Apologies, it's already an infamous interview in some segments.
It was with the Wrestling Observer.

You have to pay to get Wrestling Observer interviews right? Or maybe some kind soul stuck it on YouTube.

Turns out the Jericho interview is from Talk is Jericho. An hour+ long episode of Jericho talking about his career over the past few years. How he got to New Japan, his discussions with Vince, All In, Jericho Cruise, and AEW. Fantastic listening. It ended with a very long sell job of AEW, and I must say Jericho did a phenomenal job. That got me interested in AEW more than anything else. Let's put it this way: I'm more on board than I was this time yesterday.

That's a different interview, but I'm sure he covered similar territory.
Omega's interview on the Observer was said to be really good as well.

So I realise this is a stretch but I had no bloody ideal Conrad Thompson is married to Ric Flair's daughter.
Certainly adds fuel to the fire that Arn Anderson will be jumping, especially considering there is talk he had a flare up with Vince and got sent home (apparently).

Conrad Thompson is the smartest mark in the history of the biz. He was already a wealthy man, and by being the one man to finance a mortgage for Ric, not only parlayed that into marriage, but becoming one of the more influential people in the business with THREE highly profitable podcasts; merch; live appearances; a WWE Network show; Starrcast; and a working relationship with AEW. It's truly incredible.

Does AEW have a tv deal yet? I haven't been online much so I don't know the particulars.

Does AEW have a tv deal yet? I haven't been online much so I don't know the particulars. They reportedly already have two “major tv offers from real stations with real money” and are just deciding which one to go with. Jericho has also claimed they already have enough talent to plan out and execute the first full year of shows.

I'm really disappointed they've gone for Jim Ross on commentary. I love JR as much as the next guy but he's done and it will only date the product. The only way I can see it work is if he's adding colour as part of a three man team - but I'd also like them to stay away from a 3-man team so I just can't see me being a fan.

Bitter, perverted uncle now ranting about his former employer, while organising booze cruises with men half his age. He's ranting about the WWE? - he’s apparently banned from WWE, and all mention of his name is banned. He, funnily, criticised WWE on their lack of loyalty, based on what he gave WWE. Despite, Jericho working for NJPW, The Booze Cruise and now AEW.... - Vince thought his WM match with KO sucked. And that Vince thought KO sucked and Vince is wrong. - Jericho wanted WWE talent on his podcast and was told, No. What does he expect? Imagine Hogan in 1996 wanting WWF talent to appear on his radio show, as he’s working for WCW.

Jericho had to know this was coming. He’s an idiot if he thought otherwise.
THAT BEING SAID, he’s always advocated for talent sharing, open contracts, etc. He definitely hoped being allowed to go work in NJPW would lead to blockbuster matches between NJPW and WWE talent.
Imagine if Tanahashi vs Cena was happening this Sunday.
Anyway, I’m on Jericho’s side in that regard, but when he turns around and whines about Vince he looks like a moron. He should be taking the high road and just be like “I want companies to work together and Vince is still against that. Maybe his doofus son-in-law will go for it someday.”

Why should companies work together? Particularly at this level?
I can understand WWE working with a lower tier independent, in the case of Evolve. But why would WWE give AEW or NJPW a massive rub, only for AEW or NJPW to compete with them for talent, market share, etc
It’s also part of your product you can’t control the direction of, or its public relations, or perception to the media.

I'm listening to Jericho's podcast now where he discusses the points NATH45 laid out. You're making a mountain out of a molehill. Not the least bit bitter. He's poking fun at the pettiness of the WWE.

Hopefully they can come up with a TV deal in Canada. I'd like to see it on something like TSN or the Fight Network.

I would like to see AEW succeed, all it is going to take is production value... Something I have never seen outside of the WWE That's where WCW was so good from 1995-97, they had the better production values and forced the WWF to up their game.
Considering the WWE have scaled down their production values in recent years, the AEW has a decent opportunity to beat them in that facet.
