Forbes recently spoke to Tony Khan where it was noted that AEW received $43.7 million from TNT for their television deal. Despite this, the company is still in the red because they invested “8 figures” on their AEW Games division apparently. This is becoming an expensive hobby. Remind me again Mr. Financial Expert how Tony has no idea what he's doing? Tony Khan responded to people who were critical of him for investing $10 million into production of the video game and somehow interpreting that as AEW being a money losing company. Based on the way he is recognizing income and expenses, because of that $10 million investment in the game, AEW won’t turn a profit this year and in theory, because the revenue would be recognized with little of the expenses, would lead to a very large profit next year. Other companies would recognize the expenses of the game in the year the game comes out as opposed to the year of the expenses.
Just to clarify because there is a lot of confusion. Khan has invested $20 million into Epic Games which is separate from the money invested in the video game and doesn’t have to do with AEW. It’s a personal investment but because of the way it came up in a wrestling interview people thought it was tied to AEW. He invested another eight figures (in excess of $10 million) into production of the videogame. He said the $20 million investment has already paid off because his percentage of Epic is now worth closer to $40 million based on the price of the latest round of investments.Epic is wearing down people with years of weekly game giveaways. No one supported the launcher at first, but I passively followed them and just grabbed free stuff I may want to play and am up to like 40 games now. They launch an exclusive, I went from piss off, to oh well, I guess I will install the launcher. They launch their game as an Epic timed exclusive, they will make their money back much, much faster. Investing in Epic was a good idea too. They are a growing company that actually still makes games people play, unlike the leading company who fears the number 3.

On his Saturday Night Live stream, Jericho bagged out Shotzi Blackheart for making light of his big bump in Blood and Guts.
Paraphrasing, but if she's looking for a job in AEW in 6 months time she better think again.

Don't know what Shotzi did but Jericho has been selling that bump huge, referring to it as MJF trying to kill him. It's hard to take seriously but Jericho is really trying and I can understand him being pissed off at someone mocking the spot.

I don't think Shotzi is blaming Jericho that AEW did an awful job of exposing the spot.

AEW just brought Konnan in who with Disco Inferno questioned AEW all the time but because he's cool with Jericho, that gets a pass. 2020 and 2021 have made me sour so much on Jericho with the insurrection posing pictures(Or well his wife supposedly) and doing Fozzy tours in hot spots during the pandemic. I am with Shotzi on this one, he's taken so many shots at the "Developmental brand" he can take a little gif. She will find a way to get work if WWE doesn't work out, she doesn't need AEW. She's well liked by a lot of people by all accounts and Vince probably likes her for trying out for Tough Enough the way he bangs the desk hard for Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville and gave Patrick Clark/Dream all the chances possible.

Miz and Priest put work into their feud and did a climax of it with zombies but that was mocked by Jericho. Jericho's a big, overgrown baby. I still remember him getting worked up about Sebastian Bach threatening to whoop his midget sized ass after he said Jericho lipsyncs

It was actually a comfy stream, Jericho was talking about his latest book and was just going into detail about random matches. He was giving out on his publishers for refusing to publish what was essentially a stats book and claimed it had sold thousands so he was already in a mood when the Blood and Guts topic came up. I think it started up because he was talking about his feud with the Inner Circle and how they've been able to produce this body of work together that fans can look back on and be impressed with. He then talked about how unconventional it was to do Blood and Guts as the opener and admitted it was TK's call because they were desperate for ratings. It wasn't something he would have done, but they delivered and he took one of the biggest bumps of his career as a 50 year old. I thought at first he made some good points but then he just got carried away about the critics on social media and then called out female talent in the WWE to really narrow it down.
Jericho is still an all-timer in my books and definitely a front page WWF No Mercy guy but he gets hung up on the strangest things. It reminds me of 2002 when he had a rant because Wade Keller didn't rate his match with Rob Van Dam at King of the Ring.
Speaking of RVD, he's the first guy I've really heard speak ill of Jericho. Atleast without being on hard drugs like Vampiro back in the day. Apparently Jericho was the worst person to put a match together with because he'd want to get his stuff in and he'd try and change everything to make Van Dam look like a dumbass. But Rob is smarter than what people give him credit for and recognised it and it really pissed Jericho off. I think this was around the Invasion Era where even Stone Cold who was really doing anything he could to protect his brand conceded that Van Dam was the most over star in the company.

RVD is selfless and really chill by all accounts(And really aware of how the business side works as evident by his tweets the past few months by giving a lot of respect to Vince despite being an ECW original and all) but he is really smart and "woke" in terms of the wrestling business and isn't someone to disregard as some stoner flunkie. Taz tried that and picked a hand and took one on the chin. RVD also bashed Shawn Michaels for the same things you mentioned Big Pete , didn't get along with him. Jericho is very well connected and buddy buddy with a majority of people. I think in addition, it's just Cornette who they throw barbs at one another as far as enemies go. And Larry Zbyszko, Bill Goldberg, Scott Hall & Billy Graham. Brock Lesnar too, Jericho flirts with trolling him but nearly got clocked by him years ago. Cornette trashed Stadium Stampede I and said guys like Jericho and Matt Hardy should be ashamed to green light this and put their years of reputation out and both guys never forgave Cornette for that. They both get too caught up in self hype. Jericho has done tons of good, his big donation to Rico Constantino when he had his serious health issue jumps out immediately and I respected how stance on the WWE Hall of Fame when he stood up for Maria Menounos but the last 2 years, he's come off bush league to me.

These weekend airings of Dynamite are killing my ability to post about the show in a timely fashion but I can't believe no one acknowledged the Konnan/Tully promo.
"You better learn how to speak Spanish, Tully, because you're gonna need a way to talk to your grand kids" is one of the best lines in wrestling for a long time - what a dagger!

I thought so too but at the time I didn't any one else was watch. Konnan also made P&P seem more interesting in one promo then the entire time in inner circle. And he combined his normal stuff and mixed in Tessa to prove he is right.

Bully Ray nails it on The Insecure King Eddie Kingston. Near 40 year old guy getting on the mic speaking on a locker room he's never been in before and speaking down on another company is as insecure as it gets. Man was testing waters on a WWE tryout not too long ago IIRC. Not a good look.

The man was testing waters on a WWE tryout not too long ago IIRC. Not a good look. Nobody is a bigger fan of Eddie than me except for c , but, Bubba is 1000 right, here. I get what Eddie's trying to do, he knows a big amount of AEW fans are disgruntled WWE fans or ex fans and is trying to play the crowd up and make their experience live on the shows worth a while and he probably hates some of the guys and gals getting cut recently. But it just screams insecurity to me, not sure why AEW needs to rely on smacking the competition to propel themselves. But I think he knows this is what Tony Khan etc. feed off of and like it so I get why he did it. Just makes him look really bad as a near middle aged man to do this, same with Chris Jericho. Outside of very few instances, it's funny that the young guys and gals of AEW like the Jungle Boy's, MJF's, Darby Allin's, Varsity Blonde's are the ones who mainly stay away from engaging but the Rhodes brothers, Jericho, QT Marshall, Taz and Kingston are the middle aged men who feast off of the negativity. You'd think young=immature & old=mature. Not quite the case here.

To me Blindy, it is very insecure. I love AEW. Wrestling, like everything else, isn't perfect. AEW has a lot of flaws. I find the way they project characters to fans more than WWE. let FANS decide to talk about that crap online. As a wrestler, you speaking about backstage matters is whack. That approach doesn't gain new fans. All it does is drive away current fans. If Jungle Boy, for example, would have beef with Dom Mysterio over something personal on social. That would be more understandable than grown men whining about their former employers to stroke their egos.

I can't believe Eddie's promo turned into this giant clusterfuck. You'd think the dude actually said something controversial the way people have gone on about it.
Bully Ray taking shots is just laughable. Dude is the biggest turncoat in the business - he said far more antagonistic stuff about WWE when they released him and the Dudleys went to TNA - and is now by all reports back to licking WWE's ass on his podcast, probably looking to get a job again.
