Just a heads up, evidently there's been a rash of malicious messages for the PS4 that brick your console and you have to do a full reset (including wiping the entire hard drive). Set your messages to private so only people you know can message you, or off completely if you have some friends you're not exactly sure of.

Really? I looked at news sites, and even the Playstation site, and I haven't heard anything about this. I googled "PS4 bricking" after seeing the initial report and saw multiple other sites reporting the same, even if it's not true, better safe than sorry.

I’ve been getting odd spam messages for years, so this makes sense to me if it was the end goal.
Even if this is fake news I’m not taking chances after the past hacks.
