I can't wait to binge watch all 4 parts of the season 3 finale on my DVR!

So I've been binging Seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix and oh my God, it's the best wrestling ever. Everything is so great, everything and everyone matters, is important, and is integral to the promotion. Like, I HATE him, but I can't imagine a Lucha Underground where Vampiro isn't on commentary.

Good gawd almighty, Dante Fox vs Killshot is easily my favourite LU match ever. Killshot became my favourite wrassler ever after his vignettes, and I was saying from day one AR Fox would be a great fit in Lucha Underground.. All my dreams and aspirations came true with that out and out war. Bra-fuckin-vo!!

Back in May of 2016, El Rey Network taped the third and current season of Lucha Underground, and according to a new report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the future of the Lucha Libre themed show might be looking positive.

The report notes the show might have found a new source of funding, with the caveat being that the show budget might be reduced drastically, as the new money source does not plan to spend as much per episode as the show has been spending in the past three seasons.


Meltzer has upgraded the future of the show from “bleak”, to “better than bleak”. Meltzer added, however, that many of the show’s top stars that he spoke to want out of their deals with the promotion, given the current situation.

I'm worried how season 4 will look now. I love the current formula: tv show mixed with in-ring action and it's good in-ring action. No fluff.

From Killshot and Fox killing each other than winning the trios titles with The Mack to Jeremiah Crane hitting Ivelisse with a hammer because he loves Catrina. King Cuerno stealing the gauntlet hand? from Mil Muertes. Puma winning the belt only to lose it to Pentagon Dark in part to Vampiro holding his foot. This season was insane.

Just read the results of AAA Guerrera De Titanes. How does AAA constantly get away with being so amazingly bad. DQ finishes and pointless turns and screwy endings in basically every match at every big show. Why are they still so big in Mexico, it just amazes me

Lucha Underground is gearing up for the filming of Season 4 and an exclusive report is noting that the show will be leaving its famous stomping grounds behind.

According to Uproxx, the Temple is dead. Long live The Temple.

The new location for the premier wrestling show will be Union Central Cold Storage on Industrial in downtown Los Angeles

There’s a bit of a “cold” motif happening this upcoming season, since they’re wrestling in a warehouse that formerly served as cold storage, so viewers will notice that color palate, Uproxx reports.

“I think when you have to make your set a character, and that was one thing we were really good about doing with the temple, is that the temple became a character,” said Eric van Wagenen, producer. “This was a legitimate cold storage building for 67 years. It’s now been repurposed for a set. But if you look around you see that this was a place where they kept things cold and where they made ice. So if you start with that, and then build outward I think it makes everything much easier. And it feels authentic, and just walking around this place sets a certain mood.”

Chris DeJoseph, co-excutive producer said the universe will branch out to different places and maybe some more new locations.

“And that’s a super exciting part about the show, and being able to go somewhere different and there’s all different new places to play around in here,” DeJoseph said. “More toys, more fun, and also it gives us a chance to put a little bit of a fresh coat of paint on the show … I think we always embrace the old history. But I think its cool to have a nice fresh coat of paint on something and have something new. We did pretty much everything we could at the old building.”

Lucha Underground’s twitter will also be updating fans this week as to when tickets for tapings will go on sale.

No word yet on which stars are confirmed to return for Season 4. However, the women’s roster saw Black Lotus return at the end of last season. She joins Kobra Moon, Taya, Ivelisse, and Mariposa. No word yet on if the show will continue using Sexy Star, if Catrina will be back since she’ll be filming a movie, or if ring announcer Melissa Santos will continue her post since she just gave birth.

I wonder what the new home looks like..

Former WWE Star Appearing Lucha Underground Season Four
The sheet is also reporting that former WWE star Jack Swagger worked Sunday night’s Lucha Underground TV tapings in Los Angeles.

Swagger will be appearing on the fourth season of the show, which taped throughout the weekend, however his role on the show remains unknown as he reportedly appeared in a dark match on Sunday night. LU will contuinue its season four TV tapings in the coming weeks.

Damn good signing, I wonder if he signed on to LU to still be committed to his BELLATOR MMA training. Shocked TNA didn't jump at this, Swagger is damn good. Swagger has been and still is a beast in the ring.

Wonder what name he will go by. I hope he isn't considering still "The Wrestler formerly known as Jack Swagger" because that's awful. Maybe he pulls a CODY and goes by Jack and Catalina Swagger or something.

If he wasn't still committed to BELLATOR, I would have urged him to jump with NJPW because his stiff style would bring forth great matches with Goto, The Underboss and other big guys. Given Elgin's domestic violence stench, Swags would have been the perfect replacement.

According to SoCalUncensored, the current reigning IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion, Chelsea Green, aka Laurel Van Ness, made her debut.

On February 25 she was involved in a four-way match with Jeremiah Crane (Sami Callihan), Marty “the Moth” Martinez, and Exolicious (Sonny Kiss).

I happy for Chelsea Green. I think she'll have a fun role on LU. I've never cared for Jack Swagger, maybe his run in LU will change that sentiment. As for Tommy, I've enjoyed most his work even the stuff he's doing or did in the N.W.A. seems enjoyable but his run in TNA was very grating.

Fave match so far has been Dante Foz vs Killshot from UL III. Just.. wow. They killed it and each other in that one. Obviously there have been numerous other matches that have been just as good, though, but that was one I was waiting for and it never disappointed.

 Lucha Underground stars Jack Evans and Angelico have announced they are finished with Lucha Underground.

Evans added comments on his status for the fourth season of the show, noting he will appear on the show for “a bit”. Evans also made a comment about being “lied” to regarding his LU contract, however given the latter part of the statement it is unclear whether or not he was making a sarcastic joke.

I'm missing Jack Evans already

I gotta admit Jake Strong was pretty impressive during his debut last week.

I was recently checking in on this, just watching what I could find and it's a pretty good show. A little hokey at times but it's something new...also Catrina kisses and licks of death gave me a pretty raging boner.

I've been catching up on the new season of Lucha Underground, digging Jake Strong (Jack Swagger) on the show, always liked the guy, so it'll be interesting to see how his character plays out throughout the season.

Living in the UK it's not possible to catch Lucha underground on a regular basis but I've been checking out the highlights thanks to the beauty of YouTube & it's not been bad over the last 2 episodes of season 4.

Really pleased to see Jake Strong aka Jack Swagger being used as a serious threat, focusing on his in ring talent & his character is what WWE should have had him be. The match between him & Johnny Mundo was great apart from the end which I didn't understand as I don't know the entire storyline what Johnny is involved in but I am aware his time in the company is coming to an end but Jake Strong hopefully continues to grow and show the WWE what they are missing out on.

Vampiro on commentary is the only thing I don't like as his voice is Flat but the action is entertaining enough to make you forget about that.
