Total topic derailment.... Are you suggesting smackdown being on a network will be bad for the show? Maybe? Only for whatever segment of audience doesn't have cable? I don't know. I was more mouth farting there than anything probably. I"m not a fan of how it wont be live for us west coasters in north america. I know I usually don't watch live anyway, but I like when I can watch live.

That sucks. Is RAW also on a delay?

$4.99 a month doesn't sound bad at all to me. I mean, compared to the WWE Network, it's not great, but come on. It's not like you have to take out a mortgage to watch AEW. The hyperbolic reactions are very strange to me.

The hyperbolic reactions are very strange to me. Yeah, a bit of an over-reaction, but there's nothing on it apart from their weekly show. And now they're asking for an additional $3 for 'additional content' - Behind the scenes stuff - I'm guessing they want people to pay for, what was originally intended for BTE.

I don't know why they couldn't call the show AEW until they find their footing than name the show. The name Dynamite sounds so corny.

Dynamite = TNT
It’s fun and a little clever. It fits AEW well.

So £4.99 a month and I can watch it live/on demand.
Good stuff. From cold to lukewarm.

So Tony Khan's excuse is that ITV are under strict free-to-air commercial regulations and aren't allowed to air as much advertising as stations in the US.
I don't buy it. What's stopping ITV just sticking an AEW logo there to fill dead time while we wait for American commercials? Absolutely no one is going to watch an edited show on a 4-day delay first-thing on a Sunday morning. They have fucked it. I'm content with the Fite TV workaround, but their hopes of growing in the UK as they wish to are dead in the water.

And they still don’t have a deal here in Canada. According to Meltzer they’re close to one with TSN, but anything short of it airing live is going to be pointless. And the premiere is in less than a week, so they’ll have almost zero advertising.
Not great.

Or a deal in Australia. If you think, we’re just a far off outpost in the middle of no where, well you’re right. But we filled the MCG last year, sees a WWE tour yearly and even NJPW makes an effort to come out, there’s a market here.

But I could've bought a five dollar footlong from Subway a few years ago with that money. Now my time traveling sub fund will be diminished to only a penny per week! What kind of sub can I get for a single cent!?!? I shudder to think...

Bit of news today.
AEW locked down a deal with TSN in Canada at the last minute and they’ll be airing every episode of Dynamite live. TSN and their blog “BarDown” have been posting recaps of AEW stuff on Twitter all day to try and get people caught up before tomorrow.
Also it was announced on the countdown show just now that Jericho’s partners in the main event tomorrow will be Ortiz & Santana. Pretty cool. I’m looking forward to that fight.

That's awesome news. This means I'm watching Dynamite live, and NXT on PVR.

They also announced the show is available on demand in the UK from 7pm Thursday evening, and will be shown in full on Friday night and Sunday morning, with a condensed version on the main ITV channel on Monday nights.
Great couple of days for AEW and I'm glad they've sorted this out.

Everybody shares the same common ground on MJF - he's awesome.
I'm not sure if you're aware but there's a popular clip of him floating around when he was six years old on the Rosie O'Donnell show proclaiming he'll either be a Pro Wrestler or an Opera singer. Even at six, the guy had charisma.
I also love his ongoing feud with Canada's sweetheart Alica Atout.

MJF is what happens when Seth Rogan finds Pro. Wrestling instead of weed.

Rogan is Canadian, he's too nice to be MJF.
Jonah Hill on the other hand...
In saying, I still think the EC3 comparison was the most apt.

Jimmy Havok and Darby Allin have a number one contenders match for the world title.
Don't really know what to make of that.

What if they hadn't called it a 'number one contenders match' but just a match where the winner faced Jericho. Sort of like, one of these guys gets a title shot, but were not saying they're the best challenger.
