I dunno how it is with WWE since they have that weird independent contractor, but not really LOL clause but I always assumed you had to be employed for a year in the US to take advantage of maternity leave. And even then I thought it was only 8-12 weeks paid? Ehh, whatever.

Maria being signed anyways was always a head scratcher. We all know Mike only got signed as a bargaining chip, but why? Why did they want her so bad?

Such a waste of good money. They wanted her and she pretty much just dropped him off and left. I had a similar situation with a league on DC Universe. We wanted this cool healer in our league. She had a new friend who wasn't so good. They both joined and she stop playing shortly after that. That person eventually became a friend and useful but for a long time they were just some puppy left at out door step that we had to take care of.

I don't think they wanted Maria specifically and I don't think they wanted Mike specifically.  For some reason they had interest in them as a package deal but I really don't get it...
