Baker the set up with the hard cam on the entrance is because they usually run the same venue two nights in a row. If they have a small crowd the focus is on the stage and not empty seats.

Masha (who was drafted buy team bodyslam in fan fiction draft) was originally built up as a Russian badass. Then the war started and she got changed to just a badass. Don't let her looks fool you.

Alexander nearly had a Mick Foley like moment and almost lost a ear in a match. Thus the head gear. He's kind of the Canadian Kurt Angle. (also drafted by team bodyslam in FF draft)

As far as Emergence goes it was more of a In Your House type ppv rather than a big four like ppv. Overall it was ok. I can say I got my $5 worth vs $40+ for a bigger ppv.

Baker if you were not happy and got this event through Impact+ or youtube don't forget to cancel your subscription. It will automatically renew monthly.

If you did get it through plus or youtube the subscription is good for a month. So take advantage of the older stuff and new stuff as well.

Thanks for the commentary bodyslam. I watched it for free on a site c mentioned a while back. Didn't like the bush league production or closing stretch of the women's match, but Alexander/Shelley was going along nicely, though I'll admit to getting distracted talking to myself in the Impact thread and then having my mind wander. Sick finish tho. Also wish Shelley would have won because I'm old and became a fan of his way back in 2004. Can't promise I'll watch again, but if you pester me enough...

Finally caught up and other than the predictability of the main event this weeks show was a lot better than last weeks. Even Gisele vs Rosemary on BTI was good.

The Lucha + Trey 4 way was fun. A little late but look like they finally may be pushing Black Taurus.

I enjoyed Zicky Dice's back stage segment. Impact should really consider him for the DMC.

Kenny K-I-N-G King vs Heath is what it is but DDHeath seems to be over with the live crowd.

Savannah vs Killer Kelly was better than expected even though there was a bad spot or two. Still not sure if Kelly is a face or heel.

Bailey vs Bey was really good. Did not really agree with the ending. I would have let it go to a 10 minute draw and build off it.

Bhupinder and Myers for the DMV seems to still be a thing.

The Eddie Edwards vs Sami Callihan vs Steve Maclin vs Bandido vs Rich Swann vs Moose Number One Contenders Six Man Elimination Match was good. Predictable but good.

Overall a good show.

Joe Doering's brain cancer has returned. He'll be taking time off for treatment

Hoping for nothing but the best for the big guy. 

Damn, that sucks, hopefully he'll be able to overcome it.

More Kenny K-I-N-G King please. His match last week with Speedball was really good. Too bad it had a Dusty like finish. Then this week his back stage segment Scott and Mia Yim was fun. Talking smack about Mia and her husband. Calling Speedball a crackhead. Then Mia getting involved in his match makes me curious if Mr. Mia Yim (Keith Lee) will eventually show up.

I really don't like the direction of Chris Bey. He's a great young talent Impact should be building for the future but for some reason he keeps taking the pin. I don't know anything about his contract status but I hope he's not on the way out.

The Eddie/Josh feud has been flat to me. It went from Eddie being mad at Josh for stealing his spotlight & feeling like he had to turn to Honor No More to asking Josh to join them. Something got lost in translation. I don't get why Eddie is bugging PCO at all.

Apparently, Raven is going into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame, not sure when this was announced but I only found out tonight.

Raven had a heck of a run in IW cementing his place as a legend. He earned this.

BFG was not bad and all of the matches delivered. Couple of unexpected wins and losses. While the main event was really good the lack of hype surrounding it brought it down.

I believe this is because the story they were attempting to tell was disjointed. It went from Eddie being mad at Josh for in his mind, being chosen to bring the title back to the company. To Eddie trying to recruit Josh to join his cause just because. Eddie being annoyed at PCO for no reason, trying to make it seem like PCO is costing them matches is bullshit. Those 2 storylines feel so forced & unbelievable.

Good look using the crowd shot instead of the stage with the hard cam. They should try to use more places with bleachers.

Kaz is exercising OPTION C!

I don't mind option c but not a fan of Kaz cashing in this early. Wish they would put a option c rule in place like 5 successful title defenses before you qualify.

I love Kaz's choice. He's an X-division legend that used that option to get another shot at the world title. Kaz is proven he doesn't need the X title. Fans by him as a threat to Josh.

Over Drive was better than expected. The World Title match was really good even if the outcome was predictable. Jordynn and Masha with another banger. Black Taurus was robbed. I assume Mid-Cardona is going back to the E. Taylor Wilde looked a little heelish against Mickie. For me Bully and Moose had the match of the night. Jason Hotch looks like a future star on the preshow.

Heel Trey Miguel? =interesting.
