Rams are going to use Gurley to eat the clock and kick a field goal to ice it.

Gurley had the first down on that second down run surely! That looked like a horrible spot.

Ref seemed to jam the hell out of Gurley on that spot, really wish they had replayed it.

God fucking damn it. It happened and it happened to Buffalo. Hughes had a sack and actually had Mariota wrapped, but he let up to avoid taking a penalty. Mariota faked a throw but held onto the ball thinking he was going down, but when Hughes let up Mariota stayed on his feet and got a pass off. It was incomplete but fucking still. It finally happened. If the NFL is going to continue to baby QB's like this then in the grasp needs to come back. The rules as they are now are completely unfair to defenders.

Watson is looking really good tonight. Barely thrown an incompletion and is doing a lot of pre-snap work. Might want to avoid those suicide runs down at the goal line going forward though...

Wow horrible playcall there on fourth down at the goal line from BoB.
Great play from Jaylon Smith playing QB spy though. He's got some impressive wheels.

Awesome day of football today. Especially fantasy football wise for me.
I don’t know how you don’t just run it in from the one. That 4th and gol miss might give the Cowboys another lucky win. Crazy how teams can’t punch it in from the one yard line.

Now THAT is a goalline play, misdirection with pre-snap motions to throw the defence off. Cowboys take the lead.

More poor red zone work from the Texans. How many times are they going to call these designed Watson runs to the outside when the Dallas linebackers clearly have it contained?

Houston should have walked away with that game really, those goalline series were just laughable, but boy was it worth it in the end for those two unbelievable plays down the stretch. Dak's ridiculous escape and bomb to Austin, and then that brilliant play by Hopkins to win the game - spectacular stuff.

Fuck it might be jumping the gun too soon but Hopkins has overtaken Andre Johnson as best WR in Houston franchise history. Just fucking wow. Best player on the team, way to fucking attack the ball.

Watson seems to enjoy the physical battles. Dangerous approach but he's a tough fucker for sure.
We really need an offensive coordinator. Defense was good though.

C'mon that's just disrespectful. In his prime Andre was arguably the most complete receiver in the league. He could burn you deep, move the chains, run over you or around you and was an outstanding blocker. He was also ridiculously productive with 60+ catches in his first 8 seasons (first WR to ever do that) and 7 1000 yd + seasons. Hopkins still has a LONG way to go before he can be compared to the likes of Andre Johnson.

I don't know whether he can block or not because meh - but I see Hopkins doing that stuff too (literally all in this game tonight). I don't think it's a ridiculous comparison at all. Longevity is really the only thing that you can clearly say he hasn't got yet.
The best thing about Hopkins is probably that he's proven he's QB proof. That's something that for as good as Antonio Brown and Julio Jones are, can't.

Brown's been great with Landry fucking Jones of all scrubs, Hopkins not having as good of a QB on average doesn't really have him doing anything they aren't, QB's are still putting it in the right spot to do what he does, and all 3 save bad passes on the reg.

Sustained production with numerous bad quarterbacks absolutely means more than a few games with a backup!

Man that was such a great win and great game. This part of Texas i live in now was so hyped about Dallas 2 years ago when Dak and Zeke got hot, now they got to bow down to the best in Texas, we got the best qb in Texas Watson is going to be twice the qb that Dak will ever be. All the Rangers fans around here got to see Astros bring 2 World Series to Texas and now see the Texans pass up the Cowboys, everybody round here got their head up Dallas' ass Houston is real Texas not Dallas.

If you can produce with Landry Jones, you can produce anywhere. All of Hopkins' QB's have been at least that good, Landry couldn't start on any of those Texas teams. You can really only measure what the WR's themselves are doing, and there's nothing really to indicate they'd do any worse given the same circumstances, route running, big play, hands...Hop is great, but hasn't shown anything they haven't. Hopkins is also consistently fed amongst or near the top of the league, so clearly his QB's do something right, a worse QB putting the ball in the right spot isn't worth any less.
I do think Hop could overtake Brown in the long run though, once Brown's speed goes, his height could become an issue...I see him settling into a Hines Ward role later in his career, unless he somehow keeps that speed up.

Hopkins isn't quarterback proof , he was rendered pretty ineffective during that Brock Osweiler year. I know he still had 900 yards but he wasn't remotely the same.
