hit with critics. It's just a question of how Nintendo plans on keeping that momentum. After Odyssey, the future doesn't look that bright. From the sounds of it, Odyssey is the game I've been waiting for since 64. A game filled with creativity and exploration that gives Mario more power-ups than he knows what to do with. Like Breath of the Wild, it seems like Nintendo have gone back to the drawing board to see what makes these series tick. Breath of the Wild was really the first game since the original Ocarina of Time that filled me with a similar sense of awe. Also, Summon Night 6: Lost Borders has been delayed AGAIN until October 31st. Don't be surprised if it's pushed back to November. At this point, I may have to buy the game for the novelty. Soon...
