My predictions:

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Saquon Barkley 
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Derwin James 
Comeback Player of the Year: Aaron Rodgers 
Coach of the Year: Doug Pederson 


Other predictions: 
Sleeper offensive rookie: Kalen Ballage , RB , Dolphins (also love Valdes-Scantling for GB)
Sleeper defensive rookie: Josh Jackson , DB , Packers 
Breakout offensive skill guy: Chris Godwin , WR , Buccaneers  (also love Keenan Cole in Jax)
Breakout defensive player:

First off, I want to say fuck Jerick McKinnon. Fuck him for being my 3rd round pick in my money league on Friday night and fuck him for tearing his ACL the next night on the final play of practice! Fuck!


Also, the Raiders released Martavis Bryant and Bills released Corey Coleman. Wild releases, but two dudes who thought they were better then they actually were.

With Mack gone, I don't think the Raiders are gonna contend this year.

They wouldn't have with him, let's be honest.

It's been a horrible offseason - I feel for any real Raider fans how after so many poor years they finally looked like they had a glimmer only for it to be extinguished so quickly with injuries and bad decisions. The best case scenario now is really a complete tank to start a rebuild in Las Vegas but that's going to be scant consolation for the locals who thought they might be getting a challenging team for the last couple of seasons in Oakland.

Getting two first round picks for someone you didn't want to pay isn't so bad, but trading your best player is never a good look. 

Success in the NFL has been skewing progressively younger and younger, yet the Raiders now have a coach who was out of the job for 10 years, and has compiled one of the oldest rosters the league has ever seen whilst engaging in a childish power struggle with the GM. It's set up to become even more of a shambles.

On the contrary, I think it was a good move for both teams. The Bears get there defensive stud of the future along with all the youth that D already holds. Chicago gets to be Chicago in football, again. Savage defense.

For Gruden, he gets to start the franchise the way he wants to start it. Two straight years of two first round picks. And I bet you this was done so they can sign Leveon Bell next season. I called it from the start. The Raiders will throw money at Bell and start building through the draft. If Cooper don’t show up this season, he’ll be shipped away next.

I'd rather have Mack than Bell. 🤷

That’s a no brainer.

I can’t help but agree that Gruden is ruining the Raiders.

So let me clarify; as a GM of a team, what would you rather have?

A- Khalil Mack and TWO first round picks in 2 years

OR

B- Leveon Bell and FOUR first round picks in 2 years


If you’re picking A, you’re losing your job and your full of shit. 100% of time you take choice B.

I would have paid Mack before Gruden if I had cashflow issues and I wouldn't pay Bell 15+per on a multi year contract.

And I also wouldn't have any confidence in Gruden turning those first round picks into anything great. I think he has one hit with Aqib Talib and that's about it. Give me the HOF player in his prime over the unknown.

And Aqib Talib wasn't even a hit until he left Gruden if I remember correctly.

Look at the Raiders drafting history and tell me how much those first rounders are worth. Mack was their one hit , the one guy they've drafted that has shown the ability to be a transcendent HOF level player and they let him walk.

I mean I could understand the salary argument more than anything , but not if you are going to allocate that to paying Bell instead. Bell who has a TON of miles on him and is simply playing out his last contract.

Can't wait for Peterman to throw an INT on his first play of the game and Buffalo gets crushed by Baltimore 35-3.

Gonna be a fun season.

Lets be honest, the Raiders D was shit every year WITH Mack and there was no reason to believe it wasn't going to be shit again this year.    I don't blame Gruden ne bit for the trade, if your defense is going to suck anyway take the first round picks and avoid taking the cap hit.   My only real problem with the trade is Gruden giving the Bears a 2nd rounder.   The Bears getting Mack should have been enough, we're talking about a top 2-3 defender in the league here.

They swapped a second for a third so not really a big deal.

I was fairly blown away by the news that the Rams made a legitimate play for Mack. Imagine him with Donald, Suh and Brockers. 😮

The Rams are really going for it , no way could they have afforded to pay him though. They had to shift everything around to get the Donald deal done.



FOOTBALL IS BACK TONIGHT!

I'm not sure how to think about the opener , there is so much turnover on this team that it's going to be interesting to see how fast they come together - especially on defense. That and the Packers typically open in a wonky fashion and it's a rivalry game.

I don't see a logical reason how Trubisky is going to go into Lambeau , on opening night in primetime and beat Aaron Rodgers. So that means it probably will.

Logically I think this game is over by the third quarter.

Tonight’s game is going to be so exciting. I can’t wait to see real, meaningful football. I miss it.

I think the Falcons win this one 27-17. I have to stand by my preseason predictions and without Wentz and Jeffrey, I don’t think this team beats ATL. They barely did in the playoffs. I expect huge games from Julio and Ertz, though.

Oh wonderful. The opening game of the NFL season is having a lightning delay. FUCK! I'M READY FOR FOOTBALL!

Ahh man a 45 minute delay means I will probably be going into a meeting right at the end of the game. 😒

Any bold predictions for tonight?

Probably a night for the running backs if the conditions are bad. Freeman and Coleman to put up 200 yards combined.

I still stand by Julio and Ertz having huge nights, but I have a feeling Clement outperforms Ajayi and Coleman outperforms Freeman.

Also, MGK a dead man walking, amirite?

Haven't really been paying attention, Em's act was old about 10 years ago. 

Same old Falcons offence, fantastic until the red zone. Been their Achilles heel for a while now and their first drive of the season ends with them failing to punch it in over the goal line on four attempts.

Can't believe the Falcons couldn't get it into the end zone. SMH.

If the Falcons fail to put up 7 here again, then this is going to be a huge in-season issue.
