I was really afraid refs were going to pick up that flag even though the illegal contact was clearly what led to the INT, took way too long talking about what should have been an easy call.
Gotta credit that Jags defense, front especially manhandled the usually stout Pittsburgh O-Line. Brown and Juju had their chances, but Ben just wasn't getting the time.
Also disappointed that anytime the game starts out a bit harsh, they completely abandon the run game. Chiefs I understood, they had to score quickly and often and it was working. But in the first Ravens game and now this one, they just forgot about it early on. I was dying there at the end when we didn't get A SINGLE run on the 1 WITH a timeout on the board; thankfully made it anyhow, but it was killing me.
I just hope the droning on about Bell isn't too severe on commentary, what with Conner's 2 potentially game losing drops.

You could kind of predict some sort of injury to Smith happening when most of the Washington o-line went down with injuries. Obviously not to that extent, and unfortunately at his age a double leg break may well be the end of his career.
The Saints are unsurprisingly destroying the depleted Eagles. I think New Orleans are the the #1 power ranked team.

Ifthe Chiefs best the Rams tomorrow it’ll be a real battle for number one. Since I’m betting on Rams, I’d guess you’re right.

Smith has a broken fibula and tibia. He had to have immediate surgery on it.
Hope it's not a career-ender like Theismann's.

Flipped over to the Chargers/Broncos game because LAC are the one relevant team that I haven't got to see yet this season (why do they never get featured games?) and their kicker misses a PAT (sounds about right) and then Von Miller makes a fantastic pick reading a screen play. If we had a Chargers fan here I'd switch back for their benefit.

Wow, and now the Broncos go down the field and take the lead. They've had an underwhelming season but what a rookie class they've got. Lindsay and Sutton accounting for the majority of yards on that drive.
Denver got hosed by the officials on their two point try - Keenum fairly obviously broke the plane but they've ruled him short.

That horrible third down throw by Rivers was very similar to Rodgers on the same down and similar time from Thursday night.
That non challenged two-point conversion is looking even bigger now.

Glad Denver didn't lose on the two point gaffe, and especially that inexplicable OPI.

That was a clutch GW drive by Keenum, a couple of great throws.
Chargers will be ruing that missed XP and that horrible final offensive play where they stopped the clock with an incompletion.

Khalil Mack is definitely in destroy mode tonight. The NFC North must be cursing the Raiders for unleashing this guy on them.

This is a massacre so far - Minnesota can't do anything on offence. Mack is blowing up every second play and Cousins is rattled.
On the other side of the ball I've been impressed by this group of Bears receivers. Robinson and Gabriel have both made nice catches tonight, and Anthony Miller has started to show up the past couple of weeks and did a brilliant job to keep the ball off the turf of the TD.

As ludicrous as it sounds, with Alex Smith going out for the year, and no other team in the division having a winning record the Giants still have a shot to make the playoffs, and even win the division title.

I predicted the Giants winning the division back in week 3(also predicted Texans winning AFC South, they were 0-3 at the time I made those), the version of that team we seen in that Texans game looked pretty good to me, pretty stellar trio of Eli/Barkley/Beckham on offense, I believe Barkley is the only RB to really have any success against our D but I don't remember what his stats where for that game(I remember a couple of big runs). Edit: actually no I didn't, I had Philly winning at 11-5 and the Giants stealing the last NFC Wild Card spot at 10-6.

I think the jury has been out on the Bears for a while now as people have tried to work out whether they are a real threat or had a slightly flattering record, but they've announced themselves loud and clear as a legitimate playoff team tonight. Cousins has had some ordinary protection but the Bears defence has completely dominated him, and they are a genuine game winning unit.

I posted last week that we were going to win the division while you were talking about us losing draft position! 3li baby. I'm still a realist. It this team wasn't in the NFC Least it wouldn't have a prayer. But it happens right now Washington has lost their starting QB, and the Eagles are a shell of their former selves. Dallas however has also won 2 straight and is still in the hunt.

It ain’t looking as good as I would hope.

Another coincidence in the Alex Smith injury, while the Redskins won the Theisman injury game...the final score was 23-21.

That Alex Smith/Joe Theisman stuff is very strange.
As for the NFC, if you were a team still fighting an uphill battle for a playoff spot, everything went right. The Panthers and Vikings both losing just opened the doors or kept them open for teams like the Packers, Seahawks, Lions, Cowboys and Eagles. The Redskins loss was a double plus for Dallas and Philly.... and the Giants. The Cowboys and Seahawks have it in their hands right now. The Cowboys get to face the Redskins on Thanksgiving and the Seahawks get to travel to Carolina to face the Panthers who are undefeated at home.
Speaking of the Panthers; both the Titans and Panthers went for 2 and the win and both failed late in games. When being a hero goes wrong. Both times, they went for the pass instead of trying to run it in from 2 yards out. Inexcusable, in my opinion.
I needed to edit this because next week the Packers face the Vikings and are in primetime position to get a wildcard.

Should have signed TJ Yates, he has experience playing behind turnstile o-line in Houston last year he was ready to go.

Turns out that it’s only been five years since we’ve gotten two teams this far into the season with one or fewer losses, and the Chiefs were one of the teams. The Broncos were 8-1 and Chiefs weee 9-0 in 2013. KC went 2-5 from that point on.

I’m so excited for this game BUT fantasy football has to ruin shit all the time. I’m up 50.2 PPR with my opponent having Gurley and Woods left. I would be confident in my lead if the sports world didn’t keep taking about this being the HIGHEST SCORING GAME EVER! So I have to obviously root for the Chiefs here and fuck it. Defense will come to play! Because both sides are tired of the disrespect! Marcus Peters is going to have a pick 6 in this game and it’ll be the first score of the game. Mahomes will lead his team downfield on the next play and connect with Kelce for a huge 65 yard TD. Just like that, the game is tied at 7! The announcers will go crazy because this is what we came for! Then on the next drive, the Chiefs will give up a huge play to Brandin Cooks but find a way to stop them from scoring a TD. 10-7 Rams going into the 2nd quarter. The Rams add another FG here in the 2nd and the defenses have shown up. With under a minute to go before the half, Mahomes connects with Travis Kelce again for a TD and Kelce already has 4 catches for 150 yards and it’s only halftime. Chiefs lead 14-13 going into the half. The 3rd quarter is followed by both teams punting away their digest drive. In the next drive, the Rams have Todd Gurley break free for a 45 yard TD run eclipsing 100. Sean McVeigh decides not to go for 2 yet and gets the extra point. 20-14 Rams. The Chiefs get a FG off before the 3rd comes to an end and we get to the 4th quarter with a score of 20-17 for the Rams. The Rams end up getting another TD as Goff hits Tyler F’n Higbee for the TD. Rams are up 27-17 with 9:45 to go. Primetime! Yes, @admin, take a shot. Here comes Mahomes. After an incomplete pass on the first play, Mahomes hits a streaking Tyreek Hill for a 75 yard TD pass. It literally takes 25 seconds off the clock for the two plays and the Chiefs have cut it to a 27-24 deficit. The Rams are forced to punt on the next drive and the Chiefs get it with over 5 minutes to go. Mahomes makes an errant pass on the first play and is AGAIN picked off by Marcus Peters. This dude is here to fuck shit up! The Rams get 1st and goal from the 8 with 3 minutes to go. Gurley runs for a yard on the first play and Andy Reid uses his second timeout. On the next play, Jared Goff hands it to Gurley again and he is tripped up at the 3 yard line for a 4 yard gain. Andy Reid uses his final timeout. Now the Rams can end this with a TD, so they turn to the brain of Sean McVeigh with the game on the line AND my fantasy game on the line. McVeigh gets fancy, Goff fakes the handoff to Gurley, rolls to his right and throws it to Brandin Cooks and it’s.... .... OVERTHROWN! 4th and goal with 2:25 to go, the time now stopped and the Rams have a decision to make. Sean McVeigh goes with the smart route and kicks a chip shot FG. 30-24 Rams and there’s 2:21 left on the clock. Here it comes. PRIMETIME! Shots, shots, shots, shots. Mahomes dumps the first play off to Hunt who takes it 15 yards and to their 40 yard line. We reach the 2 minute warning and Mahomes has 60 yards to go for the dub. McVeigh is pacing on the sideline, Andy Reid stiff as a spaghetti eating Garfield. Mahomes throws an incomplete pass to Kelce and then hits Hunt again for another 15 yards, but he’s tackled in bounds. Andy Reid’s Kryptonite is time management and he’s out of timeouts. Mahomes rushes his people to the line, calls a play and then hits Kelce for a 25 yard catch. Travis Kelce has over 200 yards and arrogantly flaunts as time is ticking. Everyone hurries to the line and Mahomes spikes it at the 20 yard line with 52 seconds to go. The LA across is taking selfies and talking about wildfires. On the field, Mahomes is going for the win. On the next play, Mahomes throws an incomplete pass and another incomplete pass. 3rd down from the 20 and who does Mahomes go to? Mr Clutch, Travis Kelce with a 12 yard catch. Kelce is again tackled in bounds and Mahomes spikes it at the 8. 25 seconds left. This is Monday Night Football, baby! 2nd and goal, Mahomes tries to squeeze it in to Kelce in the end zone but it’s broken up. 3rd and goal, Mahomes tries to squeeze it in to Hill on the sideline at the 3 yard line, but Hill can’t pull it in. We are now down to 4th and goal with 11 seconds to go at the 8. The Chiefs need a TD. Sean McVeigh calls his final timeout and tells his defense to tighten up, double cover Kelce and watch out for Hill and Hunt. Andy Reid holds a clipboard. Here it is. Mahomes calls for the ball, the Rams send 4 guys. Mahomes scrambles to the right, pump fakes and he is running out of options, Mahomes is on the run, he’s running it in! Mahomes cuts to the left! Mahomes cuts to the right! Mahomes leaps forward and.... .... GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! I mean, wait, we’re not in Mexico. It’s in LA! TOUCHDOWN MAHOMES! He ran it in! Give this guy the MVP, give this guy the nickname. This guy is PRIMETIME! But wait, here comes Harrison Butker the kicker. It’s tied at 30 and he has a chance to win it. There is NO TIME on the clock. The snap is good, the placement is good and the.... .... KICK IS GOOD! Chiefs win in remarkable fashion. 31-30! NOW WHOS READY FOR SOME MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL?!?! This is the game of the year and I’m ready!
