Former ROH Star Reportedly Finished With WWE Following Bullet Club Photo Incident



During the Bullet Club’s “invasion” of WWE Raw two weeks ago, which took place on September 25th, several photos of Bullet Club were posted on social media, one of them featuring former Ring of Honor star and current WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jacobs left WWE last week following the September 25th incident, however it has yet to be confirmed whether or not Jacobs has been granted his official WWE release. The Sheet report added there was major heat on Jacobs for taking the photo and posting it on Instagram.



As we previously noted, WWE officials were not happy at all with the Bullet Club ‘invasion’ prank, and the company even sent a cease and desist letter to The Young Bucks demanding that they stop using the “two sweet” hand gesture made famous by the nWo.

WWE's so fucking petty with everything. They micro-manage every little detail, and they make a big scene for something so small, as posing for a picture.

I thought this sort of stupid shit was largely in the past but apparently not.

I thought a) WWE didn't see RoH or any other company as competition and b) that if they did' that competition was good for business? Apparently, they do and it isn't.

Owens, Zayn, and AJ have actually been in Being the Elite episodes. WWE talent was videotaped having dinner with New Japan stars on their last tour of Japan. Xavier & Kenny Omega have had a videogame rivalry for years, with both appearing together on screen. Jimmy Jacobs gets fired for taking pictures with friends he's known for ages.

So fucking petty. Fairly hypocritical as well. They trumpet the DX invasion as a key moment in the Monday Night Wars. When the Bullet Club parody it for a harmless online video a few thousand people will watch, cease and desists and firings rain down, ironically making Bullet Club MORE popular and making them MORE money.

At least now he doesn't sit through crappy creative meetings now.

This is a win for wrestling fans. A super talented and now WWE trained writer just hit the free market. Jacobs in Bullet Club would be awesome as well.

LMAO. Wonder if this is announcing him joining the bullet club.

You'd think with hindsight being 20/20, and WWE having done this to their competition in the past. I would have made this 'invasion' work for the WWE - let them in. Let them walk all the way down to the ring and see how over they actually are.

Smart thing to do would have gone to NXT and sat in the front row, you've got a smart crowd who will react to a pen dropping on the floor, if it was held by a BC member.

I would take a stab and say this was an excuse to fire Jacobs, indy cred or not, what's the possibility he wasn't very good at his job or fit the WWE culture?

Anyways, didn't WWE also let one of the Highlanders go back in the day because he popped up on TNA or something like that?

He crashed ROH's Global Wars last night in Chicago.

I'm jealous he didn't crash Saturday's event here in my city.
