I'll be honest, I watched the Broken Universe stuff featuring Broken Matt Hardy & Brother Nero etc and I really didn't find it good at all and still to this day fail to see what all the hype was about.
I really hope WWE don't eventually get the rights to the Broken universe as I can't see them allowing Matt and Jeff any creative opportunities like TNA did with it and the WWE creative team wouldn't have a clue what to do with it and make it worse than it was.
Personally I liked the old Matt Hardy Version 1.0 who came out with Matt facts and had his little MF'rs (mattitude followers) Shannon Moore & Crash Holly and found that character more entertaining than any of the broken stuff or Team Xtreme where he is basically 2nd fiddle to Jeff Hardy.
What character of Matt Hardy did you prefer?

Man, that's a tough call. Both were unique and great. I'll give Broken Matt the slight nod. It's a little fresher in my mind and a little more unique.
Maybe one day WWE will bring back Broken Matt....
With Broken Matt Facts!
Nah. Will never happen.

Broken Matt and that entire universe are 1 of the best things in wrestling TV in decades. Everyone played a part and made things a must watch.

The thing is people respond more to broken Matt to the point where he may actually be more popular than Jeff. Something that couldn't be said back when they were having their single runs. I kind of like this Matt, normal but gives some slight nods to those who remember Broken Matt.

Broken Matt somehow seems more natural than normal Matt to me. The evolution of the character has been so wonderful to watch, from the absurd beginnings when no one was sure it was going to work and Matt just seemed a little out of his mind, to the Broken Hardys tag team run where it got straight up supernatural at times but never lost its tongue in cheek spirit. It's made Matt the more popular Hardy possibly for the first time ever and reinvented his career at an age where many guys would be slowing down and outright retiring. The Broken universe might be the greatest thing Matt Hardy will ever do in his career.

Big Money/Iconic Matt from RoH and TNA. Just a completely delusional dickwaffle who's totally overvalued himself.

I'll always have a soft spot and preference for the original V1, but Broken Facts might need to happen. Even if it's only a one-off, short-lived fan fiction project.

I also loved V1 Matt and I found most of his incarnations just a fraction less enjoyable at the very least. It's just that Broken Matt so great it engulfs everything else to an extent.

If you just comparing Matt then I liked Version 1 better. But as a whole I found the Broken Universe more entertaining. He was the leader but Jeff, Reby, Senor Benjamin, and Vanguard one all help make it great.

I didn't really catch any of the Broken Matt stuff to answer the question...but all I can think about when I see Matt on TV these days is how uncoordinated he looks in the ring. I think it's always been there but has become very, very apparent in recent years.

There is no Matt Hardy that I have ever enjoyed. But the Broken Matt is the worst. What is that busted accent?
