Australia's big retail chain, Big W, has a few deals that have my interest.

God of War $29 AUD

FIFA 19 $35 AUD

Spider-Man $39 AUD

WWE 2K19 $39 AUD

PS4 Controllers $49 AUD

Got Detroit: Become Human for 19.99 at Amazon and got both Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition for 19.99 and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 for 24.99 both at Best Buy and had a 10 dollar certificate I had to use.

Missed getting both DQ11 for 29.99 at Best Buy online and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for 35 at Amazon. Will look out for both.

I think it's finally happening, but I'm getting so antsy because Wife wanted to be the one to place the order and I don't know if she has yet or not.

Looks like 🤯 will finally be joining you fine gents in the current gen of gaming consoles with that PS4/Spider-Man bundle for $199. Was also thinking of nabbing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and a PS Plus subscription or whatever the fuck it is I need now to play online because I think those things are on sale too?

Other than online play (if you're into that) I think that's a good spot to be in. By time you're ready for PS5 all the bugs will be worked out and you'll have a much bigger library of games to tackle.

Just have to give up that precious water cooler talk and run out the room screaming if they're talking about a game you haven't played yet to avoid spoilers.

Sweet, then I'm set. Because the only colleagues of mine who game are Italian and apparently only play FIFA. And I tend to be all business at the water cooler anyway; i.e., refill my water bottle as quick as I can and then get the hell outta Dodge.

I got a $100 Amazon gift card to blow and I really want to get Spider-Man for PS4. I've seen that it is on sale in the UK and Australia but I've heard that it won't be on sale in North America. Not sure where to look for that. Might have to do some googling today.

PS Plus usually has good deals on Black Friday and Boxing Day so this weekend I'll be checking it out.

Saw God OF war going for 17 on Amazon US. That's an easy purchase for anyone who hasn't played it. Game came out in what? February?

Loving BO4, seemingly everyone at my work plays it too so no shortage of people to play online with.

A quick search on Amazon tells me that the titles on sale for Black Friday are God of War and The Witcher package. I might pick up The Witcher package because I've never played it and it's really cheap (like 20 bucks).

Spider-Man is on sale...in a bundle with a Spider-Man themed PS4, 1TB hard-drive and two controllers.

Guess I'm waiting for Boxing Day, unless PS Plus has a good sale this weekend.

I'm looking at maybe getting a hard-drive though. I'm sick of having to delete and re-download games in my library when I want to play them, and I'm definitely buying Spider-Man and Red Dead 2 before the year is out. And Last of Us 2 comes out next year, and every other friggin game I want that I haven't played yet.

Got Horizon Zero Dawn Complete for $9.99 from gamestop. I dislike the company but for that deal I will deal with them.

Gave my wife the Amazon gift card so she could do a little shopping of her own. She’s debating over a pressure cooker and something else, I forget. If there’s a bit left over I might still grab The Witcher set, but I’m pretty set on games for now.

If RDR2 goes on sale on Boxing Day I’ll pick it up then.

Wife wanted to order the PS4 so that it felt more like her giving a gift, but didn't order it all week apparently. And now everything is out of stock come Black Friday.

Does this stuff come back in stock at the same prices, or did she/we miss the boat?

I feel like it's telling which console is the better one when PS4 is all sold out and Xboxes still abound. :lol:

I guess worst case if I missed out on PS4 again, I can maybe finally drop $70+ on a copy of Zelda N64.

Wife is holding out hope for Cyber Monday for the console bundle becoming available again.

Meanwhile, impatient 🤯 is blowing some birthday dough on on-sale games. Credit card is getting declined though because I guess the company is suspicious about us both doing simultaneous spending at Walmart, etc. from different devices with the same credit card?

Anyway, assuming the orders process, should be getting CoD:BO4, CoD:WWII, Battlefield 1, Destiny 2, WWE 2K19, and Wolfenstein II for a starting point. Then maybe hopefully Spider-Man if that bundle becomes available again.

Will likely pick up Xenoblade: Torna the Golden County when I get internet hooked up to this place.

I was down on WWE 2K19, but I haven't bought a WWE game in six odd years and after playing through a season of HCTP, I felt like it was time to see how it stacked up to modern standards. Spiderman was one of those games that had me leaning towards picking up a Sony console and while I ultimately went with Yakuza 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2, I did want to pick it up at some point. For $40 this early on? Yeah, I wouldn't mind checking it out for GotYs. Similar deal with God of War and Monster Hunter World. Both are right up there for GotYs and for that price, it was too difficult to say no.

I think that should sort me out until Kingdom Hearts III makes it's way out in January.

Update:

Just found a bundle at Walmart for $299 for a 1TB PS4 Slim, Red Dead Redemption 2, and an extra controller. If my math is right, that's essentially RDR2 and a controller at no discount and a $199 PS4. Is that really a deal? I honestly had no interest in Spider-Man, and was only into that deal because of the $199 System essentially. And that didn't include a second controller.

I guess worst case if better deals come out on Cyber Monday, I can either cancel orders or start the return/refund process.

Hopefully Wife won't be too mad at me pulling the trigger instead of her, and technically spending $100 more than I told her this whole adventure would cost.

$40 is a controller when on sale price and the 199 ps4 is a really great deal. RDR 2 is probably normal but that game is performing so well it just not going on sale. Overall a great deal.

I finally order the Xbox one X/
/PUBG bundle for $399.99 and should be able to get it at my house tomorrow. I was thought get the PS4 Spider-Man Bundle for $199.99 but decide not to going to wait for the PS5.

So of course Walmart offers the same bundle for $199 for Cyber Monday. And I'm actually able to add it to my cart! But before I can finish checking out, I get some bullshit error about the bundle now being out of stock.

Still fighting it out with Walmart customer care. Looks unlikely I'll get that $100 delta back, but oh well. I tried, and might still try. I am a little worried that being a thorn in their side has somehow indirectly held up their delivery of my bundle though.

I think 12/3 is when I can expect it?

I picked up NHL 19 99 Edition for 40 bucks. My first NHL game since NHL 17.

I also picked up American Truck Simulator bundle for 10 bucks off Steam. And, I got a G29 wheel, pedals, and shifter for about $250 on Amazon.

Well, got everything I ordered. Lost the fight with Walmart. Will never shop with them again if I can help it. Worst part of it all though is... Wife is making me wait until Christmas to open everything. WTF?!?! I'm a grown ass man (or so I thought) -- I shouldn't have to wait for Christmas like some chump preteen!

Well, feeling pretty disheartened and like this whole deal just isn't meant to be.

Hooked it up last night, powered on seemingly fine, stuck in the b Destiny 2 disc... And that fucking thing promoted like a 105-minute wait for was update download.

Then the PS4 kept going to sleep/turning off/crashing () throughout, in such a way that it won't turn back on without a bunch of bullshit and a lot of luck.

Am I doing something wrong? Do others experience anything like this? Is it simply an idiot fix for some rest mode setting that I might've changed? It says I've got the latest software installed, so hopefully that's not the issue.

Or should I not tolerate this bullshit? Go return the fucker, and either try an Xbox or just keep my money?

Why can we never have nice things? I say try another ps4. No xbones about it.

Massive updates are going to be a part of every game, especially games like Destiny 2 that have had several DLC add ons, so you’ll have the same problem with an Xbox.

So I think the power issue turned out to be an issue with the dumb as fuck electrical wiring in this apartment. So that's actually resolved now. Probably need to cancel my RMA request with Sony.

Got to play a little Destiny 2 with friends back in Pittsburgh for the first time for a little while last night. It was alright. Fun enough FPS with gorgeous graphics. Reminded me of a hybrid between Halo and anime? Not sure it's up my alley enough to stick with on my own. Have a feeling CODs and Battlefields will be more my speed/style.

I feel like there's a general learning curve too I need to get over when light-year leaping from N64 into PS4, so I'm trying not to get frustrated by certain newfangled complexities that probably aren't that complex to every other player.
